Thanks SK! This is what i was looking for! We're definitely just going to go this route with the embassy since it's right here. I feel safer doing it this way then sending it in somewhere.

 

I am brave for letting my fiancé do it! Although obviously I'm still helping since I'm even asking for this info...Perhaps I'm a little too controlling...ha-ha...he knows what he's getting into. Thanks again!

I am waiting for someone reply back right now,she is also sending her papers to WEDO tomorrow (She is getting married the day after us at another resort) I will find out exactly the address she is sending it to.
If it is Texas and you don't want that, why don't you send it to Montreal Or Toronto?
I know for a fact, you send it to Montreal and they do it in their office. That could be an option for you.. only problem is, it's a little more $$ then WEDO, Montreal charges $360US (with the money order, it came up to $400)

Just a quick note to tell the brides not to freak out too hard. We leave next Tuesday for our wedding next Saturday (!) and Carolina didn't start getting back to me until about 2 weeks ago. Her new email is [email protected] for anyone who didn't have it. There is an "s" after wedding, which is why my email weren't going through. We aren't going to be able to make many of our decisions, like cocktail hours or ceremony decor, until we get there. Which my FI reminds me is why we chose a DW!

Courtney, The girl I spoke to did send it to Texas.
So you can sent it to Montreal or T.O if you feel more comfortable (I know I wouldn't want to send it to the states either)

Regarding flowers

 

Carolina has a massive binder of different options for you to see when you get there, so I am sure you guys will find something you like (I sure did ;-) )

 

In the feedback form she gave me I urged her to put that and other visual material etc into pdf files to show to brides, but I guess she has not done that yet

Thanks Tracy, I'm just going to send the docs to the DR Consulate in Toronto, It comes to six something Canadian. Its alot, but at lease I will know its done right. We are going to the Notary Public on Tuesday to get everything signed, which is another $120 plus tax. Ugghhhh....I don't like spending money when I don't get to see where it goes!! lol

OMG nooooo do it with Montreal you'll pay $400!

And you don't need to get a notary person to notarize your papers. I called the city hall and they can do it for you. It'll cost less then $20.

Call your city hall make sure then can do that.

I'd love to see some of the pictures of the flowers.
