Married or going to be married at Grand Palladium Punta Cana?

Recommended Posts

LOL!! I know the feeling of always thinking what am I missing on here!!

3 and 3 is nice, I have 3 girls (hopefuly they will all make it) and so far we only have 1 GM. Feeling fustrated. Trying not to worry about it tho.

I just found out today, pretty much everyone is ignoring our rsvp dates and will reply when they feel like it!!

I don't want to be or sound like a b**ch but I'm at a point where I say, just forget coming,we'll enjoy much better not stressing over who is and isn't coming. sad.gif (besides the people who have rsvp'd already)

I was supposed to have my future sister in law stand but she can't make it, so it's just my sister. She can sign as long as she doesn't have the same last name as me. And my FI, I feel really bad for him, the BM can't afford to come and now the GM is seperating and can't afford to come.....so I don't know what we're going to do. My FI wants my son to stand but he's only 8!!! We'll see what's going to happen here.....

My Fiance and I are not really doing bridesmaids or groomsman, though we've never been traditional

I got an email from Carolina about decorations

-red carpet runner comes with package, it's optional (cue argument between me and my shoe-obsessed FMIL about whether or not to use it)

-sashes are as seen earlier, there are upgrades for a price, but she did not give any specifics, I've figured that all out already

-there are upgrades for the reception decorations, but again no specifics

-You can bring your own decorations (whew)

and she sent me a pic of a ceremony upgrade, but did not give me the price

here it is:

wow it's amazing, Thanks so much for the info!!!
I really think it's pretty, but I think the canpy is $250. so I will stick with what is including in the package for this one.
If you want to use the runner, why not wear sandals or flip flops for the ceremony part, then you can put your shoes on! (It's what i decided to do)
Do you know what decorations are included in the package? I've made centerpieces, is there anything else I should worry about bring with me?
I think I'll stick with the sash that is included (the orange) since it matchs the centerpiece, I guess you didn't get the extra cost?
what do you think? will you be upgrading the ceremony?
Thanks so much again!!

CarribeanLover and Shankd, we are all in the same boat! My FI's friends have all bailed on the wedding, or at least aren't committing to anything until the last minute. My FI's BM has now said he can't get the vacation time from his work, and his GM's fiance decided that she wants to get married in July next year which means they can't afford for him to come to our wedding...it's a mess. My FI doesn't even want to talk about it anymore he's so disappointed. Luckily my brother will still be a GM and my FI's dad will be BM. I'm hoping that some of his buddies will book last minute, but guys just seem so unreliable! All of my girlfriends booked within the first few weeks of finding out about it! Thank god for great girlfriends =) Ladies don't forget how fun it's going to be regardless of all these little snags. Plus we have each other there now as well!

That canopy is very nice, thanks for posting Nonnie!!

I have 2 BM/GM, all relatives. I'm trying to keep it simple, and along with most of you ladies, I wouldn't have an even number due to more potential BMs than GMs.

I have a good friend who may be crushed to find out she won't be standing in the wedding. Right now I'm debating to just pick someone to stand up with her or include her in a different way, such as a reading during the ceremony.

How are others handling friends who may assume they are going to be asked to stand up in the wedding but are not??

CherryBomb,

I feel your pain about the GM and BM!! I think allot of us are in the same boat.

LOL I think we may have to get each of our guys to be GM for each other LOL!!

I like the sounds of that very much, we are there for each other!!

How about matching the GM with the color of the BM dress's?

rgonzalez_83,

I have a friend who assume she would be maid of honor. But I asked her to be a BM. Because she didn't get the role she wanted, she pretty much turned me down. She knew it was the MOH's duty to throw the bach party, but I told her the BM are too help out and cheap in with the MOH, all she could say was "if I have time" so I told her to forget it!!! Thankfuly because all she can say is "I don't know if I'll come, I don't know where your rsvp is"

it's not the same as you, I know.

I would highly suggest including your friend in the sand ceremony, she can do the reading. I think she would appreciate that so much (besides she would have more of a role then any MOH or BM!)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
