Married or going to be married at Grand Palladium Punta Cana?

And Chicago thanks for posting the link to Jorge's photos. You are a beautiful bride!! And I love the photo of you and your hubby playfully embracing on the beach - it's just so candid and intimate but in a playful way - love it.

Chule,

You can actually just talk to Jorge and figure out a deal. What we initially wanted was to get 100 pictures that we would choose from hundreds that he would take. We altered his package to where we would only print 50 pictures. He does print them if that is what you would like.

In the end when we saw all 429 pictures...we just could not narrow it down to 100. We bought all 429 and decided to print them ourselves. You can always print those pictures yourself just as he would.

Of course the deal we made was also implementing a videographer in the price.

It was pretty much custom. Regardless, we got a very good deal considering the quality of his work and that we would pay double that here in Chicago.

Jerzy: LMAO!!!!!!!! you sound like me... I usually wake up around 12-1pm back home and 10-11 on vacation (don't want to miss all the sun and food) and he gave us 9am. I was very nervous I'd look like crap but I called it an early night the night before the shoot. honestly it takes 30-45 mins and then you can go back and take a nap. But do wake up an hour early to get your make-up put on. I suggest just wearing your hair lose and down.. it'll get messed up anyways!! :)

Chicago,

Thank you so much for all of this great information. I have been customizing the package with him but was just a bit concerned about the printed photos. He said that he would give me 50 proofs with a CD which I wasn't too sure of, but now...I think it will work being that I can print those pictures anywhere I wish. I mean I don't want to have extra photos just sitting in a box either ;)

I am hoping he will keep the later time (like 5pm) because he scheduled the day after our wedding so I know we will be up late on our wedding night celebrating with everyone. Getting up early for photos the next day just isn't going to work lol! Thanks for the tips... I am thinking hair down with simple make up. We don't have enough money to do actual wedding ceremony photos so this will be our "wedding" photos. I am hoping to do some by the beach, but saw someone do pics jumping into the pool which looked awesome! I prefer the beach but if there's time, I'd like both. Did you meet with HDC beforehand, or did you just decide everything once your photography day came? I know we are getting a great deal on price so whatever he does will work for us! Our budget is controlling everything right now unfortunately.

Tracy - I know I already told you that you are of course welcome to come see mine. And we really should try and get together for a drink and meet in person while there...I know for sure that the Sunday night (April 10) my entire group basically plans to take over Hemmingways (it`ll be our first night there as a whole group AND our MOH/BMs/GMs plan to do a little bachelor/bachelorette thing for us so sure to be rowdy one!) so if you're looking for something to do that night, there's where you'll likely find me :)

I'm REALLY confused about the rooms now :(  Should I have not had guest book in the RST?  We have a Romance Suite booked.  I wish I could do a site visit, but I just don't think it's going to be possible.  I'm extremely stressed about this now.  We have 40 guests coming so I know that we probably end up with some in 'older" rooms, but I just wish I could do the room assignments based on the people I know are easy going and the ones who are picky!  Ugh! msncry.gif  Type A coming out...

@Chicago ...were those real touch flowers?  You looked beautiful!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
