My site trip

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! We returned from our site trip last week and have almost everything figured out!! All you girls were so helpful. We decided on the Hilton. We just loved our posh it is, Emeline is great, and they have such great venues. We decided to do 3 nights of events. The first night is sort of a mini event, but we are doing a beach bonfire with smores and light food and margs and beer. Second night we are almost 100% doing the RD at La Panga, and the wedding will be at the Hilton. We met with a couple photographers, and are leaning towards Sergio (if anyone has used him let me know if you liked!!). We are doing a wedding cake with Chef Hatton (over 1/2 less than what Hilton is charging for a cake). Maye is arranging the music and flowers. She wants to use Flor de liz for flowers and either DJ Arturo Ortiz or DJ Ricardo. Her musicians are Sabrosura. Does anyone have any experience, either good or bad, with these venders? Ohh..such a FYI..one the way from the airport you pass this place called the Mega (sort of like a super target). We stocked up on beer and water and bread and PB and J, great way to save a TON of money!

Thanks for sharing. Personally, I haven't boked your vendors but I am aware of most of them. I haven't heard anything negative so rest assured that the main event will turn out perfectly.

Jenetta,

I do not remember seeing flowers at Mega. They did have a couple candles and votives, but not a big selection. There is a Costco there, and I believe the membership is international, so we are planning on joining here for $50, and using it there for wine for the RD and champagne for the wedding (we are paying corkage) and all teh stuff for the out of town bags.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
