  1. @@WhiteWedding2017 have you checked out the Karisma properties? this is where i decided to get married after months of research and comparisons! they have adults only resorts (el dorado) and family friendly (azul & generations), so depending on your guest list, you can narrow down the options. the wedding coordinators have been super easy to work with and my travel agent has been an amazing help as well! she is taking care of EVERYTHING for me and is even able to answer some questions before the wedding planner does!
  2. @@Sweetpea2018 did you go through a travel agent? they can usually get lower rates or negotiate better rates for you! That's what my travel agent did for me!
  3. you should definitely renew it. My friend had trouble with hers not being valid for 6 months. https://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/country/mexico.html
  4. hey all! i am new to this site, but am super excited about it! i've already been reading up on other topics! i am a destination wedding bride myself, getting married in August of 2016. but my real question is about the honeymoon!! we won't be taking it until our 1 year anniversary, but i already can't wait! We plan to do a 2 week tour of italy! from venice down to sicily! we want to stop in milan, florence, siena, rome, naples, pompeii, sorrento, the amalfi coast, san marco (that's where my family is from!), & palermo. does anyone have any experience traveling to any of these? are any a waste to visit? or any places you'd recommend that i didn't list? does anyone have any good recommendations of places to visit? restaurants? things to do? or tips and tricks to doing this? we've never been and i'd rather it be a little more personal than doing a guided tour. any help is greatly appreciated!! TIA!!!
  5. hey! I am also a Karisma bride... getting married at El Dorado Royale in August of 2016. I considered the Azul properties (and loved them) but they decided to cut the kids off the list (there would have been 26 kids!!). I've had such a great experience thus far working with the hotel. One thing I've come to realize, is that it does take a few days for a response from the WC. But being this far out, it is understandable, and they have many weddings well before mine. maybe I'm just very laid back.. But so far, no issues for me!
  6. yeah, I don't know if I've ever seen a resort that didn't charge for an outside vendor. depending on how good your room rates are, though, usually if they stay 3 nights, they waive the fee. for my wedding, the 3 night price is $250 less than the vendor fee so it works out well!
  7. the Azul resorts are amazing for weddings with children! and they have a "bride's dress rehearsal", which I went to. it is an amazing way to see the properties first-hand and really easy any worries of not really knowing what something looks like!
  8. hey there! I, myself, am a Karisma bride, getting married in August of 2016. Personally, I thought the wedding packages at the Karisma resorts were too amazing to pass up. They include a lot and have been so easy to work with!
  9. hey all! I am new to this site, but I am also a Karisma bride, getting married in August of 2016. I'm getting married at El Dorado Royale, but was just at Maroma for vacation! LOVED it!! It is absolutely stunning. But very small.. and VERY quiet.
