Since we're going through funjet I get a "planner" in the USA that deals directly with the resort so I kind of don' thave direct access to Jessica. I have the packet with the flowers, centerpieces. So there is one just for Gold?

@@Giocivs88 Did Jessica send you options for cake? I haven't seen those yet! I keep hearing about one of the cakes... I'm not sure the name but if I saw it I'd .. remember! haha

@@JenniferH114 - You're right! I always was thinking (in the states) I would do a donation in the guests names to a charity. Since I felt those add up quick and not sure if I could think of something people would actually KEEP! I love the fan idea. And the Maracas. Can I ask where you ordered the fans/maracas from? Also @@Sabes44 - I think I'm leaning towards maracas also! Where did you get yours? Oh and to all of you - Did you plan your wedding playlist? Are you using your iPhone?

Are you ladies doing table gifts at your actual reception, or are you considering your welcome bag to be the 'gift'. Do you need both?

@@Giocivs88 Don't be bummed it's on a Saturday< I think that's great! I think if I had the same options as you (being there before and from reading this awesome forum) I would vote Foyer also. It's SO pretty. The ony thing I heard negative was it could be some heat... but they said you can request fans. The foyer is elevated as the property goes down behind it so you'll have an AWESOME view of the resort up there. I think that would be a good choice! I feel your pain about the teachers. I have so many that i'll be hoping can make to my wedding also!

@@Sabes44 Ah you must be counting down the days! How long are you guys staying? We're figuring that part out now. We don't plan on leaving to go anywhere else for our "honeymoon" so i was trying to work out how long we should stay after. I think most of our guests will stay a day or two after. We'll see! I think Los Olas will be PERFECT! I can't wait to see pictures. Are you all set with all your plans? So excited for you.

@@upstatekj That all sounds so perfect! Are you doing food at the Xlounge? Is that the bar that's right off the beach? That sounds like a great place too! And how fun will that be to be there for the 4th. Are you doing the shot sign, at the ceremony? Or when they get to the reception. Good to know you're sending invites early! I didn't want people to be like why the heck am I getting this. Question for you. When are you handing out the bags, at the welcome dinner? And if so, how did you let your friends/family know there WAS a welcome dinner. Tables - I'm torn also! Would you do one long table or multiple. I think i'll do round. I feel no one can talk at long tables and this way maybe people will mingle and it'll fill up the room more. We have no idea how many are coming yet but I'm assuming close to your number!

@Giovivs88 Don't panic! You still have lots of time, and from what I hear all our pre-wedding panicking will be laid to rest the second you arrive. I'm so excited for you to see Excellence in person! You'll fall in love. What day is your wedding? Different places are closed on different days. The Lobster House is availble on Mondays and Fridays which may be why she didnt' offer this. Originally I was goign to have mine on a Saturday and the options she shared with you, are the same ones she sent me for that date. How many people are you having? Of those listed, Barcelona would most likely be the "coolest" temperature as it has AC, if you're wanting that! Los Olas is on the beach, as you'll see from pics. The Square is in the BACK of the property by the Agave restaurant. It's all based on what you're after!

@@JenniferH114 Thank you so much for your response! I know, now that you mention it about the square I could see what you mean for a sit down dinner. I'm looking for it to be mingling (as no one coming will know each other really), and just drinks and food. I liked your timeline with your invites. I was so unsure! We are definitely sending save the dates next month I'm just trying to figure out before/after the holidays to send the actual invites. I'm so excited for you! Are you bringing a lot down with you? That's the part that intimidates me. Jessica seems wonderful to work with and from all that I've read it seems most helpful that this is the real deal in the place to get your questions answered!

Hi ladies! I just recently joined and literally have spent all week going through this long post. how helpful and how wonderful it is to see how many people have selected ERC and know a heck of a lot more than I do! Our wedding is April 29, 2016, so we're a year out. I know a lot of you started planning months in advance so I'm glad I'm not alone! I've learned so much already. My wedding is at 5pm on a Friday, and the reception is at the Lobster House. I'm a little nervous because I'm told they cannot reserve it until about 2 months out but I guess I shouldn't stress over it! We are doing a civil ceremony. I had a couple questions for you all. - Does anyone know the "agenda" or order of how things go in the legal ceremony? I read some people did rings after signing the document. How was that? My fiancé is worried the signing of the documents might kind of take away from the beautiful ceremony but I don't think it bothers me at all! Seems like, something special to do. - We're doing a welcome dinner with just apps, is anyone else doing this? We're doing it at the Garibaldi square. I went to ERC a few years ago so I know the resort grounds pretty well I think! Looking forward to going back - How early did you all send save the dates, and invites? We plan to send out save the dates next month but not sure when to send the actual invites. - Has anyone done the civil ceremony but had anyone speak during? I read on an old thread that they brought their own minister but then just signed with the judge on the documents. I was just curious is anyone had any insight on this. We have a minister that will be joining us and I'd love for him to play a role in our wedding. I'm sure i'll have tons more questions but so happy to "meet" you ladies!

@@pddcmc That is sooooo cute! I love it. How are you planning on getting the letters to the guests when they arrive? Will the front desk be handing it out? That's the part I'm just figuring out. if I should mail things to someone's home or not. Or wait until they get there to spread the word. Love it!

Wow, so glad I'm not alone here! Thanks Ladies! Good idea about the email or separate mailer. We're having a large invite list (knowing a lot won't come) so I suppose once we start getting RSVP's I can either send a mailer or an email. I didn't capture a lot of email addresses, and since we have all the mailing addresses maybe i'll whip up something simple like a postcard. Hi All! We are planning our destination wedding to Mexico! We are requesting guests come Wed-Sun (and earlier or later if they want), for our Friday wedding. The Wednesday when majority of everyone will be there, we are organizing a Welcome Dinner at the resort. Any advice on the best way to spread the word on this? Since we'll be handing out welcome bags AT that dinner... I can't really sneak it in there. Once details are in order I'll put it on the website... but any other thoughts? Did you all send emails/other invites? Etc. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
