@@lynne1609 Welcome! I think you made a smart move doing that. We contimplated going for the lowest package but then after adding in all the extras it definitely was worth it to upgrade. I think you'll agree. There is an a la carte menu as well that has options if you only are going to add on a few extras but if you already did the math - i think you made the right decision! Are you doing dinner all together after? @@JenniferH114 Genius idea about the duffel bag I didn't even think of that. I think I'll do what you did and make some of my family carry a few things down. I don't think I'll have tons, just Welcome Bag stuff and whatever I decide to use for centerpieces. Candles are easy to stuff in shoes and bags haha and thank you for the idea of the Mini pinatas they are so cute.

@@JenniferH114 - Absolutely breathtaking. Such great shots!!! And you both look so happy. I love the set up for the welcome dinner. Is that the restaurant area off where the buffet is (I've been there but its been a few years). I like that space too! Where did you find the cute mini piñatas? Also, was it difficult to fly down there with your décor? I'm already worrying about that...

@@JenniferH114 I love those pictures. The glass vases, did you bring those down? I was thinking of maybe doing flowers on some tables and floating candles on another - depending what I'm allowed to do. We are not having a bridal party so I'm trying to rework the flowers we get with the package! haha

I think that's such a unique idea. @@kathryn78 that's so awesome you're going down before. You ladies will have so much fun and I bet it'll set your mind at ease. Let me know what you find out about the multiple centerpieces. I'm sure they will do their best to accommodate. Are you using the in-house photographer? They should be there if you want to meet with them. Our weddings are so close you're right it's totally gonna fly. I think once the holidays come we'll really feel it. I'm with you. Invites BEFORE the holidays!! I'm going to start gathering things for the welcome bags early thought... things that I don't mind if I have extra of. Those that will matter - like the bags itself i'll hold off until more people book. We are currently at 34, I'm figuring the extras I can just throw in double up in peoples bags they'd probably appreciate that. I just don't want to wait until the last minute to buy things. Gotta spread it out!

@@Sabes44 That's a great idea to make your own labels. Was that a pain to put on? I'd be interested in doing that I just am not sure what to put! haha Thanks for the tip about that website i'll definitely look there.

@@JaimeCKL That's such a good idea to do things little by little. I'm that way too. Let me know if you find any good deals. Where's the best place to get like meds/tylenol etc. Amazon? I should prob start collecting now. SO exciting when people book. It makes it feel very real. We can book flights the end of Oct through Southwest i'm like counting down to that so it feels more real haha Something else you can do early, is book your Spa appointment for your hair/makeup. I mean you have plenty of time to do that too but that was one thing that felt good to cross off the list!

@@JaimeCKL You're right! I'm glad i'm not alone. haha We are almost at the seven month mark i can't believe it's coming so fast. I feel the same way I feel i'm like what more can i do ahead of time. Right now i'm focusing on welcome bags (so it doesn't all hit me at once) and invites. We are trying to get them out before the holidays. That might be a tad early but i don't want to wait until AFTER the holidays. I've been emailing with Maribel. She really seems on top of it. Thankfully I wasn't fully planned yet with Jessica, so I didn't feel like i had to 'start over' with someone. I'm sure they know what they're doing so I'm not worrying about it!! Biggest concern right now is RSVP cards, i need to narrow down an entree and put something i guess about food allergies? Maribel sent me a vegetarian option i can add on too. Decisions.. decisions. How are things on your end!!

@Giovivs88 I can't find it! Maraca ladies - what did you get on the little tags? Did you get them customized by them, or did you have ones made yourself? I'm trying to think of what to put on them.

@@Giocivs88 - Yeah I was emailing with her too a couple weeks ago and then it went radio silent. When I checked in again was when Maribel told me. I'm trying not to worry about it too much. I had just herad such good things. but Maribel was sweet and assured me she had worked for the company for 3 years so I was in excellent hands. I'm so early in the planning process so I suppose better now than later!

@@Sabes44 - well I'm glad it did not affect your time there!! I feel so bad for them I know how hard they must work to keep it as clean as possible. Hope it gets resolved soon. Hi ladies! How was the seaweed when you were there? I just had a friend return from her honeymoon and she said how AWFUL it was. The beach smelled, and no one would go in the water, and it looked murky Sounds like it's getting worse. Also I am late to this party but saw they recently added a new coffee bar and the tapas restaurant (new since I was there three years ag0) - where are these? This is me just being nosey.

Yeah That's what the new girl emailed me to say. That she was no longer worked for the company. Her name is Maribel. She said she's been going through all of Jessica's weddings and has all the information. Trying not to worry about it. I'm still months away so it could be worse, I could be leaving tomorrow! And I haven't really dug deep into the nitty gritty with Jessica yet. And I know they know what they're doing down there!

How did you ladies deal with any food allergies for your reception food and your guest? I know a bunch of my friends are dairy free and some veg/gf. Did you have something separate or just pick accordingly. (Looking at the food choices)

@@HNeal Do you have pictures of your papel picado up close? I love that you did white. It looks so pretty. I'm still so torn on what to do for décor/centerpieces but I know i'll think of something in time. Just something simple. Great idea about the cleaning. I would have forgotten. Did you do your appointments with the spa ahead of time through the website? I filled out the form (for hair) about a week ago but didn't hear back. So I emailed Jessica today. I know what you mean, I wouldn't want to be alone either! I don't want to feel rushed but I didn't want to be sitting around bored if I should have something planed or at least a destination. @@HNeal Ok good to know!! I saw some ideas to do a little case for the keycard/dollar bills that was waterproof. So I was toying with that idea for the welcome bag. I'm sorry you had to keep getting your key fixed! Maybe that will help if my guests had them in something like that. I reached out to Maracas Mexico after your suggestion they are great to deal with. I think I really want to get some of the papel picado. Did you find it worth it to get it customized? I'm not sure if I just want something simple or our names/something personal if it's up that high. Also, do you remember how long yours was? She said most brides get 40 meters? I have already been looking for lantern like things from craft stores - I think the fee to set up seems reasonable especially if I can save money on shipping/customs. Another question for you brides. What did you do the day OF the wedding? My wedding is at 5pm. Obviously i'll have a hair appointment at some point but did you spend time with your girlfriends/mom? Stay clear of the pool/beach? I don't want to waste the day of course but I was thinking of that since the resort isn't HUGE..

Woohoo! I know @@kathryn78 I can't believe it! So excited for your May wedding. I just got my dress last week so things are definitely more "real" - Also, I don't know how many maracas you were thinking but I quoted with Mexico Maracas (or .. Maracas Mexico ha), for 50 of them and it was about 275 and that included shipping. I wasn't getting custom design though just custom words on one side and the multi colors. So I have a random one from you ERC brides. Do you recall if the keys are key cards or actual keys? (Working on ideas for my welcome bag) and can't remember what I had the last time I was there!

Hi Kathryn! Have you talked to Jessica about renting vases? There are a BUNCH of things that she will rent out to you like small voltives etc. Then you could probably get away with packing and bringing down the candles since those you won't have to worry about breaking. Or bring down just a few glass containers and rent the rest. I feel like less is more when you're down there. The background is so gorgeous. Where are you having your reception?

When did you ladies make your spa/hair/makeup appointments like how far in advance? Did you do it through the website?
