  1. Awesome, thank you!

I also had planned to take advantage of the Halloween candy for snacks for the cups, etc.  My cups are basically at capacity now for the adults but 1-2 Halloween treats would squish right in! lol!

I had another idea for the ladies - a few bobby pins, safety pins and a very small nail file (saw a pack of 32 at Dollarama for $1 or something)

I didn't even consider the bobby pins and nail file, that is a really good idea!

  2. FOr my luggage tags I used the graphic from our invitation to tie it together. Now I can't decide if I want to use the plastic loop or ribbon to attach. They look so pretty with the ribbon.

Are you using the luggage tags  as actual luggage tags, or as just a label for the bags?

If you are using them as actual luggage tags, do you have some sort of a plastic casing? I'm just wondering where you got them, I've been searching for deals

@@calgarybride2015 Do you have a lot of weekly activities scheduled? I haven't started digging into that yet, but I would love to have options for our guests to do things as a group

  3. Have any of you considered doing your Bachelor and Bachelorette parties at the resort?  My fiance and I moved to a different part of the country in the last year, so we are 12 hours away from our friends and family.  It's getting hard to find a weekend everyone is free and to justify the cost of flying back.  I am toying with the idea of doing a "guys night" and "girls night" on Wednesday at the resort (that is when the last guests arrive).  Our wedding is on Friday, so I thought this would be a good time to maybe divvy up the bars/restaurants and say the guys are going to these four and the girls to these four, or even leaving the AI resort and heading in to Cancun.  Have any of you thought something like this through that you can help shed some light for me?  Or do any of you see any major flaws with this plan.

    Thanks in advance!!

  4. I went all over the place with favors, I could not decide.

We finally ended up choosing maracas.  Each person will get one at the reception and it will have this say (or a variation of it - can't remember it word for word right now) 'Instead of tapping on your glass, here is a system with Mexican class. Stand up and shake with all your might to see the groom kiss his bride tonight'   Makes it fun too!!

I am also sending luggage tags out pre travel.

I love the OOT bag idea but it is not in our budget.

For my bridesmaids I did a few things...

    1. make up bag in my wedding color

    2. an anklet with an infinity charm and some beads in my wedding color

    3. bangels

    4. flip flops with removable flower

    5. picture frame with a picture of us together in it

    6. kleenex, nail file, chapstick, etc.

    7. I also helped pay for some of their dresses

Most of the above they will wear at the wedding :)

I spent alot of time looking at wedding favor websites, pinterest, and Etsy.

I love the idea of the maracas for kissing!  I am going to steal this!  Where did you get your maracas from?

    What are oot?

That is a great idea for the bags, I am going to start searching!

@@MissJen3. Totally agree about the sunscreen!!! And I posted to bring lots on our wedding website and will again with my pre travel letter :) there is a website I found with all those sample packs and travel sizes decently priced.

I never thought of a pre travel letter, I love this idea!  I am definitely doing it.  What all are you planning to include?

  5. I am trying to stay on a budget, but I keep getting excited with ideas! We ordered bags from Oriental Trading Co. that people can use as beach bags if they want (they are reusable grocery bag material...so people will find a use for them at home if not on the trip). So far I have bought insulated tumblers from dollar tree, stretchy wrist band with the ID tag to hold room key or tip money, hand sanitizers from Bath and Body Works (they had a big sale), decks of cards from Dollarama, earplugs (that I got for free at work) I find the rooms can be noisy in the early morning/late night.  I am just looking to make a hang over kit now, and maybe do the waterproof stickers to slap on the cups to make them more personal for the week.  I will include a welcome letter and itinerary also that I am ordering from Vistaprint. I also bought the Asian paper fans, but we will be putting those on the chairs for the ceremony.  Now just trying to figure out how to get all this stuff down there without going way over our luggage capacity....

Where are you getting your waterproof stickers from?

  6. Yes they are flat, but 45 will add up! I bet they take the good majority of your suitcase.  45 tank tops would hehe!

I have seen those and considered them as they would be a super cheap DIY but I honestly don't like the idea of the program!  Everyone will have met by the time of the wedding and such, so I don't see why we would write their names on a card to remind everyone.  Just not my style, I find that more formal where I am somewhat informal!

I had the same thought with the "everyone will know each other"  so I decided to do something simple on one side like:  Music starts

    We get married

    Everyone parties

and then on the other side we are going to do a little thank you note to everyone for coming.  I have seen on pinterest some really cute ones with different fonts.  Just an idea to save on cost and space

what made you buy maracas now instead of in Mexico? I am trying to decide, because I would reallly like to cut down on stuff!

What are you ladies using the maracas for?  During the ceremony, or just including in the OOT bag?
