  1. Thank you! That is what I needed to know. You have just helped me narrow down my choices!!
  2. for those of you that purchased dollar tree tumblers, are they good quality? or are they cheap looking? I love the price, but I don't want to go cheap and have it show.
  3. That would be awesome! Thank you I am going on a roadtrip with my fiance this weekend, so I will bombard him with all these wedding decisions. The only way I can get him to focus and talk wedding details is trapped in a vehicle for 5 hrs
  4. I didn't even consider the bobby pins and nail file, that is a really good idea!
  5. I'm debating between tumblers/mugs or coozies.... I'm not sure which will get more use. Do a lot of AI resorts use cans?
  6. @@Mrsktobe I have already "pinned" the etsy seller so I remember to go through them for the stickers. Have you gotten your sitckers yet? Are they pretty durable?
  7. This is an awesome post, I am definitely following it! For those of you that have used the Dollar Store Tumblers, are they decent quality?
  8. @@Mrsktobe That's a great idea getting bigger ones for the guys. I was looking at discount mugs, as I've seen a lot of people on here have used them. I'm sure a non "printed" one like a bubba would get more use.
  9. @@VegasBride121314 I might have to go that plastic route... I was going to do this: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/246361042090941376/ and sew them all...but 45 would take me some time, and I only have 2 months to go. Thanks for the link!
  10. @@calgarybride2015 I was thinking of doing fans on my own, printing a thank you and then a short program on one side. To really keep costs down, I thought about going to Lowes or Home Depot and picking up some free paint stirrer sticks, and just spray painting them, then gluing the heavy cardstock I print on to both sides.
  11. Are you using the luggage tags as actual luggage tags, or as just a label for the bags? If you are using them as actual luggage tags, do you have some sort of a plastic casing? I'm just wondering where you got them, I've been searching for deals @@calgarybride2015 Do you have a lot of weekly activities scheduled? I haven't started digging into that yet, but I would love to have options for our guests to do things as a group
  12. @@Mrsktobe I am in the States, so shipping wouldn't be a huge deal. I love Bubba cups, but I'm not sure I want to spend that much (having to buy 45), in addition to everything else. My fear with the Dollar Store tumblers is that you get what you pay for, so I don't want to get them down to Cancun and have them all cracked. I'm so indecisive.
  13. I like that idea, I might have to do that! Love getting new ideas (my bank account, however, does not)
  14. How did you go about finding a catamaran company? I would love to do this but don't even know where to start in the search for a reputable, good company (Cancun).
  15. I wanted to do a sand ceremony, but with sand from the beach (not craft sand). I'm glad other brides haven't had issues bringing sand home!
  16. I am agreement with most the ladies on here, the day you choose to celebrate is the day that is important. I see no harm in having a legal ceremony before or after, if it works best for you and your future husband.
  17. Have any of you considered doing your Bachelor and Bachelorette parties at the resort? My fiance and I moved to a different part of the country in the last year, so we are 12 hours away from our friends and family. It's getting hard to find a weekend everyone is free and to justify the cost of flying back. I am toying with the idea of doing a "guys night" and "girls night" on Wednesday at the resort (that is when the last guests arrive). Our wedding is on Friday, so I thought this would be a good time to maybe divvy up the bars/restaurants and say the guys are going to these four and the girls to these four, or even leaving the AI resort and heading in to Cancun. Have any of you thought something like this through that you can help shed some light for me? Or do any of you see any major flaws with this plan. Thanks in advance!!
  18. I love the idea of the maracas for kissing! I am going to steal this! Where did you get your maracas from? Out Of Town Bags @@MissJen3 That is a great idea for the bags, I am going to start searching! I never thought of a pre travel letter, I love this idea! I am definitely doing it. What all are you planning to include?
  19. I'm new to the site...at the risk of sounding dumb....What is the key/tip holder exactly?
  20. We have 45 people attending (which includes us). I would rather do the same for everyone. Whichever I go with, people can add a straw to a mug or take off the lid to the tumbler. I just don't know which would be more useful!
  21. I had the same thought with the "everyone will know each other" so I decided to do something simple on one side like: Music starts We get married Everyone parties and then on the other side we are going to do a little thank you note to everyone for coming. I have seen on pinterest some really cute ones with different fonts. Just an idea to save on cost and space http://www.pinterest.com/pin/246361042090254794/ What are you ladies using the maracas for? During the ceremony, or just including in the OOT bag?
  22. We are not doing a registry. We have already gotten a few cards from people that cannot make it to the wedding, with gift cards (which was unnecessary). We figured with people spending so much to celebrate with us, that was gift enough.
