I like the look of them on those staffs in the sand decorating the aisle for the ceremony. I wanted to buy a few from afloral or another site, but not sure how big they are or if they would look good or would be hard to transport. Any comments?

Anyone doing this option? What do you think? is it easy to convert/is the fabric OK? I saw some on etsy, anyone with a good seller to recommend I am obviously thinking about doing this, I hope it will help as I have curvier bridesmaids

With all these cool DIY things to print out, I would like to do some on my own - we don't have a printer but were looking to buy one. Preferably the cheaper we can get with decent quality- any recs that have worked well for you? Do you tend to end up blowing through a lot of ink doing it yourself? did you find it easier to go to kinkos?is it hard to print things like labels and iron on transfers? thanks!

ah good idea. I see your point, i thought about it for awhile, but since our rooms are through timeshares I have it pretty planned out where people are going and the singles are all going to stay with their groups of friends, making it cheaper on everyone. We don't have too many anyways, and most will be with other singles in their group of friends- if not they will still be with their friends, that is if they decide to come- if they feel strongly about things since these are all closer friends, I hope they would just ask me. I just don't want to pay the couple hundred dollars (wedding plus extras we are paying for) for someone I have never met before.

So I think I am going to do website only RSVPs....how do you word it to prevent guests from adding uninvited people, I heard that this happens a lot. I will write everyone's names on the invites, but I have some families that are invited all the way to some singles who I am not giving a guest invite to (if they truly are single). I don't want people to write random people's names down,

There is always another time when I can travel with friends and family @@carmor2 I am sorry to hear about your MIL. I am glad that she was deciding to go in the end though, that must mean a lot.

ah i like that! my idea so far was that I bought a coffee table book which is paperback though with all photos of Puerto Vallarta. The only one I could find on Amazon was used so the cover was a bit beat up, so I was thinking of going to Papersource and buying some nice paper with a sea or mexican theme to cover the book, and then have guests sign the pages and write a note

ahhhh that is so fascinating about the different charter planes. It would be nice to book in advance. I just have to wait until the commercial flight prices are more normalized- its too far out for me now. I live in the Midwest, which is good sometimes- it is about 3-4 hours nonstop to cancun or puerto vallarta, but if you live on either coast you have advantages to different places.

I'm curious at all the Canadians on this site. Is this just my imagination? Or do you feel that Canadians tend to have more destination weddings? You guys also seem to get some great deals! (except on shipping from places in the US I feel like it's becoming more popular in the US but still more rare, at least with people I have heard about, to have a destination wedding.
