  1. I just went in today to the store I got mine to look for bridesmaid dresses and I got a rough quote. It will be $300-350 for replacing the zipper closing for a corset, the hem, taking it out at the hips and the bustle. I thought it would be more for all that. It feels like I have to remake the dress when I list all the things that need to be done! Haha

That sounds like a great price. I hope mine comes in close to that since I also want to do everything you are doing. I love my dress but I'm worried about bloating in Mexico so I think a tie up may be the best choice.

Don't sweat the small details. In the whole grand scheme of things they don't matter. I wish I had never stressed about frames, vases and signs for the bar, etc. No one (including myself) noticed they were there. The beauty of your location is all you need :)

Oh really? That makes me feel better because I really don't have anything like that planned and I was starting to wonder if I should. But if you and your guest didn't notice them then my guest won't either :)

  3. I think if you want to do it go for it! If we were doing a dance type AHR we would defiantly be doing it all again. I think your guest will love that cause they will feel as if they are part of some of the bigger events that took place at the wedding. Remember for them it's like your reception :) We decided on a open house type thing so people will come and go as they wish so those won't work during ours :(.

  4. I am also flying my hairstylist down, but I have a totally different scenario then you. ( She is my FI' best man's girlfriend, and he refused to go without her but they didn't have money afford both of them. Since my FI's family is not attending I could not, not let his best friend come because of money. So I decided to book her for our photographer since she loves taking pictures. So her trip will cover my photographs and what we would have tipped anyone we would have hired in Mexico) After we put down her deposit he contacted me and offered to do my hair and makeup as well as my wedding parties for free.

So long story short in your situation I would not tip because her flight that you are paying would cover what I would consider a tip for doing the hair she is doing.

However I will be tipping because we consider her our photographer ( which is paid for as the trip) and our hair/makeup stylist as well. I think this is a good way to look at it?

Sorry I'm not sure if that will make sense to anyone.

  5. Everything will be perfect Kim :) you have put so much energy and time into your wedding that now it's time to sit back and relax.

Don't worry about your single friend she will be fine, you have a big group of people so she will find someone to buddy up with and have a great time.

The passport situation is crappy but out of your control.

As for the crazy dreams, I think all us future brides have been having them, I think it's part of the progress. The other night i woke up and had to run to check on my dress. In my dream my father stepped on it and the whole bottom fell off, under the beaded part. So I got married in part of a dress and my white undies. I was mortified!
