CurlyKristen, Don't get frustrated. As we have said many times on this blog, you have to remember they only have 3 people working on all these weddings and it looks like yours isn't until next year. I understand how you want to plan everything now and get it done. But realize they will help you and get everything done. I would say enjoy getting the stuff done up here as much as you can and ask us brides on here to fill in the blanks when they aren't able to. My wedding is a little over 3 months away and I just got in contact with them more recently as my day is approach. I have gotten all my questions answers since we booked last July. Know you will get your answers, but you might have to be patient. Enjoy the ride, you choose a destination to make it relaxing and let it do it. Hope this helps and relaxes your nerves. Its an exciting time!!

Dina, Where did you get your tumblers? We were worried people might not use them, but our wedding is in June so I'm thinking it might be a nice idea for thank you. Otherwise are the cups for drinks better than dixie size? Vanessa, I don't have the table sizes are chairs. I'm trying to go off photos from other people myself for my runners I'm planning to bring down. Also I'm trying to do the seating chart and wondering if I can only put like 6 people at one table and 9 at another? Anyone have problems with different numbers at tables?

Ladies, I'm finally back. I haven't been able to access my account since they changed it. I'm getting married in less than four months!! June 19th. I was starting to fill out my forms to send down as I want to get things together. Vanessa, do you happen to do know the size of the round tables down there? Or anyone for the fact. I was trying to do my seating chart with my guest list is pretty final, but some tables I only have 6 people at and want to make sure that would be okay. Also has anyone else moved their cocktail hour to the night before for the welcome dinner? I wrote asking them, but having heard back. So I'm hearing rehearsals aren't necessary. Is that the case? I'm so excited I cannot believe we are getting so close. Any other June brides here? Also is anyone who had their wedding down there give their guest plastic tumblers? If so how did they work and did your guests use them? We are thinking about it but want to know if it will be worth bringing them in our suit cases. Thanks Megan

Vanessa - I'm getting married June 20!!! It will be here soon! Jen, Thanks for the update. I'm not sure if we want to do a beach dinner. We were thinking about having it one of the restaurants and I think we have to choose a set menu for that as well. Did you just tell Anel and Ramon you were interested before heading down to finalize that separate gathering? We were thinking of a ipod, but thought maybe a laptop as another options. Also how was your seating chart? I have an idea, but never know where to put us. heeheee Thanks ladies!

Jen, Your wedding sounded perfect! How wonderful, I can't wait to take a look at pictures too. It makes me so excited. We are getting married in June and we have 43 people coming now so very similar. I am thinking about having a welcome dinner, but in a restaurant. How was the beach dinner and the cost? Did you have to pick one meal? You said you used the speakers they provided and used your ipod. Do you happen to remember what it was? I might be bringing a laptop down and want to know what I"m working with. Glad everything was great. Thanks,Megan

Ah so excited! Congrats!! Enjoy every moment. We leave for ours in 7 months and tomorrow, ironic! I would be interested in the whole mini planning meeting and how that exactly goes. Also are you using the sound system down there? We want to know what it is and could we bring a laptop if needed. Have a great time!!

She did attend though which may be a policy they have. I know its frustrating but we actually only had email contact with them once before we arrived. At the meeting 2 days prior to the wedding we went over the entire planning sheet and they were very accommodating for changes and things we had not filled out that we were questioning. Then a day before the wedding we had to move the time due to a flight delay and they were accommodating to that too. The resort is beautiful, our group of 48 had a great time and complimented us on our choice. I had some small issues that I'll address in my review and I think I have another phone number and email you can use to reach them, let me find those and get them back to you tomorrow. Congrats, the pictures so far look great. Where were you going to do you review? I would love to read and get some more updates. Our wedding isn't until June, so I'm ready to do things, but I need to just enjoy the quiet time right now.

Once you have it folded what is the length (height) of it? Sorry Delta has strict guidelines. And I'm not letting my dress out of my sight, lol. -

I'm not sure how I'm getting my tulle dress down to Mexico. Did you check it or bring it on? I have a regular garment bag how long is this one? How big and what is the length of this one? I"m only 5'2 so dress won't be long, but would be wonderful to not have to steam. Thanks, Megan -
Hey Ladies, So we have gotten to the time where our guests confirmed to travel for our June 2014 wedding. We have 37 coming right now, crazy we thought only 25 would come. So I'm curious is everyone is doing a welcome dinner for that many people and how much it would cost? I don't want to break the bank, but I think it would be nice to gather everyone that has come so far for us. Also for dinner menus are people just going to pick one meal and serve everyone that or give your guest an option of two ahead of time. Anel said we could do two meals we just have to be very clear who gets what. What are people doing? Lastly I learned that night club is for 18+ and I have a niece and nephew that are under age. When the reception stops where did people head??? I heard the lobby bar, but want to make sure they will have a place to go?? Glad to here Anel is almost back.. she was much missed!!

However, I don't see many reviews online about him and this worries me because pictures are so important to me! ANyone who has done or will do TTD session...I'm thinking of buying a really cheap dress to wear for underwater pictures because 1, I'm scared I will drown in my huge princess dress and 2. My dress was expensive and I don't want to rruin it. What are you guys doing? Brittany ":) We are actually doing a TTD shoot with the resort photographer. We hired an outside vendor for the actual wedding and sense we didn't want to lose that 1 hour photo session and I think heck we are getting married at the beach we have to go in the water!! I found an actual wedding dress for $50, I think I'm going to wear it for our civil ceremony back home and then the day after we plan to get up early and do a TTD in the water around the resort. I was with you I didn't want to ruin "the dress" in the water. Hope that helps!

Before we decided I had some questions and Anel was great about getting back to me relatively quickly (1 or 2 days). I sent in the credit card authorization form to book the wedding date along with the necessary documents (ID and credit card). It has been over 2 weeks and have not received anything from her. Four days ago I sent another email asking if she received the documents, if everything was filled out correctly, if the date was booked for us, or if we needed to do anything else. I still have not heard back from her on anything. I am starting to freak out because I want to get the wedding date booked so I can move on and start working on other things. I know she is VERY busy with weddings all the time, I just don't know if this is typical. I don't want to be a pain but friends and family are asking and I don't know what to tell them! Any advice/insight is helpful! Thank you! Megan Hi Megan, I would say stay patient. Even though Anel responded with about 10 days to mine I have heard other people have waited a bit longer. I would hold out until about 3 weeks and then maybe try to call her if you have that ability. Know she is on top of things, but sometimes I think she gets more busy then not. Are you using a travel agent, if so you could always work with them to try and contact her as well. It's a very exciting and nerve raking time. Hang in there you have lots of time to get things rolling. Good Luck! Megan

Hi Ladies,  I am not going with the resort photographer mainly because they are very expensive and the package that comes with only includes 1 hour of photos and 40 images. Another bride on here suggested .amorcitocorazonstudio.com they are a husband and wife duo. They were the most reasonably priced as we are on a tight budget. We are going to use the resort photographer for our "trash the dress"  As for the disco, does anyone know if there is an age limit? I have a niece and nephew coming down and after the reception we would like to go there, but they will only be 16 and 14.  Thanks for info on welcome dinner. We are still debating that might be the last minute idea. But $25/pp doesn't sound bad in order to have everyone together unless people think going to a restaurant with a group for 30 isn't bad? Any tips?  Thanks ladies, Megan

Hi Ladies, Thanks for all the tips and details. I love this website because as we all know Anel is a very busy lady. I do have a question for past and current brides if anyone did a welcome dinner? I was first thinking of just meeting at the Lobby bar after rehearsal and having people go wherever for dinner, but I'm no thinking dinner together might be nice. I think I really would be okay with just blocking off a section in the buffet even, but I think we would enjoy having everyone together before the big night. Have a wonderful week ladies!

For past brides or ones that are close, I am thinking of bringing a polariod camera to use as my guest book. In addition to the cake table do we get another escort card table or guest book signing? Thanks Tara and Mollyes for information on photographer. Guest day passes are $75 per person right? Thanks ladies! I'm down to 10 months, whoo hoo!!

Hi ladies, So I go new that my good friend and photographer isn't coming to our wedding. I'm so bummed on two different levels. But now I need to start figuring out photography. Anyone who used the resort photographer - what package did you get, how many photographers and price of that all? Mollyes, How long were you able to have your off side photographer and what is the fee to bring in a vendor? Any suggestions, thanks! Megan

Hey Ladies, I'm getting married June 19, 2014!! We are going to use our bridesmaid bouquets for our centerpieces and I'm going to have my MIL make some runners with my teal color to add some fun. We want to keep it simply and use the beach as part of our decorations. For the ladies that already go married, how long should one plan for hair and makeup? Just curious as I have some girls getting hair done as well and want to give all of us enough time. Also does anyone know how old people need to be to enter to disco or other bars? I have a niece and nephew who will be 13 and 16 and we are not extending our reception, but I want to make sure they can come with us to continue the celebration. To follow up ladies I asked Anel about having two dinner choices and this is Anel emailed me this: YOU NEED TO SELECT ONE MENU; ONE SALAD, ONE SOUP, ONE MAIN COURSE AND ONE DESSERT. WE CAN GIVE YOU THE OPTION PICK 2 MAIN COURSES, BUT YOU NEED TO GIVE ME THE FINAL COUNT IN ADVANCE, HOW MANY PEOPLE IS GOIG TO EAT OPTION ONE AND OPTION 2? YOU ALSO NEED TO BRING COLORED PLACE CARDS, IN ORDER TO IDENTIFY THE GUEST WHO ARE GOING TO EAT OPTION ONE AND OPTION 2. PLEASE SEE AN EXAMPLE BELOW. Have a great day ladies!

CAmomofbride, So I know we have had this discussion before, but you can pick not just one entree for the dinner? I guess I didn't understand what people meant. Sounded like you needed to have a seating chart if you have different entrees. Can you have two or three entrees? I might email Anel and see what she says. We have some picky eaters as well. Thanks

Zeman321, My colors are that aqua teal right now and maybe pink accents. I want to have my MOL and aunt sew some table runners that we will bring down. I also found mini buckets for a $1 at Target that I want to fill with sand and put in photos of our trips instead of table numbers. Then I think instead of a photo booth I want to bring a Polaroid camera as my guest book. Besides that mine and my girls bouquets are going to be centerpieces, but that's it. I want the view to be the decorations and I want to keep things simple and elegant. My sister in law's brother stayed there and said it was wonderful too. I would love to go early, but limited budget. The surprise and excitement will be going down.
