    Around the world for a year and then end off with a week in Maldives.

     

    If you win $1,000 from a contest, what would you do with the prize?

    God that does sound like a good honeymoon!

     

    This is so boring of me but if I won $1000 from a contest I would put it on my credit card... Ugh... I know boo-erns

    This is a fun post.....everyone looks so good in their dresses!

     

    Here's mine ...Davids Bridal..discontinued... Only sold in stores in the US and I'm in Canada. I called around until I found a sample one still left in a store...$199... Needs some alterations ...but pretty good find :)

    We decided to have a DW wedding for a few reasons:

     

    1. Money.. It's cheaper and with a vacation to somewhere warm included.. Yay!

     

    2. We live in TO most of our family lives in Newfoundland and our friends are all over... Either way people would have to spend money on hotels, travel and food... This way it's all paid upfront and a whole week vacay for everyone I can spend more time with the people I don't see often

     

    3. Less stuff to worry about...not as much to organize compared to a regular wedding

     

    Congrats on the engagement and happy planning whichever route you choose... This website is a great resource for DW's, everyone is very helpful!

    do you happen to have a contact email of the WC at the resort?  I still have not heard back from them and really want to get in touch regarding questions I have and who to contact for group rates.  i'm doing this all on my own without a TA and it definitely is quite frustrating and a lot of work for sure.  :(

    [email protected]. She does take awhile to get back to you they are very busy this time of the year. Friday is the best day to email her, it seems she gets back to you faster on Fridays. Have you tried the resort website for group sales. Doing it without a TA!? You are braver then me!

    I tried spanx on ONCE.... I don't consider myself a big girl but you know I wanted to smooth out the lumps and bumps for a friends wedding so I thought I'd give it a try...Hated it! After the 15 min fight to get it on I busted out laughing! I wish someone had been there just so I could share the hilariousness of it! I guess I had pick a size that was too small because It had not gotten rid of the lumps and bumps but just moved them to the edges of the spanx! It was too funny! Picture broccoli . But I put on my dress and it looked AWESOME! So it works. Unfortunately 5mins later I was sweating bullets and was so uncomfortable I had to take them off. Needless to say I probably won't wear them under my wedding dress. Lol although I know it would look better if I did.

    Budgeting For Tips... How Much?

    So I'm trying to make an all inclusive budget... I'm having my wedding at an All Inclusive Resort in Punta Cana and I'm trying to figure how much cash I will need to bring for wedding tips and who do I tip? And when?

     

    I know I will tip the WC, DJ, Photographer, and Bartender... But how much? And as for the wait staff do I tip them each individually? Or as a group?

    The 2015 prices aren't out yet but will be by mid April. I can send you the package price that she sent me for 2014... I think they do allow outside vendors but there is a fee of $300 from what I've heard I haven't asked myself yet... Unless for example you are bringing a photographer with you they are considered a guest and not a vendor. This is busy season for them right now so it may take awhile for her to write you back. Just a warning tho if you are looking for a private beach ceremony I heard from past brides that you probably won't get it here. I'm getting married at the gazebo right next to the beach instead.
