Hello fellow brides. Im new on here but would love to join the conversation as I am getting married November 22, 2013 at the Iberostar Maya. I am having a Mayan Ceremony and hiring dancers. We have not all confirmed (I dislike when people cannot RSVP on time) but invited 44 knowing it might be a little over 20. I am looking for Linen pants for the guys and fabulous Pamela told me about a website but i am hoping to find them a bit cheaper. Also looking for a photographer, but we are on a strict budget. I love the weights idea for the veil, im not sure why i never heard of that now i might consider one!! Any responses would be helpful!! Happy Wedding everyone!!

We also are on The knot which helps keep control of guest and information to our guests. We also just found out our travel agent (who is a dear friend of mine) has to go through chemo again as her cancer has come back. Its hard to find out this news and she still wants to plan our wedding but friend and family are getting impatient with no information! I feel caught in the middle.

Hey girl im going through the same thing BUT one important thing you need to ask yourself is what do you and your fiance want to this marriage. Do you want to be married legally there or get married in your country and do a renewal? Also does it matter beach or religious? Also I went on The Knot and you can make up your own website to contact and make a guest list. Start emailing the WC at the resorts to see what they offer. What i also found MY own prefrence was i wanted to be the only bride that day. Some resorts do weddings by the hour. We can help eachother out on this journey!!

Im planning my wedding right now and have had a strict budget but Riviera in Mexico is expensive BUT can be done, but i would say you should adults budgets to 1500. As in my case its 200 more a person but out of 91 invites i have 14 and more hopefully to come. Then you need to know that hotel might charge extra per person for the wedding. Example our Renewal ceremony includes 20 people (including bride and groom) then its 30 per person staying at the resort and 80 or 90 for ones not staying at the resort. I made my mind up thanks to Pamela (who is on here) She is great! We are doing Tiffany Blue and White. Except the men are in the general tan linen. I am looking into barefoot jewels for our feet. Also looking into photographers there in the Maya.
