  1. I was just married January 29th and we used Playaweddings, they were really great and super professional. They did our photos and video, also we did the photobooth for our reception. Feel free to email me if you want any more info and I would be happy to share our photos/video with you, [email protected]
  2. Our wedding at the OGX was perfect! Our wedding coordinator Melanie answered my emails prior to the wedding promptly and made our wedding day even better than we thought it could be. We had our ceremony beside the Mayan ruins right next to the ocean, it was private and beautiful! Our wedding reception was held in the beach club and Melanie set it all up so nicely. We used the resort dj and were very happy with him as well. We just got married on January 29th, so we don't have our professional photos quite yet, but cannot wait to see them! Here are a few pictures from the big day
  3. We are getting married there January 29th So far the wedding coordinator has been fabulous and it's a beautiful resort. I had my first appointment with my seamstress mid November and booked my Edmond appointment for last Wednesday. I showed up for my appointment and she forgot I was coming, and she had yet to start my dress. I'm feeling a little nervous now, and just really hoping its done next time I show up. Eeeeek!
  4. We opted for the private reception at the beach house as it is beautiful! The cost for buffet is $40 pp, or for sit down meal $50 pp extra. Also, we decided to add an extra hour for our reception at $18 pp/ hour. Here is the list of prices for additional items...
  5. I'm having the same concern, our colors are an eggplant purple and grey and my mom bought a blue and black dress. I would like to let her know, but don't want to hurt her feelings either. Not sure what to do, but it would be nice if she would coordinate with colors better.
  6. Well, it's official we are switching to the cliff/ruins location. Lol I'm so glad you posted those photos and thanks so much for your pros/cons list! We are sure we would prefer the more private location...and the view is fabulous.
  7. Briggitte your photos are gorgeous and such a beautiful bride you are! We were planning to have our ceremony at the gazebo near the beach house, but after seeing your photos is leaning more towards the cliff. How was the pricing for the hair and makeup artists you used? Did you get charged the $60 pp for the outside vendor fee for them?
  8. Hi ladies! My fiancé and I are getting married January 29, 2014 at Occidental Grand Xcaret and are beyond excited! This week we ordered tumblers with straws for our guest gift, bought our guest book and I have finally decided on centrepieces. Now we are at the part where we need to get our music, vows, etc. figured out. Also, I'm looking into hiring a hairdresser and makeup artist, has anyone else found someone they would recommend? Happy planning everyone!
  9. Found this at le Chateau and we both love it! My hubby to be looks so GQ
  10. This is very similar to what I'm looking for, where did you buy them?
  11. I planned to make my own garder, but as it turns out buying one was easier lol This one is from Etsy and I am loving it! Also, I like that I have one to keep and one to toss.
  12. I had no interest in wearing a veil, but my mom wanted me to at least try one on... I did and all of a sudden felt like a bride. It really completed the whole look. I'll only wear it for the ceremony and pictures, but I do think it was worth it. Also, the lady at the bridal salon I went to suggested cleaning the house in it after the wedding, and that it would go great with a nice pair of jeans lol
  13. This is our cake topper, found on Etsy. I thinks it's just simple and sweet, I'm just loving it!
