  1. We are also saving for a home so since we got pressured to do a gift registry, we did one at honeyfund.com and added it as an option to our honeymoon registry.  We also did a small registry at Macy's.  I own a home and we just moved in together so we don't need a lot.  We just want to have a nice honeymoon and save for a new home in the next 2 years, cause my home is a bit small for the two of us and a child.  We chose Punta Cana for our wedding to keep everything easy, but we didn't really view that as someplace where we both wanted to honeymoon. That's why we will just do one later and enjoy this trip with our families.

  2. We have also decided to just stay and relax at the hotel with family and friends.  We are only going to stay a few days extra...bout 4 o so then return home and honeymoon later.  My FH's work and school schedule is nuts so it's easier to separate the honeymoon.

  3. They definitely have a great reputation...I haven't heard anything negative yet to be honest so that's a great sign!  I don't care where they live as long as they are available and communicate well with me!

  4. It's been SOOOOOOO long since I've been on this thread that I don't even know where to start...lol.  Hi ladies!   I hope you are all coming along well with your fitness goals!  I still haven't gone looking for my dress.  I plan to in the next 20 days finally.  But i'm working on eating right and light exercise until my dr. releases me to do harder exercises.

  5. I keep telling my fiancé this, but I think his mind is thinking he'll be able to do both.  I know better than that though...lol.  Right now, I just want a nice honeymoon so I have a good memory of life before kids with just us.  So, if it takes us a few years to be able to take a really nice trip I won't be too sad...

  6. I've been debating about this too, but I think it will be an easier decision once I have my dress.  I've seen lovely hair decorative jewelry, and flowers in addition to veil's so i'm not sure what to do.  Maybe i'll do a shorter veil or birdcage with a flower for the ceremony, and jewelry for the reception and ttd.  Decisions decisions!! Just another one of many to make...LOL

I purchased beach pocket folders (from www.booksox.com), and inside I included:

    -Welcome/Thank You letter

    -Pre-Travel Brochure (created on VistaPrint)

-Excursion Detail Flyer (something we will be doing, our guests can join us if they would like)

-Map of the Resort (Iberostar Rose Hall Beach in Jamaica)

-Packing Checklist (from www.travelsmith.com in their Travel Center area, 1 per person)

-Jamaica Tourism Book (our travel agent got these for us)

-Jamaica Desk Calendar (something we received with the Tourism Book, so I decided to include it)

    -Luggage Tags (2 per person)

    -Key Card/Tip Holder

This is AWESOME.  I love this idea.  If I had a smaller group, I would do this and mail to the travelers, but we're just going to greet people and hand them their welcome packages to make life simpler.  I'm definitely like the luggage tag and key holder idea.
