Keep in mind my wedding is t until October 2014 lol
Any thoughts?
i booked her as well. she responded me within a day or two, and was really nice. i wonder if she is busy, i noticed with other vendors they may take a lil longer to reply (especially since we are so used to a quick response here in the US). but you are really far out as well. Mine is in december 2013. and if you paid i would def send another email asking for an invoice or even an email confirmation to say she received payment (that's what i asked for and she sent it to me). you def need that.

who are you going thru? i'm going thru Wright Travel Agency (the ones affliated with this site) and Babs is AMAZING!!!!! if anyone needs a suggestion on one. she has helped out in every way that i need her to and i've actually had conversations with her on the phone about wedding stuff like she's been my homegirl for years! lol hilarious.

Feel free to PM me if you'd like her details -she's based in Mo' Bay and seems to have good working relationships with the right vendors etc!
Good luck and Congrats!
aw thanks a bunch but i found and booked a coordinator thru Jans Flowers about a week after i posted on here. but glad you suggested someone incase any other jamaica brides need a coordinator. btw congrats on your wedding! what was your favorite part regarding decor? i'm deciding all that now, especially the centerpieces.

ok glad you agree lol i was just thinking on my personal opinion if i got a bag with someone elses name on it lol i def wouldn't carry it everywhere lol publisher is easy to use and if you plan on doing simple stuff it works great. i wish i knew how to use photoshop lol

Yea I've seen the vistaprint groupings, I actually bought one ;-) most the logos I've seen on here has wording with names on the bags. I'd hate to give bags with my FI and I names on it lol I'm pretty sure no one will reuse the bags if we did lol I just want a cute logo , I'm playing around in publisher to see if I can create somethingI've read posts where girls uploaded a pic/logo and printed them on Vistaprint canvas bags. There are tons of groupons for vistaprint and they are always having sales. -
We thought bout doing Appleton rum, ill check with resort to see if they have details on it, thanksdid you check with secrets if they do it? i would imagine appleton would deliver anywhere on the island. i want to give bottles at as a favor too ... -

We ordered June 5th and received them a couple of weeks ago. They were great to work with and emailed us a couple of times re: measurements that they thought might be off (including my FI shoulder measurements, which I kept the same and should have listened, lol ).
Any questions, just ask!
did you measure and use the exact amount or did you add an inch or two to give some room? we did my FI suit from a different site and clearly we measured his pants wrong lol we were going for the "fitted" look and it turned out way too tight. it was hilarious! we will reorder another one this week.

FYI vistaprint currently has $17 for $70 worth of purchase. Def a great deal!!! http://www.groupon.com/deals/vista-print-42-houston

my FI and i ordered a suit from a different site, i guess we did a bad job of measuring because the crotch area was extremely wayyyyy tooooo tight! lol any tips of measuring? did you measure and add an inch to everything?

thanks, we aren't at ROR but i'll check with our resort. if they don't offer that, i wonder if packing it from US will get us taxed at the airport in jamaica? :-O hopefully not too bad.

I'm hoping to have maybe like 6 girls and knock most of the projects out in one day! LOL, maybe that's ambitious!
What things did you make? My list of intended projects includes:
Invites
Programs
Menus for reception
Some type of fingerprint Guestbook
OOT bags
Wedding branded stuff for bags
Possibly tee shirts
Am I forgetting anything???
**SIGH**
sounds about right! lol i have 10 girls in my wedding so they will be coming over to help, we'll probably start next month, my wedding isnt' until december.
i'm making ceremony fans, reception menu, OOT bags stuff (i purchased custom drawstring backpacks with logo already), sweetheart table decor and his/her chairs decor, gift boxes for my girls jewelry, wine bottles with custom labels and photo on it with each of the girls and myself, napkins (i actually have a seamstress to make these, i bought the material and she'll make them lol), i'm sure i'm forgetting stuff as well. lol it sounds like alot but i don't think it's too much. i'm brining everything with me except the wine bottles, i 'll give that to the girls before we travel.

we are planning on giving mini alcohol bottles as favors but wanted to purchase them in the states and travel down. has anyone else done that? if so, do they tax you at the airport in jamaica for bringing alchohol? we're planning on bringing 100 mini bottles for favors, we may need to split them up between several guests.
-
lol i've made so much stuff and had no intentions on doing that before i got on this site, i'm glad because everything is turning out so pretty!!! time consuming but def worth the effort. it's def easy to get to 150 especially when you're interested in the thread topics Lol

I'm getting married at secrets as well. I'm gEtting my guests bags and wanted to put some logo or saying on there (maybe not our name because I want them to be able to reuse the bags after the trip) . Any suggestions? I've checked out other threads but haven't found anything, wondering if any of you jamaica brides have any ideas.
