We gave our guest six months. Some do less but because its a destination wedding we wanted to give them some time to figure out if they can go.

i agree with you ladies. My fI dad brought that up and i was not happy at all. I gave my guests more then enough time to save and decide if they will be going to our wedding. My reason for a DW is to keep it intimate and thats my plan. Sorry to say but if they cant make it then they cant make it.

I think its great that your having a DW. It brings something different to the table considering all your friends are having "traditional" weddings. Im the first one out of my group of friends to have a DW and they are all excited lol

If i were to have a wedding here (NY) it would put me over 30,000. My fiance has a ton of family, my reason for having a DW was bc of that.

I dont know how this AHR works. BUT i have a feeling this will be another task on my plate that honestly dont want. My FIL would want to invite everyone, whether or not they were able to attend our DW. And the crazy thing is that my reason for having a DW is because i knew not everyone could attend.

My FIL wants us to have one after we come back from the wedding. I told my fiance "not happening". My FIL's reasoning is that not everyone that has been invited to the wedding will be able to attend. Which i understand, but i dont want to spend more money after our DW. Unless they are paying for the AHR, we willl not be having one.

Hi SoonMrsD We have invited just about the same amount of people. We are expecting about 80 to attend including kids. We have not done a property inspection and might not be able to do so before our wedding. My fiances schedule is so hectic at the moment :/ I had 5 resorts that i was interested in, between price quotes, resort lay out, reviews and pictures ME won. Also COMMUNICATION from the very beginning has been wonderful. MY WC is Sandra and she gets back to me asap (which i love). She is on point with everything and even gives me advice on what works and what wouldnt work. We've decided to go with purple and green. I have 4 bridesmaid so im thinking of having 2 in purple and 2 in green (same dress style) . My fiance will be wearing khaki pants, white shirt, khaki vest, purple tie. his groomsmen will wear white shirts and khaki pants. we decided on a symbolic ceremony. and depending how many guest we have the package if free. So that money will go towards something else for the wedding. Centerpieces are my concern at the moment. there packages seem sooo expensive I hope this has been helpful
