  1. How much is a trial for hair and/or make-up does anyone know, is it the same price as on the actual day?
  2. Thanks a mil I guess once I have a photo or an idea that works for me/my face shape/eye shape etc, it will be fine. My main concern is the foundation, as I dont normally wear it, if I do, its the tiniest amount & what I would normally use would be too light as I do tend to tan quite well when on hols.. But I want my skin to look as flawless as possible for the photos but was concerned that I would look caked in make up!
  3. Another question ladies... As it is just the 2 of us heading over to get married in Mexico,we are just going for the 'Your Moments' wedding package. I am just wondering, is the use of a wedding canopy/arch included in this. Is there a charge for flowers/decorations etc for it?
  4. Hey ladies, Have any past brides used the spa in Now Jade for their make-up & if so would you have any close up photos of it please Were you happy with it??. I tend not to wear foundation & if I do, I use very little. I just tend to do make up on my eyes & have my own way of applying. I got my make up done for my brothers wedding, but I didnt like it at all. Do you recommend wearing foundation for wedding photos? I will have to buy new foundation if so, as I will have a tan & it will be hotter in Mexico than back home in Ireland Our wedding is in May 2013, so hoping it will be warm/hot Or do you reckon, the best thing is to get my make-up done in the spa? Thanks in advance, Susannah

  6. Thanks Lindsay. I've checked into it online - looks amazing. Appreciate you getting back to me
  7. Thanks a million! Anyone's opinion/experience is a great help. Very much appreciated
  8. Thank you so much Matt for the information. It looks amazing! I'll check it out ) Much appreciated!!
  9. Hey Lindsay Thank you so much for that information. Very much appreciated. My husband to be has always wanted to swim with dolphins so I would love to organise something for him Have you been there yourself?
  10. WOW, your photos look amazing!! Such a beautiful place, such vibrant colours, it looks like your special day was magical. We have already booked our ceremony in Now Jade on the beach. We just love the idea of getting married on the beach in our bare feet. Mark proposed to me on a beach on holidays this year. The beach will be very different to anything we could have at home here in Ireland. Many congrats to you Hope married life is good
  11. Does anyone know if there is somewhere near Now Jade to swim with Dolphins please?
  12. Yep, I guess you're right Tammy I got it all sorted now anyway, thanks We are now booked for the 'Your Moments Wedding Package', as per quote, rather than Renewal of Vows as per invoice. I was a little concerned as to what was included in the ceremony itself, as in readings, vows, exchange of rings etc... but there were also things included in the wedding package that we would have had to pay additionally for if we had been mistakenly booked for the vow renewal. But its all good. Bring on May 6th 2013 )) ♥
  13. EMailed WC & everything is sorted. Thanks to all who listened/read. I'm happy now
  14. I emailed Pilar directly and she has already gotten back to me to confirm that the renewal of vows has been changed to the 'Your Moments Wedding Package' so we are delighted & relieved now. So its May 6th 2013 in Now Jade. YAY )) Thank you for your help
  15. Hey Michael, Thanks again for your response. Its not that I am getting locked into package titles, its more that I thought we were getting something, which we booked, only for the confirmation invoice to say we are getting something less. I just want our day to be special and a wedding coordinator performing the ceremony, just doesn't feel right. It feels like, as you say, we are not bringing in guests etc, and therefore are not as important. But its supposed to be the most important day in our lives! We have already paid a deposit to the travel agent based on the 'wedding package'. Anyway, as was suggested to me, I have emailed the WC. Take care & keep shooting
  16. Thank you Lincoln, I had already been on to you when I thought our wedding was going to be in April, but our date has changed. Your work is beautiful. As it is only the 2 of us heading over from Ireland, I am looking around to see what packages best suit our requirements. Bye for now, Susie
  17. Thank you ChocoTaco7568 ) Yep, just about to do that. thanks for your help
  18. Thank you PuntaBride I just find it strange that the wedding coordinator performs the ceremony!! I think the fact that they are calling it a Renewal Of Vows also, rather than Symbolic Blessing. It is only my fiance & I going over, so others telling the difference is not the problem. I just dont want to feel I am going to Mexico, to renew my vows, (that I will make the week before in an office) I want to go to Mexico to get married )))
  19. Thank you Mlite83, yes I think I will contact Pilar directly Nope, we dont want to deal with the legalities of a mexican Wedding, so we plan to have a civil wedding here before we go to Mexico & treat that part as the paperwork & our 'wedding' in Mexico, as our wedding To me, it just doesn't seem right having the WC perform the ceremony.. From the NOW Jade website brochure:- W E D D I N G C E R E M O N I E S SYMBOLIC OR NON DENOMINATIONAL This ceremony focuses on love, marriage, family and society. Mexican law does not consider this ceremony legally valid. No documentation or blood tests are required. CIVIL OR LEGAL CEREMONY This ceremony is performed by a judge and focuses on family and respect for the couple. A list of requirements must be met in order to be legally married under Mexican law. Also taken from Now Jade:- Destination Wedding Details Who performs the ceremony at your resort? A local judge or minister will come to the resort to perform your ceremony. What if we want a ceremony that honors a particular religion; can someone of that faith be provided? We can perform Catholic and other Christian ceremonies. The minister or officiate should be contracted directly by the couple. What if we want a ceremony that honors a particular religion; can someone of that faith be provided? We offer Civil Ceremonies (Justice of the Peace) or non-legal ceremonies (Symbolic by a Christian Minister). If you would like to bring your own minister you are more then welcome to do so. On the other hand, what if we want a ceremony that is not religious? Non religious ceremonies are an option at all of our resorts.
  20. Hey Tulumbride2013 Yep, I saw that on the website myself, but appreciate you looking that up for me )) ... I've been looking at the website every other day before we finally made our decision to go for Now Jade I think with me, its the fact that it is called a 'renewal of vows' on our invoice, rather then a 'Symbolic Ceremony'.... And the fact that the TA in the UK has said we cant have a wedding package as we will be already married. All along, the TA in Ireland has been saying we can have the non-denominational/symbolic wedding ceremony, after we have our civil wedding at home, to save on expenses, translations etc... This is also from the Now Jade website brochure. W E D D I N G C E R E M O N I E S SYMBOLIC OR NON DENOMINATIONAL This ceremony focuses on love, marriage, family and society. Mexican law does not consider this ceremony legally valid. No documentation or blood tests are required. CIVIL OR LEGAL CEREMONY This ceremony is performed by a judge and focuses on family and respect for the couple. A list of requirements must be met in order to be legally married under Mexican law. It is only going to be myself & fiance going over, so we just wanted what we thought we were going to get:- Your Moments Wedding Package $949 or Complimentary (minimum 7 night stay or 5 rooms booked for a minimum 3 night required) Services of a judge or minister Choice of wedding ceremony location Bouquet for the bride Boutonniere for the groom Dedicated wedding coordinator Preparation of the bride’s gown and groom’s tuxedo/suit Wedding cake Sparkling wine toast Romantic turndown services that evening: rose petal drawn Jacuzzi bath, bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries Late check-out for the bride and groom (upon request) 20% off spa treatments I know its not a huge difference, but still... Soul Mates Vow Renewal Package 2012/2013 Selling Price: $499 USD This romantic package includes: Service of a dedicated on-site wedding coordinator Renewal of Vows Ceremony Corsage Boutonniere Sparkling wine toast for two Certificate of Renewed Vows Special dining arrangements for two the evening of the ceremony Romantic turn-down service Honeymoon & Anniversary package This package is complimentary when booking the Preferred Club Ocean View or higher for a minimum 5-night stay. I don't get a bouquet, we have to pay additional charges for getting our wedding clothes prepared & the wedding co-ordinator performs the ceremony... Is that who they consider a non-denominational minister?? And all along our quotes included these things.. I want Mexico, to be our wedding day, not the day we renewed our vows
  21. Hey Thanks for the reply! I dont want the legal ceremony in Mexico, I want a symbolic wedding. I want to do what you that & thats what I thought we were booking. You say you had your civil ceremony down in the courthouse. So then what did you do in Mexico? Was in not a symbolic wedding?
