So I took my dress to a bridal boutique to see about what to do with my train.. I haven't tried my dress on in SO long but I still LOVE it!!!!
Here are some better pictures of me in it !
Have decided to bustle the train up to the second 'ruffle' for the ceremony and everything, where it gets bustled we are attaching a starfish brooch to add something of the 'beach' to the dress

Csho - I guess I will just wait to hear back. Island time is so nice for vacation but so stressful when wedding planning hahaha.
Thanks for the warm welcome ladies.
ps. thos barefoot sandals look so amazing - never even heard of them before. Wow. I'm excited to get and share ideas here too.
Hi Jamdrea,
Lisset was covering mat leave for Giselle up until December - ish, my first contact was with Liseet by email & than Giselle. We met with Giselle on our site visit to the resort this year, she is amazing. I hope you hear back from her soon

For some reason Giselle also gave me this email when we met with her at our site visit:
So you could try that as well.

Welcome Jamdrea!!! Giselle is the wedding coord.'s name, and you have the correct email. Sometimes she takes a little while to reply back to emails as she is a very busy lady. Again here is the correct email [email protected]

Let me know what flowers your looking at using and I will keep an eye out for you. Yes those are the dresses for my bridesmaids, my maid of honor tried it on and she and I love them. It's a venus dress style BM1277, go to the venus website and search for store locations by you. Than I called all the ones on my area to see which stores that carried venus actually had that style as a sample got trying on
with the lace up back your girls won't need alterations

Kay how do you find the flowers from Afloral? I have been talking to a lady at Destination or Not flowers (out of BC I think) and she has been really great. I just need a wedding bouquet and two bridesmaid bouquets and like 3 or 4 bouts so it won't be too bad. But then I was looking on Afloral and saw all the flowers and thought.... hmmm maybe I can do this. (I am honestly like the least crafty person ever, but this wedding thing and the prices are making me think otherwise and bringing out my crafty side I think lol). But yesterday I was reading a review of Afloral and this girl said the flowers weren't very nice and she ended up sending them back. So I am just concerned about the quality of them.
Kay what did you mean when you said you added the flower heads and then the steams? Did the flowers not come with steams?
I was thinking about doing the silk petals on the table. I think it looks sooo nice but simple and super easy to transport... my only concern is where we are having the reception on the beach I am wondering if it is going to be too windy and then they'll all blow away! I might go with the crystal pieces instead because it will add some colour to the table but they won't be flying away!
Hi Csho,
I should be receiving my Afloral flowers early next week so I will let you know. I only ordered the orchids from Afloral, not the white roses. The white roses I got from ebay 60 flowers for $30. The quality for these are pretty amazing. I totally think you can DIY, super easy. Yes, the rose just came as rose heads, so I purchased green wired mesh roll from Michaels in the floral department, add hot glue and stuck it in the flower head to create a steam. worked perfectly.
(The one on the right is what I used for the steams).
This is the video I viewed before trying out my bouquet.

As for the silk flower petals you could always make a DIY runner type thing. Check out a forum on this site called "No mess aisle runner" I think this would also be good used for doing the petal down the centre of the table, especially so your flowers dont blow away if it is windy

As for the TTD, Im guessing its the same charge for what we paid for our engagement session, which was $100/hour & $50/hour for any additional time. Our engagement session was an hour and a half and Alex only charged us the $100. We got 50 edited images and about 200 unedited on a disc. He also had a nice large print out picture (BEAUTIFUL) of one of our photos for us.
Any other questions feel free to ask away!

We are doing passport invitations for the DW & including a insert invitation (basic) for our AHR. Here is our rough draft to give you an idea:
And our rough RSVP boarding pass:
Hope this helps a little bit, for wording

Thank you Csho, I knew I wanted to do fake flowers, just because I didn't want to be let down if the resort didn't have anything I wanted at the time. But some bouquets I have seen are lovely. It is very easy to do, I could always show you somehow if you decide to do it. I was looking into ordering my silk flowers from Bloom Bridal in Toronto, but they quoted me $850 ish for 8 bouquets, 8 bout.'s & 3 corsages. When my total cost for DIY ones is just under $200. I got the white roses from Ebay;

& I got my blue/purple orchids from Afloral:
For table decorations for the DW, I have purchased silk wedding petals from ebay and I am going sprinkle them down the centre of the whole table, I figured these were so easy to travel with.
Here are the silk flower petals, theyre amazing quality & a steal!
(They come in a bunch of different colours.
For my AHR we are probably going to do the silk flowers again and this as a centre piece:
(Not the white lantern).

VanessaBB - love love love a sweetheart neckline. My favorite! The bustle will be perfect for dancing! Your waist is so tiny! xoxo
KaraMae - you and I have similar dresses. I love the lace, such a vinatge chic look. I agree with EVKnowsitall... a vintage bling sash/belt may be more rustic glam then the coral sash. I went with a bling sash as well. Regardless, you will make your FI's heart skip a beat when he sees you. Truly beautiful!!
Trivera5521 - your entire dress is a WOW FACTOR! You look amazing! The corset back is so sexy! Congrats! 3 months will be here before you know it! xoxo
Kay6356 - Where do I begin? I love everything about this dress. The sweetheart neckline and detail around the bust is my favorite. It acentuates your bustline beautifully. The corest back is amazing! Perhaps just bustle the bottom to come up and meet that 2nd lower row of "ruffle" (lack of a better word). I love how the whole bottom of the dress is so airy. It looks great on you! Good luck.
MrsHK - I cannot believe how magnificent this gently used gown looks on you. It's as if it were custom made for you. The V back of the dress is so elegant.
Leannesmith - Maggie strikes again! Spectacular dress - LOVE THE BACK!
lgerry - another gorgeous back dress!!!! You look like a princess in a fairytale! So so pretty!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much elissae!!! I am in love with, actually the first dress I tried in, and I KNEW it was the one had the 3 things I wanted most and I LOVE it
I like your idea just below the second ruffle. I shall discuss this with my alterations lady!
thank you Kay xo

And Miss Jolene!!! I love the map, may have to steal your idea!!! lol.... I also love the puzzle idea, very cool idea as well

All you ladies are welcome even if it is a different resort, more the better!
Right now we are working on our group rate, a little stressful, but I think we have made a final decision! AHHHH sigh of relief lol.
I just did a practise bouquet on the weekend to see if I could do it, and it was so easy!!! i love it, started with just the flower heads, added "steams" and made the bouquet. I really was happy with the outcome. Here is the example bouquet:
This is very rough draft and going to end up being my toss bouquet.
The actual bouquets will be bigger for my girls & mine a little bigger than theirs. with more than one blue/purple orchid.
What do you all think?!?!?!
Next to try is my DIY bout. & corsages!!!
Happy Planning

I love the map idea Jolene, where did you purchase this? Picture please. Im routing on something like that for our guest book, or a finger print palm tree. Ahaha, I totally feel you my MOH mentioned the other day about getting all the girl to go in and get sized, so we can put the order through to order... I kind of haven't thought about doing that until the summer! ahaha

Thanks for sharing, I may "steal" it if you don't mind?

Hi ladies,
This is my dress, it fits me to a T and is so comfortable I do not want to do any alterations to it except the train. It is too long and I don't 100% like the way it flows. Do any of your have any suggestions on what I should do to the dress about this. Im a little nervous about cutting it off, should I just do a bustle and keep it up like that for the whole wedding? If so what kind of bustle do you think would look best? Thank you soo much.
