I reserved the wedding date/package directly through the hotel because I didn't have a travel agent at the time I chose the resort. Since booking, I found a great TA (through Wright Travel Agency, the official agency of BDW) and she took it from there in terms of blocking off rooms and getting a group rate. Here are the rates we have for the wedding weekend of Friday, April 26 - Monday, April 29 (3 nights). Prices are per person and do not include flights. Hope this helps! Happy planning!! It's personal, cheap, and best of all he can never forget our anniversary!! Haha. If you don't like the date idea, you could get song lyrics, a special quote, memories the two of you have from your relationship, the state/country where you are getting married with a heart where the city is, etc. Lots of fun/cute choices. We are doing a postcard-sized photo save the date, so they were relatively cheap/easy to print a lot of. I haven't gotten around to thinking about the AHR just yet, but I like your idea of one month anniversary and sending invites out before you leave for the wedding. Right now I'm thinking of just a digital invite for the AHR though. I figure by the time it rolls around I'll be too exhausted from the STD and official invites that came before it to do something official!

Trying this again since my first time it was held for the moderator (I'm a newbie!) Anyhoo, I am getting married at Secrets St. James on 4.27.13 and I'm very excited, but I won't be doing a site visit before the wedding so I'm a bit in the dark about what to expect. We are sending save the dates to everyone. Like you, we're sure many people who get them won't be going, but I think it's nice for them to get the announcement so they can feel included. And they'll have a nice picture of you and FI! We'll also be inviting everyone to our AHR, which we mention on our wedding website so everyone knows that even if they can't make it to Jamaica we'd love for them to join us at a party when we get home.
