Booked flights last night! Finally, what a burden that has been lifted!! Went with air tran, anyone hear how they are with brides carrying wedding dresses on? I've heard so many conflicting opinions figured someone on here may know?! Anyway I am just glad that's out of the way, now on to the next thing to do/pay for!!

sounds good! I think we are leaving for a different resort on the 22nd but it would be cool to meet, I think there are one or 2 other brides there at the same time too, we could have a bdw reunion! You are really on the ball with planning (started early). I think we only have a couple people booked so far, I have no idea how so many people get people to book so early! Maybe all my friends and family are procrastinators like me, makes sense!

Hi Kristen, I am wondering how many people you originally invited, I am guessing I will have around the same numbers as we are inviting 70 total. If 70 people come I am going to have a coronary though!!!

I am also wondering if I will do my own make up or have one my girls do it, or just have it done with the package. I worry that I will hate it (I always end up taking stuff off when I get home after having my makeup professionally done...) so I really want a trial. I also wonder what brand(s) they use at the resort spa, will my own makeup be better in the long run? I'm not worried about hair as much, I just want it wavy/curls half-up and probably bringing my own hairspray so that should be simple enough. Just another one of the many extra things to think about with a destination wedding!

I think it may be full but I am not 100% sure I just emailed Teresa and asked her. If this is the case I am glad we decided to block rooms! I will let you know what she says. Over the weekend my fiance's brother booked through expedia, there was some sort of glitch in the resorts pricing and it apparently showed up on expedia, they happened to be searching for rates at that exact time and found it and booked since it was like half price of our group rate, I don't blame them! I guess it was taken down very shortly after once the resort realized what was going on.

Thanks everyone, yeah I am thinking I will have to bite the bullet as well and just invite them with guests. I am assuming not all will come anyway, so hopefully it will all even out in the end. Our AI is expensive if you go over the set amount of guests in the package as well, the fear of the unknown is killing me at this point! Especially with not being able to do certain things (welcome bags, budget, ect.)

what's everyone doing for guests who are single but will know people at the wedding? Do I give them an invitation addressed "and guest"? I'm torn, I want them to be able to bring someone if they are seriously dating someone at the time, but also don't want a bunch of randoms I don't know at the wedding. The extra cost comes into play too if we go over our #s because it will be like 11 extra people if they all come and bring guests....Let me know what everyone ended up doing!

I asked her about that and all she said was pretty much word for word what it says in their documents for the packages, that upgrades do not include pc ocean front and governors suite. We just booked pc ocean front from the get go because that's what we wanted and we didn't want to gamble with it being our wedding.

I totally understand everyone having to deal with rude comments and issues from people. I've had people tell me "Oh I will be pregnant in May next year" when they're not even pregnant yet! People saying "why don't you just get married here and make it easier on everyone." I had to tell a girl I'm sort of friends with that shes not invited even though she assumed it and told everyone we mutually know that she is going. I've literally had it all!! I'm down a bridesmaid too but not her fault as her and her husband are having major issues going on. I've cried over stupid crap a lot much but I'm over now, it's the wedding we want and I'm at the point where I barely even care who goes!! So I'm glad we can all be here for each other to commiserate!

So I need some help, I have my heart set on wearing a veil, was originally thinking an elbow length with thin lace trim to match my dress, but recently have been thinking I love the drama of a long simple waterfall veil...how do you think this would work? I am assuming it will blow around a bit but not sure how much. Anyone who got married on the pergola, how windy was it? I've seen pictures of brides on the beach with a long veil blowing in the wind which I love, but also worry that it will be blowing so much my hair will get messed up, it will be hitting people as I walk down the aisle, etc., which would be a nightmare! Let me know what you guys think?

I am using Teresa as well and love her, she is so quick to respond, super helpful, and makes everything so much easier! I was using a local ta originally and so so glad we switched!! Tova, it seems we have the same wedding week, resort choice and travel agent!! Haha great minds think alike right!?

I too have been stalking the airfare on the kayak app daily!!! I feel like a crazy person sometimes I think we will continue to wait a couple months as well, thanks girls.

Have you all already purchased airfare? And if not when do you plan on it? I was thinking of waiting til sept/oct but it looks like rates are going up, not down, at least to cancun. I know there's no way of knowing what will happen just wanted to compare notes?

Has anyone asked if sky lanterns are allowed at Now Jade? I will most likely email Pilar soon about this but thought I would check here first to see if anyone knew...super excited to do them at our reception!!

Well our save the dates have our wedding website link, so people can plan ahead and get travel agent info, so they can even book if they want to. Planning on sending formal invites in November with a reply date in February. I think 6 and 3 months is a good amount of time since people already have the save the dates 9 months out.

I just sent my save the dates for my May wedding...now I'm feeling behind!!

I also asked Pilar the same question and she assured me that everything would be fine (I expect about 30/35 guests)

Has anyone recently looked at the Now Jade website wedding date calendar lately?!? It's full all the way from this coming October through June 2013 completely! Not that I am super surprised but so so glad we got our date locked in when we did!!

@Mlite83 yeah I did see those, the pic with the actual reception going on does look slightly cramped but not sure. Just hoping someone would have had first hand experience with it on here.
