  1. Just kidding! Thank you Kristen! Lol, your email sent to my junk folder and I got a diff email from a Kimberly on here asking me to forward to her...lol anyway thank you!
  2. I have a couple questions today: @Khunt29 I was reading back in this forum and noticed you had a copy of the non-religious ceremony that Pilar had sent you, would you mind emailing it to me? [email protected], if you still have it? Thanks!! Also, I emailed the spa but wondered if anyone had input on hair and makeup timeline. I tried to find previous posts on this but gave up! I will have hair and makeup for me, hair for 3, maybe 4 and then makeup for another. So all together it would be 7 appointments for 6 people total. What time should we start this process if the ceremony is at 5 and I would like a free hour or so after hair and makeup? I was thinking maybe around noon but I guess that also will depend on how many hair/makeup staff they have typically? If anyone has insight let me know, thanks!
  3. I think they were on some sort of sale they were less than 2 dollars a piece, not sure of measurements for tables I will have rectangular (8ft?) tables to form one long table on terrace.
  4. No way I think your groomsmen look is perfect! Ours are doing tan linen pants, white linen button downs untucked with sleeves rolled up, fiancé is wearing linen suit pants, linen vest and same shirt with sleeves rolled up and a tie.
  5. I don't know if anyone still needs table décor items but I just ordered 6 table runners from linentablecloth.com for less than 20 dollars! yay!
  6. I am only doing this because my photographer asked for a list of must have shots and grouping of friends and family members
  7. perfect thanks, I might email them about bridesmaids bouquets
  8. I have heard of the hand ceremony which I like, and the rings passing around thing which is maybe what I'm leaning towards now, I love love the wine box idea but my fiancé isn't as into wine as I am and bringing a nailed shut box back will probably become an issue.
  9. I'll attempt to list all my to do's...I was lazy for a while so I feel behind but I have had a good burst of wedding planning energy lately so let's hope it sticks as I have 60 days from today! groomsmen gifts finish bridesmaids gifts all paper stuff (menus, place cards, welcome letter, etc.) music vows book hair appts figure out how to save on flowers finish my dumb diy project aisle runner I knew I never should have started! figure out something to do instead of a sand ceremony (if anyone has ideas I would love to hear!) shot list for photographer seating chart finalize Mexican wedding cookies order for favors marriage license take Xanax..... lol I think that is all! I'm sure there is more that I forgot!
  10. how much are bridesmaids bouquets? 60 sticks out in my mind for some reason...I'm freaking out about the cost of all this stupid stuff. I was going to just suck it up pay the resort price for flowers to make it easy but now I'm wondering if I should just go through someone and meet them at the front, at least for bouquets, I need 4 and then my own. Going to get my own at a store and putting them together is not happening for sure so that's out. What is everyone else doing and who are you using if you're having them brought in? I wonder if she would make them 30 each if they were half the size of normal, would that look stupid?
  11. I know! I asked if we HAD to say vows and they said yes, lol the lady was probably like what a weirdo.
  12. I figured it was going to be that way too but they do 2 time slots a day and that's it, kinda nice, though I didn't care since this is more of a paperwork formality than a wedding to us, we will count our wedding in Mexico as the real deal
  13. I just made our appointment for our legal ceremony at home before we go to Mexico. It was so hard coordinating schedules with the courthouse, my fiancé, myself and our two witnesses on a weekday I had to call about 4 different times. it makes you wonder how people randomly spur of the moment get married?!? Lol
  14. Yeah, I'm not a big fan those white covered chairs so it was one of my known splurges early on so I will still do it but I am not happy about all the hidden fees and mandatory "tips" that are added. I will just cut back somewhere else I guess.
  15. That's a good idea (not wearing the veil) maybe I will do that if we end up doing the first look. My fiancé is kind of against it too, I think we are both sort of on the fence.
  16. Thanks, I am just glad there isn't inconsistencies with the sound system and charging for it for ceremony. I think we will do the same @khunt29 and use iPod for first hour of reception to save $$$. The chair thing is crazy, they say $10, if its going to actually cost 13 dollars or whatever per chair, then say that. I might bring that up in our meeting.
  17. Pilar finally got back to me, a month later! And then barely answered half my questions so I need to email her again with follow up questions, I am going crazy. Also, wanted to compare notes. First the upgraded chairs, she is saying 11% tax per each plus if we don't want to pay double (ridiculous) we will have to pay a 40$ tip/set-up fee. Did anyone else hear this?? Also the dj, I want to swap out live music for a dj, this should be an even trade if I use the dj for 2 hours correct? And lastly the speakers set up, I asked her about speakers for ceremony and she said "the divine package includes speakers for reception" and that's it! So my question wasn't even answered...did anyone end up having to pay for the speakers for the ceremony as well? I am just in a bad mood this morning after waiting so long to hear back, not have my questions answered and then be nickel and dimed way more than I expected.

  19. You should be perfect, I planned my reception for 5 since the sun sets a little after 7 so that would put us in the "golden hour" for photos during cocktail hour. My photographer we are bringing down is trying to talk us into doing a first look. How does everyone feel about this? I guess I just pictured my fi seeing me for the first time that day when I begin walking down the aisle. I am starting to come around a little so we can enjoy part of cocktail hour, but my traditional/romantic side kicks in and says not to do a first look...so I don't know.
  20. I asked Pilar a while ago if we could just have an area set up for our group in the buffet after our rehearsal and she said no problem, we have a time but I can't remember when it was! Haha!! I'm the worst! But anyway this will also be our welcome dinner, not excluding anyone since we will have 25 people appx.
  21. it's at 5, pergola, terrace reception
