    Hi Jessica!

You are a day before our wedding!! Have you started any real planning yet? Sometimes, I think its way too early to make certain planning decisions... But then I can't help myself. Lol

This is GREAT!!! Thank you so much for sharing. This is definitely something new they're doing... Very good idea.

For the Cocktail Hour on the beach... Does anyone know if the beach furniture is included? It would be ashame if they offer the beach as a cocktail hour location but end up charging $$$$ to have it set up.

Also, I noticed Seaside Grill is not on the list. I was actually considering having our reception at Seaside. Does anyone know if Seaside is no longer an option?

I looove the Planning Checklist & Planning Form!! Great thinking DRC lol... Definitely puts everything into perspective for me as well as keeping me at ease... I'm sure many brides would agree.

  3. Hello brides,

I am so excited to show off our Passport Save the Dates. My guests LOVED them. As soon as they received them in the mail, my phone was blowing up off the hook!!

They were designed by Ginger of Serendipity Beyond Designs. She did and AWESOME job. If you are looking for someone to design your passports, I highly recommend her!!! She was very easy to work with, great communication, a fantastic designer and great attention to details.

I intended on paying the $15/pp. However, Lorena is saying that even that is not guaranteed a space in a restaurant. Its either I shut down the entire restaurant for our group (and pay I believe $30/pp+) or wait and see if they will allow me to have a space in the restaurant.

    Hey Lindsey,

I can't stop looking at your photos (& taking notes Lol)! Did you have colored up-lighting for your reception? I love the way the blue and green illuminates the entire Seaside Grill restaurant. Also, how much did you pay for your centerpieces? I wanted to do something similar with our centerpieces (but have 3 vases instead of 1) but Lorena said orchids aren't included and she will have to get back to me with a quote =/. I hope its not a ridiculous amount.

    PS

I think I am really considering having our reception at Seaside now :)

Here is what I am thinking for our centerpiece.

  7. Lorena's response regarding question about Rehearsal Dinner:

The rehearsal dinner is necessary to review the availability close to the date, because is subject to the occupancy of the resort, if you want it private, is not a problem but when the people want it in a restaurant, we need to wait.

I am planning an All-White dinner, where I will be distributing our OOT bags and welcome brochures, so the dinner is a very important aspect in our DW. Has anyone had any issues with reserving a restaurant for your rehearsal/welcome dinner? Is this their "policy" or are they just trying to nickle-and-dime for everything?

    P.S.

When did you all receive your first invoice???

At beginning everyone says yes, a very soon after the first payment they start dropping like flies. Make sure you communicate often If you are working with a travel agent and a payment plan for your guest. Be strict about your RSVP date. I am a month out and I still have people that have yet to said yes or no. I am talking very close people at that, granted I planned my wedding within 6 months. But for those brides who have a year of planning, you should stick to your guns and hold strong.

Wow... 6 months? Good luck with your planning. & thanks for the advice. cheesy.gif I am definitely going to strict with my RSVPs.

HOWEVER, I sent them 6 months ago and now my wedding is 6 months away and believe me, people do drop like flies. 6 months ago I would have said 75 people were coming, today I estimate around 45 people. Now that its time to start booking and people hear the cost, everything changes!!! The only mistake i think i made was some people i didnt really care to come, i sent the save the date too and they might actually come. ( its no biggie, i just didnt expect them to come ) so im actually worried that my wedding crowd will be wierd.. mostly close people & some people i wouldnt have expected to be there at all but i jsut sent the save the date to be nice lol either way i guess it will all work out!

Don't feel bad.. i feel the same way lol

Oh Great! I'm relieved... a little! We'll see what happens. Hope everything works out for you.

  9. Hello ladies!

I'm curious... How many Save the Dates/Invitations dd you all send out? And how many of your guests actually booked and/or attended your wedding? My goal was to have a small intimate wedding but my mother is forcing me to send out STDs all of the "family". My guest list is now over 100 but I would really like to have no more than 50 people at our wedding. I 'm getting really nervous now. Is it bad to hope that not all of my guests will actually attend???

any opinions especially from people who have maybe seen any of these options or had them would SOOOOOOOOOO be appreciated!!

I too would also like to get some opinions on the dance floor. I am getting married on the deck and I am back and forth about whether or not to have the dance floor. I am having approximately 50 ppl but the dance floor looks a bit small to me for 50 ppl. Also, does anyone know if your able to pick the color of the skirt that goes around the dance floor and the color lights on the dance floor?

  11. Congratulations Lindsey!!! You looked lovely and your wedding was beautiful!! I am so jealous that you were able to walk right out from your presidential suite to the ceremony :). I booked the Master Suite. Hopefully they upgrade me to the Presidential Suite! ;)

    Very cute choices, girls!

If you're looking to add either sparkle or beachy-chic-ness to your look from the ceremony to reception, barefoot sandals are a GREAT option! All of us were a bit nervous with a sand aisle and losing our balance, so these were ideal as we floated down the aisle.

They can be worn with and without flip flops, sandals and heels to change up your look (while still being super comfy!) My bridesmaids didn't take theirs off for the entire night (and we all still wear them on vacations and around the pool years later!)

I love your barefoot sandals... Are they customizable?

  14. Hi ladies!!!

I was wondering if anyone will do/has done a seated dinner for your wedding?? If so, which dinner option did you chose?? Are we allowed to chose from all three dinner options (silver, gold and ultimate)?

I am having approximately 40 guests and I will really like to have a seated dinner. I think I read that as long as you give your WC the options for each of your guests a month in advance it can be done. If that is the case, I am going to include the options in our RSVP cards.

Also, if anyone has ALL of the Dinner menus, can you please send them to me? For some reason Lorena only sent me the Gold Menu for Ultimate Package and the Silver Menu for Love Package. My email is [email protected]. Thanks

  15.  I believe this is Desire's Terrace. I too am also a spoiled New Yorker with very high expectations msnwink.gif

  16. Do you know how far away the Sports Bar is from North Beach and the Pool Deck? I don't want my guest to have to walk all over the resort for our wedding. Especially in the blazing heat.

I have another question ( what else is new ) - does anyone have an opinion on the lounge furniture set up on the beach for the cocktail hour ? This is what I orginally confirmed with Yamina, but when Lorena wrote back ( that one time ) she siad she had down for me the jacuzzi area.

I emailed her telling her it was a mistake but I havent really heard anyone on here talk about the lounge furniture set up. I thought it was a cool little feature sitting on the beach on a couch having cocktails but I wonder why noone else really does it.. hmm maybe I made a mistake ? Do you think its not private enough and won't have the look im really picturing ? Any opinions on this would be great, or anyone who did it maybe you have a review to steer me in the right direction ?

My fiance is not crazy about the jacuzzi idea.... so I think we are now between the lounge furniture on the beach and the desires terrace.... H E L P :)

    Hi Emily,

I too am struggling with cocktail hour location. I originally wanted it at Desire's Terrace but Lorena told me that Desire's Terrace will no longer be an option for a cocktail hour location. I asked her what are the options but she has not responded as yet.

I really don't care for that Jacuzzi area. To me its a little awkward having a big jacuzzi in the middle of an area where our guest are supposed to mingling and DRINKING. Also, we are inviting children. It will be a nightmare if one of them fell in =/

I like the idea of lounge chairs on the beach but I am worried about privacy as well as the HEAT (my wedding will be in August).

Quick question... If I or you opted for lounge chairs on the beach, do we have to pay to rent the chairs, tables, lanterns, etc.? I really hope not.
