You can contact them through their website (just Google River Cafe Puerto Vallarta and it should come up) and just let them know about how many people you are expecting and a price point per person. They got back to me in about a week with a menu. Beware of the language barrier though! When I first contacted them they thought I wanted to have my wedding and reception there so they came back with a $65/person menu! Once I explained it was just a dinner they came back with something more reasonable. Quote: Most of our guests are arriving the weekend before the wedding so we are having "Welcome Cocktails" on Sunday and that's when we will hand out the welcome bags. I think our hotel had a fee to have them delivered to everyones room so we dicided to avoid that and just hand them out ourselves. Most of our guests are arriving on different days and at different times, so we had everyone email us their arrival times and we plan on meeting them at the reception desk with their bags. We thought it would be nice to greet them as they arrive, make them feel welcome and show them how excited we are to see them.
  2. Hi ladies! Can't believe I only have a month left! Haven't heard from anyone on here in a bit...I know there are a ton of November brides, how's everyone's planning going?

  7. Hi Lori, I already have them packed--we bought 35 of them. I stacked them in three and wrapped each stack in bubble wrap. I was surprised at how many I could fit in one case. Hope this helps!!
  8. Ok, here are our ring bearer and flower girl gifts... My niece is our flower girl. She is 2 years old. We are giving her a mermaid hooded beach towel embroidered with her name (ETSY), a flower headband for the ceremony (ETSY) and a flower girl book. My nephew is our ring bearer. He is 4 years old. We are giving him a shark hooded towel, a personalized sand bucket with a shark (we bought this in red) and his name (he LOVES sharks!) and a bowtie to wear for the ceremony. All were purchased from Etsy.
  9. Well brides, so much for attempting to post everything in order, LOL. I have been taking pictures as I complete things, so I apologize if all of this bouncing back and forth confuses anyone. This is our "here comes the bride" sign that our ring bearer and flower girl will carry. The back says, "just married". I purchased it on Etsy. This is a close-up picture of the hand-cut banderas flags that I mentioned in the beginning of this blog. We are giving them to guests at the ceremony to wave around when we are pronounced husband and wife.
  10. Hi ladies! I just finished the bookmarks we are putting in our oot bags. I used the Phillie Phanatic image again and wrote, "You were here." Thought it was a cute play on words meaning, "this is where you were in your book" and also "you were in Mexico." We are planning on giving guests a late night snack (Mexican wedding cookies) to take home after our welcome party. I found these cookies on Amazon and I made the bags with our at-home printer.
  11. Thanks you!! You aren't far from us, Jersey girl. Where in Mexico are you getting married? I purchased the bags from Etsy seller, Ciera Design, but it was a while ago and it doesn't look like she sells them anymore. They are square glassine vellum bags. I searched Etsy and it looks like this seller, Laserbird, has the same thing available. They were very easy to print on with our at-home printer. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! Here is the link for the bags sold by Laserbird.
  12. Here are some of the table signs that will be displayed during the ceremony... We are calling our specialty cocktail, "Horchata Colada." For anyone who has never had or heard of horchata; it is delicious! I think the best way to describe it is "the milk left in the bowl after a huge bowl of cinnamon toast crunch." It is a traditional Mexican drink made with rice milk and cinnamon. We are adding Malibu coconut rum to make it extra tasty. We are also having a s'mores bar at the reception. I ordered some fun homemade marshmallows on Etsy: coconut, Mexican chocolate, pb nutella and horchata (cinnamon & sugar). This sign will go on our wish lantern table. We are planning on asking our guests to write a wish for us on the lantern before we release them. Sparklers will be displayed on the same table as the lanterns. I made sparkler cards that say "Light the Way, When Our Song Begins to Play." This sign will inform guests when to use their sparklers. This sign will be displayed on our escort card table. We are using the sand dollar xmas ornaments (posted earlier) as escort cards. This sign explains the significance of the ornaments.
