Thanks everyone, I was feeling very discouraged yesterday as I had my heart set on the Palace. I am going to check out expedia and orbitz soon, the prices haven't come out yet for then though. I have never heard of Apple Vacations but i will check it out. I don't think it's school break then, I know my daughters school is March and we are wanting to go Feb 5-19. I am going to ask another travel agent too and see if that helps. Hopefully we can find some way and better prices to make it work, I looked at other places yesterday that where beautiful but they don't compare when it comes to all of the things Barcelo has especially for kids. Our daughter is the most important part so I want her to have fun and be happy.

Wow just got a quote from our travel agent today and we might have to find another resort it would be $2000 per person for a week and I was originally told around $1700. Our for 2 weeks is $3000 each, and to top if off she said it will most likely go up. I am devastated. that's to much to ask of our guests.

I am starting a workout program today ( Jillian Michael's 30 day shred) and I was wondering if anyone can tell me how far in advance I can order my dress? I found one I like at Davids Bridal and my wedding in early February 2013. I was thinking May but now I want to give myself some time to lose weight. Would August/September be to late? What do you think?

I just started it today, and I am really out of shape lol. I don't want to set an unrealistic goal for my self but I would like to lose around 20 pounds before my wedding next Feb. my only concern is when to buy the dress, because if I lose I worry it won't fit or if I gain again. I have struggled with my weight for a few years now so it's tough.

Thank you that helps a lot. We have only 25 people going so i am not sure about group bookings but I emailed my travel agent to ask. Most guests are Vancouver and Calgary. With the Deposit did your wc accept that as a way to start planning? We were told it gets us a booking number and I hope Xhail accepts it because waiting until august seems to long in order to get the location we want.

Xhail usually takes a week and a half to two weeks to get back to me, but I try to be patient because I know how busy she must be but it hard sometimes. As for travel I am finding that there is a difference from US to Canada. My travel agent found me this pre booking thing that we can do where we pay a deposit and get a booking number but don't actually get prices until July with Air Transat. I am super nervous because I have mostly looked with West Jet and Orbitz for prices and West Jet seemed pretty reasonable, I have no idea what to expect with air transat. If we fly out of the US we can prices in April, but we are wanting to fly out of Calgary with our bridal party, even though we live in BC very close to the border. How did you find the prices for Air Transat FireyNurse?

I am looking for some travel sized Imodium. I looked at Amazon and to ship to Canada is $30 for just shipping a $10 item so that seems crazy. I only need around 12 if anyone has some extra. Thanks for your help.

I have used cards and pockets, I found the pricing and shipping to be fairly reasonable. Plus they ship samples free even to Canada which I thought was helpful.

We have held the date, and that's all we can do so far since our travel agent says we can't book the vacation until august because that's when the prices come out. Do find Victoria helpful and quick with response?

Hi We have Xhail too, and to get some information has been difficult and a lot more stressful then I ever thought with a destination wedding. Our travel agent won't even give me price information until August and I can't book my vacation portion until then either, I am very stressed that we will lose nicer spots due to this problem. The date is held but that's all we can do until the travel part which makes sense but I thought that part would be easy. The last week or so we have started to regret a destination wedding due to the lack of response we have been getting from the resort and the difficulty with the vacation part from the travel agent. I am glade I am not alone.

That's a good point, I am not liking the idea of traveling all over the resort to visit people.

Have you picked where you want to get married? We had a hard time choosing between Mexico and DR, but ultimately choose the Mayan Riviera.

We had originally suggested this to our families as an idea and we got the response of if people are paying for their vacation they should get to choose, so we decided the drama wasn't worth it and that the resort was big enough that if we wanted alone time we could find it. I guess it just depends on your guests and whether or not they would respect that request.

It depends, mine with the custom URL cost $100 for a year, but they have monthly, free and 2 yrs too. The monthly is $10.

We decided to keep it simple and go with the mint breeze package, we are only having around 20 guests so we thought that would be perfect. What about you? Have you been able to book your vacation package yet? my travel agent said that w can't until August but we can put like $150 down per person and get a booking number to give the resort and then we select our package in August.

That's awesome!! We had our first date on that day too but it will be 11yrs for us in 2013.

Hi We finally booked our date at the Barcelo Palace and I am super excited!!!! We have had to push the date from this May 18 (our 10 yr anniversary) to next Feb 18 because my fiance has taken a course that ends in June. I can't wait until we can book our air but our travel agent says August which I find strange. Does anyone else have that problem? We can pay this deposit and get a booking number for the resort but we won't know the cost until august which is kind of stressful.

We are thinking about looking at the mall if all else fails.

Hi I am getting bags for my OOT bags that are light purple, little pink and a blue. I am designing a simple logo in black. My question is, Can I use Iron on transfers for light fabric on my blue bag if the transfer will be black? I am having a hard time finding them where I live and I only want the 4x6 size and can only find the 8x11 in the dark ones. Can you put two images on the big ones and cut them? Thanks for your help, I have never done this before.

Sorry, I still haven't found a Canadian one, maybe you could put a Palm tree or something worse case scenario.
