  1. To be honest, when booking the Seaside Grill, the deck isn't included and it is indeed an additional charge. Tiara should have told you that when she offered you a price quote.
  2. Congrats again Sabrina, I'm glad that everything worked out well. Don't you just love Jenny!!! I said I would have another wedding just to work with her again. I love her "Don't worry attitude", she made everything just perfect and accommodated us to the tee. Even watched my 18 month old daughter so we could continue to party. She was the best!
  3. Wow Soccer1615, I never knew anything about it. So no we didn't use it, I wish we would have with all the other people asking if we had a registry.
  4. So a week later I see this post - Emily your bags are awesome!! Your guest are truly going to enjoy them! All the special attention that you paid to everything, will make any guest feel extra special. GOOD JOB!!!
  5. Aww CoCo, I am always here just lingering. Funny thing is I have excellent time management skills but I have horrible life balancing skills, if that makes any sense. I have officially received my first complete order with Paper Dreams, Boarding Pass invitations. Weird thing is, I didn't take any pictures of the sample, so can't wait until I get those in production so that I can have pics. I have officially 4 customers - if you can only see the vintage invites I did. I'll email them your way soon.... I miss our daily emails - yet I see everything is slowly falling into place.
  6. Well hot dayum...I am glad that FI is so happy, it only took forever....but I guess it is better late than never. As for the programs, NONONONONONO do not do a reprint, you gave both her and the cousin plenty of time to do the minimal. If she brings it up and ask about it then allow her to be in your party, if not don't sweat it. You've reached out to her many, many times. Done deal!
  7. You do not have to be at the resort 5 working days prior, who gave you that information. The minimal is 2 business days prior. I would definitely attempt to contact the WC at the resort directly. And like Brendee said, my wedding was also on a Saturday, matter of fact there were 4 weddings on that date.
  8. Missmini, What questions do you have? I did not go through a travel agent, I did everything directly with the resort. My wedding was November 12 - is there anything that we can do to ease your mind, feel free to ask!
  9. I completly understand the withdrawal feeling, so glad my bestie (MOH) is planning her wedding for August 2013, so I am glad I continue to plan. The business is actually starting, I officially have 3 customers, so I am beyond excited!!! What a great start.
  10. Ooh Ooh Ooh Ooh, KAT.....They are beyond beautiful!!!! I know you have heard it a thousand times - Red shoes, to die for! Dress - perfect....You & Mike just wonderful I really love the pic of you back and white with the pink flowers. I have a similar picture. Everything looked perfect!!!!!!!!! Congratulations again and thank you for sharing with me!
  11. I did indeed use my cricut, they were time consuming but everyone loved them. I am doing a batch of pilsners for another bride right now.
  12. Hi, Some ladies have given their BMs parasols, fans, tissue pomanders or even create your own with real touch or silk flowers bouquets. I myself, made silk flowers for my BMs and used the same order of flowers for my table centerpieces.
  13. Or to stay with the travel theme, you can always go out and create passport invitations. Use your pages and fill them with the information you need to include. I did boarding passes as my invitations and then sent the passports out a month prior to our departure to give people a little more information about our itinerary.
  14. Thanks Kat!!! Business is actually starting off extremely well thanks to the support of the DW Brides and friends. It helps a lot that I was able to create a website and a blog to chronicle everything I do, so it is moving right along and I couldn't be happier!!! Congrats on your wedding, where's the pics?!?!?!?
  15. Here's a pic of my hairstyle done by Maria....I have naturally thick hair, I had extensions added before I left home and Maria did big curls and pinned it into a bun. The style lasted all the way through dinner (before I started dancing and sweating, LOL)...she also did my make up
  16. Hair dresser at dreams la romana?
  17. Wow....wishing Sabrina a wonderful wedding today!!! I hope see relaxes and do not worry about anything....everything will be just perfect!!! S/N Thanks Brendee2005 for being a supporter ~*Smooches*~
  18. No need to say it....this are beautiful. What a great addition to your special day!! Also, I need to know your boyfriend's name, may need to make a serious investment. Your postcards are perfect. Vibrant and full of color!!! Love it all....Kudos chica!
  19. Surprisngly enough, everyone is still checking for updates to this thread. It has been exactly a month since I wore my 'Cynthia Bailey' gown on the beaches of La Romana and I seriously can not wait to go back. It will be our destination November 2012. BUT In the mean time I have indeed been a busy girl. This site is GREAT!!! I have met a lot of wonderful people. A lot of supportive people. People who are standing behind me as I venture out on my own. With that being said, I've done it. I am a business. My business name is Paper Dreams - my website is www.paperanddreams.com - any and everything I did for me, I can do for you. I can't say more because I am pretty sure that me mentioning having a website or a company is somewhere against the rules. Yet I just want to say thanks to all of the ladies who pushed me to go for it and I did!!!
  20. Welcome and hello!!! I did not get married in Jamaica, yet there are plenty of resources on this site to help you find your perfect spot for your perfect day. As for the travel agent, it will all depend on you and the size of your party. I had a rather small group, so I didn't mind hounding people about booking their rooms and flights. Also, I have a lot of free time on my hand, so calling around and gathering the best prices and negotiating is not outside of my realm to do. Other brides get a travel agent because it relieves them of answering questions that guest may have, it relieves them of hounding people down for deposits, flights and rooms. So if you have the time, patience and energy then forgo a T.A. Yet it does require a lot of your attention. Once again WELCOME!!!!
  21. On my Zune I made playlists. We did have the DJ for the reception, yet all he had to do was go to the playlist and play the song. The list were titled - First Dance, Dinner, Party, Mother/Daughter, Processional- Bride, Processional-Bridesmaid, Husband & Wife entrance....etc, etc. So everything was pretty much laid out for him to play.
  22. Get it girl....I may have to still some of your images to include on my website (if that's okay)
  23. Sabrina- As the photographer mentioned, our ceremony was at 4, it maybe took about 30 minutes or so for our ceremony. Dinner was at 6:30, by 6:30 it was dark. We got married at the gazebo, and it was HOT!!!! We were all sweating, we had more than enough time to take pictures, the sun began to set around 5:15 or something like that. The sun takes about a full hour to set, so if you take pictures anytime between 5 and 6 you will get awesome photos!!!! If I had the choice to do it again, I would have picked a letter time to better preserve my make up, because in some of my pics you can see a sweat streak running down my cheek, LOL. LADIES I CAN NOT REPEAT THIS ENOUGH - RELAX......TIME, LOCATION, DOES NOT MATTER!!!! EVERYTHING TURNS OUT PERFECT. DO NOT STRESS THE SMALL THINGS. YOUR GUEST WILL BE WOWED BY THE BEAUTIFUL SETTINGS NO MATTER IF YOU GET MARRIED AT THE GAZEBO, PIER, BEACH OR IN THE POOL!!!!!
