I made my first recipe from skinnytaste.com last night, and it was AMAZING! The FI loved it and could not believe how low in calories it was. Now I am just trying to keep up with tracking my points to see progress.

We booked La Luna for 5 hours at their recommendation. We wanted longer, but it simply was not in the budget. I think they can capture a great story in that time though.

I booked Melissa from MVP Hair and Makeup, I only have to purchase the day passes for her and two assistants.

Yay @ DJ Mannia! I just held firm with the Weddings dept., that my Miami coordinator could have told me about the vendor fee instead of leaving me waiting two weeks to hear from her instead. It's definitely worth a try!

Thanks. The Weddings department came around and I only have to pay the day passes. I definitely would have moved my wedding had it turned out otherwise.

They can change things whenever they want but they take weeks to months to get back to you!

I did! I have about 70 bags, so hopefully we can give one bag per guest. After seeing yours, I'm really excited to start mine!

Ladies I need some advice. Last week the head of the weddings department emailed me stating that I would have to pay a $300 outside vendor fee for two vendors (photographer and DJ) after they made an exception for one. I emailed her back stating that my Miami Coordinator never informed me of this policy, even after she had ample time and opportunities to do so. I also forwarded an email from my Miami Coordinator that states I would only have to purchase a day pass for the photographer; leaving only the DJ subject to the policy. I have emailed Lucy in the Weddings department now three additional times and have yet to hear back from her and am getting the feeling that she is ignoring me. What should I do????

I am using them, and so far we have not had any major issues. I know that there are negative reviews on this site, but I think everyone has a different experience. There were things that my FI and I were unsure of in the beginning, but we have forged ahead without problems. BTW, we only use them as travel agents, not wedding specialists. I hope this helps.

Your bags are great! These were the first OOT bags, that helped me to realize that I could do this on my own.

I would not. There are so many other fabulous resorts out there that will allow outside vendors. Why deal with the stress of having the resort change their minds now, it's not worth it.

I just booked DJ Mannia for my April 28, 2012 wedding! We're so excited after all of the great reviews.

I'm bringing all of our things in a box too. My mom has the bags and I will have everything else.

I vote #1. I think it better suits the dress.

I'm so sorry this is happening to you. I get the sense that one of MOH will be doing very similar things. I agree with Merrylee, that you can find another role for her in your wedding. As hard as it is to hear, everyone is in your life for a reason and a season and hers may be coming to an end. Please do not let this bad apple ruin your wedding experience.
