  1. I think we will give him a few ideas to work from, and let him take it from there. How are you going about drafting your list?

  2. I am in the process of booking Marvin. His going rate really depends on the types of flowers you want, but are cheaper than the Palace florist. Let me know what variety of flowers you are looking for, and I may be able to share the pricing I have.

Have any of you or will you book with Marvin?  If so what have you found to be his going rate?  I'm thinking of tackling this as a DIY as I'm learning the real touch are expensive as well.  I'm by no means a flower person so I really don't want to spend much.  I have 6 bms, 6 grooms so it adds up.

  3. So far,we have...

    • put a deposit down on my dress
    • purchased reception shoes
    • selected bridesmaids dresses
    • decided on flowers with Marvin
    • chosen La Luna to photograph our wedding day (yay!!!)
    • hired DJ Mannia
    • hired MVP Hair and Makeup
    • completed 75% of the OOT bags (everything is designed, and I complete a different project every day)

It does not always feel as though you accomplish very much, but when you list it all out you can really see what you have been working on!

  4. Congratulations! We are getting married April 28, 2012 at the Cancun Palace. I have been addicted to this site from the very beginning, it
     is so much fun.

  6. This is a great dress! I think my girls are going for a similar style from henkaa.com. Your sister looks great.

  8. I'm getting married at the Cancun Palace and I have hired an outside photographer. I only have to purchase the day pass for the photographer and his assistant. I just held firm about the photographer and they agreed to my request. Unfortunately, Palace likes to change their outside vendor rules and allowances on a whim. Good luck!

I also wanted to book with the Beach or Moon Palace, but the Beach Palace contact (Janina) told me the photographers would have to be guests of the resort and staying at the resort.  Did anyone find a way to get around this recently?  I really wanted to go with the Palace Resorts, but if they don't realize photography is one of the most important elements of the wedding experience, they may not be a good venue after all.

    Thanks!

  9. I am thinking that I may actually have too many. I will start the bags pretty soon, because my downtime before I start grad school is winding down. I want to have as many DIY projects done by September as I can.

I can't wait to see your OOTs once you get started!!!!
