This weekend I was searching pricing on flights & hotel and they are coming back almost $300 per person cheaper then the price my TA gave me! and I know a lot of my guests want to save money so they will probably end up booking through like travelocity and we won't be able to receive the complimentary cocktail hour or reception! I don't know if its common for those type of websites to be cheaper but I don't know what to do now! Any suggestions?! Can the TA find lower pricing?! I am waiting to hear from her but thought maybe someone on here would know more info! -
Rae I can't answer all your questions but I can for a few. Someone on this website posted a link with fake flowers on it so check it out, they don't seem too bad! But what a lot of other brides have done was to go through an outside Florist. I read a lot of posts about someone named Marvin http://www.save-on-crafts.com/orchidbouquet2.html The 1500 As far as the credits go there are certain things they can and cannot use them for just so your aware: *1500 resort credits is for 5 nights or more per room *750 for 4 nights per room * 500 for 3 nights per room Hope this helps some!

I ended up calling my TA last night and telling her about booking our guests through the link and she was totally cool with it, she seemed to already know thats what most people do. So hopefully all works out well I am feeling much better about the situation

Schica927 I have a question for you since you keep talking aboutt he resort credits...Friday I received our group contract through Moon Palace and the woman specifically wrote in the e-mail " Please be advised that if they don’t book through your group link or directly through me you won’t get credit for those rooms." And we already have a TA we have been working with and I noticed you are using one also. Did you have any problems with making sure your guests and yourself receive the credits?

The MIB invites are ADORABLE!! I wish I was that talented! When is your wedding Merrylee? My sister is making my STD/Invites for me and we are getting married in January and they haven't gone out yet!! Everyone knows about it that needs to know but I am just getting nervous about them not being sent out since it's getting so close to our wedding! How early are you having your guests RSVP? I think we are saying 3 months..

That's a good question beatyea! I would like to know that too. I also wanted to know if anyone has a list of the different areas where you can have your cocktail hour and/or reception? FYI I can't open any attachments yet!

Thanks! Having the date set is a huge relief! The resorts credits were def. the deciding factor between resorts! Do you already have a wedding coordinator? I have read in previous posts some people have one already and others who didnt hear anything until 90 days before. I feel like I have a million questions for the WC and other brides to be! One thing I was wondering and I remember reading it on past posts, was about our guests who will RSVP. We will send out STD shortly and I'm not sure when they need to RSVP by, such as 5 mo. before or 3 mo.? Any suggestions?

oh ok! I know my travel agent told me not to expect any extras and if it happens, it happens so basically she told me not to get my hopes up! Thank you Summerdawn!

Ok so I have question for whoever can help me! In the contract it says... ""-Online bookings or rooms booked through various operators do not qualify. And What I am referring to is the list of all the complimentary things such as comp nights and private events. Does anyone know if you book through a travel agent is it still possible to receive these extra perks?!?

We are planning to book at the Moon Palace for the end of January and havent set anything in stone yet but its roughly 1600 for 5 nights including flight. Our TA said it should drop also this summer but it will most likely not go up, that's a good thing! -
So I ended up talking to my TA about booking the wedding and she is calling the resort for me, either tuesday or wednesday this week! We are hoping to get Janaury 28th 2012. Are there any other January brides?!

I had no idea until I just read this post that the contracts don't come out until 2012 for 2012 weddings! How did you learn about Pilar in Miami? I am interested in trying to get in touch with someone!

I am also trying to plan a 2012 wedding at MP and haven't heard a thing back! Where did you learn about the WC in Miami? I had no idea they didnt book weddings 2012 weddings until 2012!

I am new to the website and I haven't read much about Secrets St. James. We are looking to stay there and get married there with one of the package deals. Does anyone know how the WC is that they offer? Or any other info about the hotel (likes, dislikes, ect) and same with the wedding packages?! Thanks!
