  1. Omg girls.. I'm having the same problem!! I haven't bought the dress yet cause I'm confused about my colors also. I'm thinking of having my dress oyster my FI in a tan suit and then the BM in red dresses and the groomsman in tan pants and white shirts... But I'm not 100% on it yet. What do you gals think??? Originally i wanted to have the BM in champagne dresses with red roses but ...now I'm just totally confused I wonder if the red will be too much.. I mean really is the oyster really that noticeable?? Please help............
  2. Have you not received any info yet??? Who is your WC? Even with all the info in front of you, trust me its still a little overwhelming. My mom is coming into town this weekend to look over "My book" and go through everything with me. Its alot of work these weddings. And yes if your not having a huge wedding its prob not worth the cost. There are tons of photographers out there. I just love them the best. I have a few other names of photographers out there if you want to check them out
  3. Thats so funny.. cause i just read that review too about her doing the semi-private dinner and then doing a beach dance party. Thats a great idea! I didnt know that was possible either. I guess u wont know until you ask. Cause ive been asking tons of things that i didnt think were possible. And all they can say is either yes or no. So its worth a shot. And yes im very excited to use Blue lens.. i cant wait! And with the centerpieces if your only doing a quick dinner it might not be worth it. But you should def check out that lasy im using ..she is actually not that bad for prices. Just send her what you want in a pic and then she will give you a quote
  4. I know its so hard planning a wedding from a far.. but it will be an amazing event. The photographer isnt too bad. I think the package that were going to use is $1250 and it includes a photographer for 4 hours, 80 edited photos and then an albulm with those 80 photos..so its an ok deal. I just really like there work. And yes it is $70-75 for the photographer to come into the resort for the day. But i just want to have amazing pics Regarding the gala room.. i had requested it because ive always wanted to do an indoor reception and because im having over 40ppl you have to do either a private beach wedding or something in a gala room. If you have under 40ppl it might not be worth it cause you have to pay for 40. But just ask ur WC to send you info. Its hard because your basically paying for an entire other wedding on top of the package that your playing for. But the WC said that we could use the dinner provided for a welcome dinner.. so thats kinda cool! And unforunatley the DJ isnt provided, thats another charge How far along is your planning coming?? How many ppl do you have attending??
  5. Yes to have a private reception is a little pricy but i guess it depends on how many ppl you have attending. Were have prob around 50 so i have no choice but to do the private gala reception. but there letting use the dinner that is included in the package on another night, so will probaly use that as a welcome dinner. So it kinda works out It never thought that this was going to be so difficult..lol But it will all be worth it in the end. When is your wedding date??
  6. Hellooo..Im soo happy to hear that everything turned out amazing for you!! I cant wait to see your pics:) I just had a couple questions if you dont mind... How were your flowers?? (bouquets and bouteniers) With the gazebo ceremony.. How loud was the music?? Could everyone here what was playing? I also heard that anyone not staying in the Platium suites could go into someones room to hang out only if there were staying the platium suite as well.. is that true?   7. Yes ive seen the El Dorado and its does look amazing. But i think that its adults only from what i can remember, and that would be a problem for because we do have children attending the wedding. But i will definitley keep that im mind for the honey moon! How was your wedding at GRP.. Is there anything I should know? How many guests did you have attend? Where did you have your reception? Did you stay in the platium sutie..is it worth the extra money?? Thanks!
  8. It really is stressful. But we all have to remeber that its all gonna work out I just wish it was easier to communicate with them. Im now waiting to see how much the royalty package and the gala room with buffett is going to be. I hope it not what im thinking and them charging me $70 pp. I was looking at the plated menus meals last night and my gosh i dont even know what have of them are. I wonder if you can adjust the menu...pick what you want and get them to create a menu for you. Im sure that would cost extra but then at least your getting exactly what you want. Oh and i forget to tell you about the photographer that were going to use. There called Blue lens photography.. and the pics they take are amazing. I just love how they capture the moment and arent to abstract about the pics. U should check them out. Are you using the hotels centerpieces that they provide or are you using an outside vendor??
  9. Hello everyone.. I need help. Im a little confused about how a larger group works at the Grand rivieria princess. I have about 50 ppl attending our wedding and have received a ton of info about the menus and the gala room options. Now the WC told me that if i want to use the royalty package (which included a dinner for us and 38 guests) but have over 40 ppl attending we need to look into doing the reception on the beach party or in a gala room. Which is fine. Then she told me that it would be extra for the use of the gala room..which again is fine. Then tells me that i can choose from one of the plated menus (princes ranging from $45pp to $107pp) or i can choose a buffet option which is $70pp with open domestic bar. now my question to you guys is.. Do i have to pay $70pp FOR ALL 50 PPL or do i pay the $70 pp after just for the extra 10 ppl. Im sooo confused!!! If anyone has had a large wedding could you please help me with some info. I just wanna confirmed that im not being ripped off. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Yah everything is a little unlcear right.. good, i thought maybe it was just me..lol. And your right i wonder what it would cost to costomize your own package.. but with that i can see it being a little stressful, espescially having to deal with it all by email. With your reception.. the only thing that im not a fan about it that you only get the use of the resturant for 1hour and 30min (So i have heard) and its not totally private. And then where do you have your first dance and stuff. Thats why i like the gala rooms cause you get it for 4 hours and its private. But everyone is different, so what every makes you smile that day is all that matters. Have you booked and confirmed your date yet????
  11. Ok i will send you what i have received. And yes i think thats the best way to go about this now. Ive just sent her a email asking if the will adjust the package price or credit me because i wont be using there dinner package options. So i guess will see what she says. I dont think they will.. but its worth a shot. And then i also just asked for her to give me an estimated price on what it would be for the royalty package with a buffet dinner in a gala room with domestic open bar. ill let ya know what she says. I also asked how it works for outside vendors to come in for that day. Cause i found a photgrapher that i love!! But im not sure how that works.. do we have to pay a day pass or anything? Also, im probally using and outside vendor for my centerpieces and stuff. I was planning on bringing my own, cause the hotel charges about $50/per centerpiece and i think thats only for flowers. So i thought that it might be cheaper for me to bring my own. But then a gf of mine that just got married in Mexico in Nov told me about this florist company out there that also does even deocrating. So im just waiting on a quote from her as well. It might be worth it for me to pay a little extra to have exactly what i want.. you know what i mean?
  12. I know its very stressful doing everything over email. ive just received some info from Elizabeth and im still just sooo confused. Does anyone know if they will credit you when you dont use something from there packages?? Cause i have over 40pp attending and there telling me that now i have to pay $70pp for the dinner in the gala room, but the package includes a dinner for 38pp. I dont wanna have to pay all this extra money

Its not booked yet cause im still just getting a little info before i confirm.I just recieved another email regarding the gala room and im sooo confused. Im trying to figure out how they can adjust the royalty package to what im wanting. Cause that package has everything we want, except the fact that ill have over 40 ppl attending. So ive asked how that works for pricing. She told me that it would be $70pp which includes open bar, but so now im going to pay $2500 for the package and then $3500 for dinner?? It confuses me. I wonder if they can adjust the price of the package because im not using the a la carte resturant. I think in my next email in just going to tell her what i want and then just ask for a price. I think that might be a little easier..well i hope ne ways There are alot of options for the receptions. The beach party is a little expensive, but if thats that your into the reviews on it are amazing. There is also the gala rooms, and there are a few options for the as well. Elizabeth sent me a ton of menus and info. I can send the info that i have received to you if you would like. And yes i did join the FB group..it took a while for me as well to be accepted.

My is going great..i pretty much have everything picked out for what i want now i just need to make it happen..lol I dont have a dress yet but that ill start looking for soon. I didnt realize how hard it would be to plan a wedding over email..haha But as ive been reading they all seem to turn out perfect. How many ppl do have coming? Where are you doing you reception??

  16. Heyy everyone.. Im hoping that you guys can help me. I just received a ton of information today from the WC. They provided me with lots of menus but didnt specify what menus are for what. Im wanting to do use the royalty package that includes dinner for 38 guests, but my problem is that were probably having around 50 p...pl attend. Im wanting to have our reception in one of the gala rooms, she did mention that there is an extra cost for that.. but didnt say how much. Does anyone know how much extra its going to be? Also, What menu can i use for the gala room?? Am i allowed to have a buffet?? Is there booze included?? Im just sooo confused.. hope someone can help

I hope this isnt the way its going to be..im a very organized person so im hoping to get all the info so that i can look over prices and such.

Its too bad about booze not bring included How many hours do you get the gala dinner for? With the DJ are you giving him some of your own music to play as well? Heyy ladies.. im having just over 50 ppl attend my wedding and were thinking of having it at the Grand Riviera princess, but i see that the only place to have a large private reception is the beach. Im really wanting to have the reception indoors in a ballroom/confrence room. Do any of you brides to be know what it looks like?? I cant seem to find any pics of the confernce room done up Or is there another area in the resort that we would be able to use??
