    if they are at a different resort, will you ever run into them? I get why you would be upset, I totally would, but maybe there is a way to just work around it- if the reality is you won't come across them if you stick to your resort- how far away is their resort? do they want to "hang out" or anything? that would be a deal breaker for me.

    I have never heard of this but we are using www.uponourstar.com and I assume it is something similar- it is a wish/honeymoon type registry but we liked it for it's universal capabilities to really add anything on- honeymoon, spa, dining, furniture, dishes- it is so far, really easy (and fun!) - so if you are still looking, I would check it out. HTH!

    I second all the Jen Lancaster books if you havent' read them and I LOVED the Hunger Games trilogy- so I highly recommend those. other good beach reads are Jane Green and Sophie Kinsella- easy chiclit beach reads!

    I don't think it is tacky at all- I think it can be very pretty if done well!

    You can also do what my fiance have done - we've combined a honeymoon registry with a wish registry, we've listed a bunch of 'wishes' like flights, nights at a hotel, dinner with a private chef - our guests contribute to the wishes, and then we'll be getting cash after the wedding. Personally I just liked the idea of breaking the list up into different items, rather than just a big honeymoon fund. Our list is with www.uponourstar.com - there are others out there, but so far it's been a fun experience!
