  1. Honestly, I don't know if anyone has put this but I would pack LESS than what I brought. I only ended up wearing tanks and shorts, flip flops and the occasional dress. I had two bags that i had to drag around and I only wore half (maybe of what I brought)
  2. Here is our final Wedding Ring and Band shot, My ring was custom made by a local artist so I do not have an official band yet-maybe in the future!
  3. Thanks for all the compliments! I really did end up loving it, it was silk so it was so soft and beautiful close up. Amjohnson-- no they have a line of several wedding dresses, they are just more casual than most. My sister also got her bridesmaid dress there and it was beautiful. I really recommend people giving them a try. The funny thing I learned that day was that I was so stressed about a windy day and in the end it made my pictures turn out so wonderful. Thats the best advice I have for everyone, go with the flow and everything will turn out great.
  4. Ok, I posted a pic of mine on the model a few months ago, but now my wedding has come and gone--it was truly wonderful--and I thought I would post one of me in the dress. I chose a simple dress from BCBG of all places but it turned out to be perfect for me:
  5. Hi Ladies, Just got back yesterday from our honeymoon. Let me just tell you that you ladies are in for such a treat! Where do I even start? Isla was amazing and such a wonderful place to get married. Zama was incredible and the service was awesome. We had them do our centerpieces and the decorations. The food was awesome! I had Sabina help me with all of the wedding planning including flowers for the ceremony and bouquets and such. They all turned out wonderful and her rates were really good. She is a wonderful person and so loving and calming (which is important). She also arranged our photographer Pamela Starr and our Videographer, both were fantastic. I havent gotten the video back but I have all my pictures and I absolutely love them. Feel free to take a look: http://www2.snapfish.com/snapfish/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=4252275023/a=1464537023_1464537023/otsc=SHR/otsi=SALBlink/COBRAND_NAME=snapfish/ The band we used was La Banda Sin Nombre from the island, they were Great! Also, Sabina has a great guitarist that can play during the ceremony and cocktail hour that we really loved having. As for golf carts I dont really have much of a suggestion, we rented a house and also 3 golf carts for the week (about $300 each) but I am not sure what to do about renting them for your guests. I would think it would be best just to let them take care of that themselves. Most of our guest stayed at Villa Rolandi which was excellent and I would really recommend them if that is an option. Anyway, it was our dream wedding and we were so happy that we opted for Isla and Zama instead of a large all-inclusive resort. Let me know if there are any more questions I can help you with.
  6. We are doing Pashminas for the ladies and buying nice tequila shooters for the men when we arrive.
  7. I think they were $2 a stick which may sound like a lot but they are handmade and you can pick whatever picture you want if you dont want a palm tree. She's also really fast and easy to work with.
  8. I bought these Swizzle Sticks, she did them custom for me and it was her first time. They turned out great! The shop is WoodAndGlass.
  9. Ok, I have an unusual question.(I think anyway) We bought my dress at BCBG back in May and I am in LOVE with it. I went online today to see that my dress has gone on sale and is now only $115! My question is: Should I buy a second dress for photos and then change for the ceremony? Has anyone out there ever done this? I just feel like its so affordable that maybe a should get a second one but then again it may just be a waste. Thoughts?
  10. Hi Sachaalb, I understand your anxiety about planning a wedding on Isla. At first I was the same way but it has seemed to me that the island is much more laid back then we brides could ever be! But that's a good thing and it will help you relax when you are there. Someone that has helped me a ton has been Sabina Tamm at http://sundreamers.com/index.html she seems to do everything you could need and has great reviews. For me she has arranged: the ceremony, flowers, cake, and photography. She is super friendly and easy to work with. I can let you know after my wedding how everything turned out. I don't know about DJ since we hired a band and I am not sure about transporting 90 people from Privilege to Zama, Someone at Privilege may be able to help you. Have you been to Isla? Its great! I can't wait until Novemeber! If you need more info or have any more questions let me know!
  11. The seller is Sunshine and Ravioli, she's very easy to work with and can do them in any color.
  12. Here is ours: They are vintage luggage tags. We bought them on etsy. Loved the way the turned out!
  13. I ordered these: http://papelvivo.com/a262.html Received them yesterday and they are PERFECT! They are really high quality and the gal was so easy to work with. I highly recommend her!
