Haven't really been on here very much, but just wanted to share some ways that I have saved money on planning. 1 - ordered my wedding dress online for 180.00 CDN. Hardly needs any alterations, and I ABSOLUTELY love it! 2 - made my own save the dates which in the end cost 0.35 per card 3 - made my own invites from a clearance kit that I found at staples for 7.83 for 30 4 - doing the legal ceremony at home prior to leaving which saves a lot in translation fees This has allowed us to splurge on OOT bags, our reception and just having fun with excursions and our families while at the resort. Can not wait! 3 months and counting!!

Hi BrideJan2012, My FI and I are having our reception on La Barcaza on November 17, 2011. I booked directly with Flori, and she has been great, just have to be a little patient when getting a response from her directly. She usually gets back to me within 3-5 days, which really isn't that bad. We are getting married at Paradisus Punta Cana, and the ceremony isn't included in the cost.

Hi Kokonutte, I totally agree with booking the wedding boat directly with them. The prices are so much better! Are you doing any decorations on it? I was talking to Flori and she said that you can either bring your own or she can see what she could do for decorating it. I can't believe that they want to charge 100/hr for the ipod dock! Riduculous!!

Here's the site www.weddingboatpuntacana.com They pick you up and you travel down the coast of Bavaro beach and stop at the natural pools. They have a whole selection of options for your reception and dinner etc...We have decided on the Grill for dinner and then bringing our own music on an Ipod. We are thinking that 3 hours will be enough time but see what happens! Hopefully this helps! Happy planning!!

Just booked PPC for our wedding November 17,2011! So excited!! We will be having the Fantasy package with the cocktail hour and then (hopefully) having our full reception on "La Barcaza", the wedding boat!

Hi Ladies, Congrats on booking your resort! Was looking at Melia Caribe myself for what I'm hoping will be my November 17,2011 wedding! Just a question, do they only provide symbolic weddings??

Was looking at Majestic elegance Nov 2011, but now am torn between it and PPR...so many choices! AHHH
