Islandgirl - My understanding was that if the florist was just dropping off/setting up then there was no vendor fee or day pass needed. I need to find this out also because I intend to use Jan's Flowers instead of Tai Flora. Her prices are nearly half of what I was quoted by other florists in Jamaica and she includes the tax in whatever price she quotes you.

Have you looked into sheer decorations only for the huppa? Like the one in my profile picture. There are some beautiful designs you can do without flowers. I am still undecided about flowers. I may go with a variation of the $180 picture I posted a few days ago - I agree that $450 is a lot for just the ceremony flowers. Another poster used faux capiz shells behind the them and I thought it looked beautiful!

This site is addictive. I thought I was sold on an invite - then I was browsing the invite section and remembered how much I like the boarding pass invites when I first joined. I downloaded Alyee's template and made one and I kinda like it. Now I am torn between invites. I will be happy when October is over so I won't have to make any more decisions!!!!!

Thanks ladies. I don't think I will have the Welcome dinner time and location confirmed by the time I need to order the invites. I guess I could just include that we will be having one huh? We were going to send a pre-travel brochure too but I guess we could use some of the info from that and scratch pre-travel. Ok ladies I need help . I found an invite on Etsy that I love. It has 4 layers top, invite, directions, reply - it's a swivel invite so all these are attached. Well we decided not to do the reply card since we are sending invites to booked guests only (around 50 ppl so far). I have no idea what to put on the 3rd layer since directions are not needed but I need 3 layers to complete the look. HELP.

I REFUSE to let my guests stress me out. We mailed STD's around Thanksgiving complete with TA's info. About a week after the new year we started encouraging people to make their deposit to lock the room and flight rate. Well today flight prices increased by $100.00 and half the people hadn't booked and are now semi-pissed. Has anyone else experienced this with their planning (changes in flight prices)?

Thanks for the info. I am going to contact our TA to see if we can cancel the reservations. We only paid a deposit but I would hate to lose it. ashaun - If you can do it, try to change it. Honestly, the food and atmosphere different enough at the Grand that it wont feel repetitive. There were other things I didn't like about Secrets too - like the mosquitos!! They were bad there. There are NONE at the iberostar. It can be hung loosely - it is mostly wrapped because it is usually to windy to hang loosely.
