I have to agree with the rest of you ladies.. This is the first review that I have read that was this bad, especially agains Nicole... Nicole is usually the most comforting part of everyones review. This person sounds like she had a lot of expecations that might not have been attainable. I definitely wouldnt let this one trouble me. I am in a Regional position with a Hotel company so I understand and am empathetic to the challenges of the wedding coordinator position....but we were all disappointed with the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites wedding coordinator, Nicole Barnett. To make it easier on her and to insure details would be organized prior to arrival so we could relax and have fun once got there.....a few weeks prior to arrival we submitted meticulously detailed instructions, event orders, time lines, dinner reservation times, etc.for the wedding/reception and the group events we had planned over the 4 days and I seriously doubt she even looked at it....let alone made any effort to faciliate the Bride's wishes. We certainly understand mistakes happen and things get overlooked sometimes but it was something major everyday....with no apology offered or attempt to correct. Every encounter with Nicole was unprofessional and absolutely aggravating....so much so that the Bride completely broke down in tears the night before her wedding from shear frustration. Luckily we had a great, fun, efficient group who made the wedding and reception happen in spite of the wedding coordinator. Consensus is we would love to come back to Iberostar on vacation....but not for an event. The Star Friends...Kiki, Jukebox, Momo, Happy Feet are so talented and amazing and Klema who had a smile for us every day at the pool Bar kept things fun and interesting all day long. This is a great place to bring your whole family....the Star Friends keep the kids (big & small) entertained from morning till late at night. Such a beautiful property and location and a really great value......Just wouldn't do a wedding considering our experience. I would have given this hotel a 5 Star rating if not for our experience with Nicole.

I have read several reviews and comments of past brides who have used both and were satisfied. I would go back through some of the reviews and this thread.. I know its lengthy, but I recall a few. I think some recent brides have chosen to get their own because of preference. I am using the the resort for hair and my maid of honor for make-up because she does make up and I wont have to add that cost into my budget. hope this helps some...

I agree.. I am trying very hard not to get caught up in all the extras... My group is now down to about 14 people and I actually find it difficult to pay for alot of these things for such a small gruoup. I keep re-thinking all my planning decisions not wanting it to go to waste if everything is not utilized.

CONGRATULATIONS MRS SMITH!!!! You looked beautiful! Sorry about the privacy issue. I completely understand. I only have about 12 guests coming so i wont be able to have a private event either. How did the Music Bar work out for you? Was that private or are other hotel guest loitering? What did you do during dinner? How was the mood? The tableware/china.. did you provide those or did the hotel?

Hey BridetwoBe and Islandgirl- Actually- I have already started having people back out... Ive stressed cried and screamed so much that now all I can do is LOL!! I am now down to 10 adults confirmed.. Still waiting for 5 or 6 to bbook and debating on taking 6 children... Im very excited just finding myself having a hard time making decisions about the reception... With so few people I really dont want to pay for a private reception. I just got a response from Nicole that says if you dont pay for a private reception you cant have music because you are sharing the space with regular diners, so that kind of kills what I have planned. Im very excited, Im starting to really plan my decor and all sorts of stuff but I honestly cannot wait until we leave.. I am really looking forward to the time away after all of this... By the way most of my guests called and put their deposits in on the deadline date...

I know!! I called my TA in a panic because I thought these prices were fabulous my wedding is June 30th so these dates work perefectly for me, or so I thought. They dont work for me because we got the early booking rates in October for Oceanfront suites and these prices are for standard rooms, but for people who havent booked yet, these are definitely good rates....

We ordered "Tan Linen" which I guess is like a" came"l colored linen. Of course he hasnt worn it yet, but the construction of it is very nice... Its not real thin like some linens and doesnt seem like it will wrinkle easily.. but I am definitely interested to here Breeze's thoughts. I am actually going to order him a lighter one.. so that he can chose which one he wants to wear for the wedding or rehearsal dinner... I like the weight of Linen but hate how it wrinkles and looks messy at the end of the day. MrsDeloatch: What color did your fiance get? Thank you for any info you can provide!
