Wow! You ladies are giving me some great ideas! So far I have made: STD post cards & matching magnets, tote bags for bridal party and mother of the bride, hat for father or the groom, hats for wedding party, personalized pens for gift book table, Soon to be Mrs tote bag for myself, hat with our logo on it for myself, Bride tee shirt. And a couple NWR items for myself (like the adorable mousepad of my cats, heh)

Do you ladies know if they'll still charge this fee if you say that your photographer is just a family member taking pictures? This really iritates me, such a cash grab!!

That's great! Thanks so much Laura! I will do that. Our welcome dinner will be 2 nights before the wedding so it could pass as a rehearsal I got the free wedding package though, because we're doing our reception on La Barcaza so I didn't need all those extras. I will start sucking up to my wedding co-ordinator now and hopefully she'll book it for us. Thanks again!

Hi! I am using La Barcaza party boat for my wedding reception on May 9 2011. I'm so excited  You do have to take a small speed boat to the party boat because obviously a big boat like that can't just come up and park on the shore. It looks like it can seat quite a few people at a time. A friend of mine used the boat for her reception (hence where I got the idea from) and she didn't mention any problems that people may have had getting off the motor boat and on the big boat.  If it is the boat you are talking about in regards to making reservations for 8, you can make reservations on the regular La Barcaza restaurant boat for as many or as few people are you like just like a normal restaurant. If you want the wedding boat all to yourself there is a minimum of 20 people required. I believe that you can have as few people on it as you want, but you still have to pay for a minimum of 20 people. Hope this helps!

Hi ladies, Â I just came across this board today and so far I'm in love I thought I should introduce myself. My name is Amanda and my fiance Jay & I are getting married at the Melia on May 9 2011 at 4pm. Reading your posts (especially laurabrea78's amazing review) are getting me even MORE excited that I was before (didn't think that was possible) Â I hope you don't mind if I ask a question in my first post! For those of you that have already got married at the Melia, were they pretty accomodating when trying to book a welcome/rehearsal dinner? I don't think we'll do a rehearsal dinner but I would really like to book a welcome dinner to give out our OOT bags and for everyone to meet. Was it easy for you to make reservations for a large number of people? Was there an extra charge? Â Thanks so much in advance for your help! I can't wait to get to know everyone!
