Welcome Angie, Speak to various travel agents and start there. Try not to get overwhelmed, it is after all YOUR wedding, so it should be easy to plan. Look at a FEW pictures, consider your budget and take it from their. Happy planning!!

I have not attended a beach wedding BUT, have you ever walked on grass with heels??? Sand is a lot softer. The heel will definitely sink. This will become a personal choice, if you won't mind waling on your toes then go for it. I suggest leave the heels for after the wedding! Lemme know what you decide!! =)

I think the best place to start (considering that you have spent 3 unsuccesful months searching) is to speak to travel agents, preferably in your area that specialize or have experience in booking destination weddings. Keep us posted, and congrats!

I agree, if the dress you ordered is no longer available and the sample is the store should throw in the alterations (which can cost quiet a bit) and offer the cleaning and steaming of the dress (Most stores, when purchasing floor samples, offer complimentary cleaning a few weeks prior to the wedding day.) Im sure the store owner wont have a problem doing any of these things for you. If not you og NUTS on her and demand ALL of your money back (she may try to just give you a portion.) As far as getting the dress taken 2 sizes smaller. I was just a bridesmaid a few weeks ago, and I lost alot of weight exactly two sizes smaller. It doesnt matter how small you get, the seamstress will make your dress look like it should. Congratulations, and keep us posted on your meeting! Good luck!!

My best friend just got engaged on Saturday and wants to marry next summer in Punta Cana (the groom has family in DR.) She is looking for an affordable off the beach all-inclusive resort that won't be expensive. She has no idea where to start!! Should she decide on a date first, send out save the date cards THEN book a hotel? Guys Id like any help and direction, suggestions, or anything based on your experiences.
