I am praying for no rain too! I am still 2 weeks out so the forecast can go either way. Mocha, what's the highest temp it got when you were there. I was looking at the month prediction and it says 86 degrees now. Was it the same for you? I am asking b/c I sweat like crazy and I am worry of being all shiny, lol. Also, everyone keeps saying how breezy and windy it is, is it really that windy?

Aholen, I called Kalena yesterday and they said she was busy. I said she doesn't need to call me back, just reply to my email! Another bride on here is getting married this week and she emailed me yesterday from Mexico and said that Kalena is that wonderful so don't worry. I am trying not to but I'll keep you posted if I have any luck getting ahold of her. As for the group excursions, I heard we can't book those till we arrive if we plan on using the vacation dollars. FYI regarding golf- One of my guests asked the resort if they needed golf shoes. The resort said you can wear tennis shoes or golf shoes so if guests don't want to rent shoes, they don't have to as long as they have sneakers.

Boo, that sucks! Too bad we won't be there at the same time. My WC is Kalena. I hope to hear from her soon b/c I added another table and made some changes to the room setup and I just want to know that its ok with her. I mean even if I don't hear from her I am sure it will be fine b/c I got most of my plans done. I just like to have everything documented and planned ahead of time. I really need to stop worrying.

I agree, I think my I got my refund early b/c I had a TA and if I went through Palace Resorts, I would have had to wait. I wouild have rather applied my credit towards the wedding but my TA told me it was seperate. Even though she charged me a deposit, I wouldn't have lost any of it if I didn't get all 30 rooms b/c as long as I released them by a certain date, I would not be penalized. Bride K Smith, your wedding is soon right? What days are you going? I am going May 25th-June 1st. Have you talked to your wedding coordinator recently? I called today but no luck, couldn't get through to my wedding coordinator:-( I left her a message so I hope she gets back to me bc I have sent her 3 emails and haven't heard from her since mid April.

SummerDawn, well my whole trip was comped since I made 75+ nights so when I say final payment, I mean final payment my guests made on their trip. They got to pay for their trip in 3 installments. I had requested a hold on 30 rooms for my wedding guests and had to put a deposit for each room and she let me apply the same deposit to my reservation in case I didn't meet my 75 nights. Good thing I did b/c I got my refund back, an upgraded room and unlimited private events.

I have an awesome TA too and her rates actually came in lower than the MP! I found her through BDW and she's been great. I got my refund for my deposit a week after the final payment was due. My TA was Teresa Stauring from Vacations 4 Less, she treats you like you're the only client even though she's super busy.

Thanks Mocha, great idea. I am def going to ask about it. I just assumed those guests will go into our friends rooms to freshen up but a hospitality suite is much better. So when your guests with wedding pass arrive they just provide their name to the gate and then they check in the front desk? I am paying for everyone's wedding passes so I wanted to know what to tell them to do. They get to use the resort like eat/play like any guest during that guest pass window right?

Ok its pretty ugly. I don't care about my guests as much but more so my wedding party. Schica, let me know what you find out! I guess its good to know that they are on top of security. Has anyone had any guests that needed a wedding pass? I have 10 guests passes that I got for the guests who chose not to stay on the resort. I know the pass is valid from 11am-11pm. At 11pm, do they really escort ppl out? One of the FIance's friends thinks he's going to be able to "talk" his way out of leaving at 11pm. Its so annoying b/c he's one of the friends who can actually afford a nice trip but chose to stay off the resort to save money. Also, for the wedding they get the same privileges as any other guest between those hours right? I just wanted to know so I can inform those guests to come early and enjoy the resort since my wedding is not till 4pm.

Are you serious? What does the bracelet look like? Plastic? I was in a DW in the DR last year and we had a little nicer bracelets that were string and we were able to slide them off for the wedding. Will we not be able to do that? I can imagine the bracelets looking kind of weird in the pics. Ugh, another thing to worry about.

Ok Ladies, I have some exciting news to share! So not sure if any of you are interested but I did some research and asked questions before getting you all excited about this. So as I was finalizing my wedding video details, I asked Kodak randomly if they have a photobooth available for rent. I had asked Deco months ago and said how popular its in the USA and they said unfortunately they don't have one. I am not sure how new this is because I haven't heard or found anyone else doing it in the Cancun area. It took them awhile but I got prices and what it comes with and what the booth actually looks like since I was afraid it could be some bootleg photobooth with polaroids or something. Anyways, the price is pretty steep; close to US prices. Some friends of mine had one at their wedding so I asked for the cost to compare. I know its a splurge but I know my drunk friends will love it. The only thing I am not happy about is the background in the booth. The background is black with wierd stick figure ppl celebrating. I asked if it could be covered up or if there were any options for a colored background and at this time they don't have anything. So I am going to suck it up. So they are offering the booth for 3 hours for $850. There are 6 pics per page and your guests can also do 15 second videos to you and your groom. They had a 5 hour option as well but my reception is only 4 hours. I had asked about 2 hours as an exception but they came back with $790 so I am just going with 3 hours since the price diff is not that much. This is what is included with the booth rental. Photos and Videos Includes: - Unlimited photos. Instant printing - Unlimited videos. 15 seconds video - Webpage, where you can see the entire photos and videos of your event. Events options: (you have to select between public, semiprivate or private) the costumes are included . - Public. All people visiting the webpage can see the event - Semiprivate. Password required for entering the media gallery - Private. No gallery available at webpage. - Link your photos to Facebook - Scrapbook. Album with blank pages to attach pictures and write a dedicatory from your guest´s - DVD with media gallery - Costumes - Hostess during the event - Customized Booth. Projection of photos and personal videos on the monitor outside the booth during the event I am still trying to find out if the DVD is included in the cost and to make sure they don't surprise me with some crazy cost for the DVD and shipping of the DVD to me. But they told me all other options are included in the cost of the rental. My favorite part is the scrapbook option. Where guests can print one copy of their photo for keepsake and then put one or all of the photos in the 2nd copy into the scrapbook and write a message. This will be our guest book:-) Sorry this was long but I am really excited about this and wanted to be detailed as possible for any interested brides:-)

Thanks for explaining that contradiction I was reading. On the palace site it said $1500 for golf but then in a small paragraph below it capped off at $300/$150. So does anyone know how much shoe rental and club rentals cost? That way I can tell the guys to be prepared. I will probably tell the guys to bring shoes since that's not too much to pack. I hate how the MP keeps changing the rules. I know my guests will be upset because they were under the impression that everything was included.

Does anyone have any information from the MP showing what can be used and included in the vacation dollars?I know they keep changing rules so I was wondering if anyone had anything to show that you could use the dollars to rent golf shoes/clubs etc that way when we're down there we can show that so they can pull one over on our guests?

Schica, I emailed my wedding coordinator the question so I'll post it on the board once I find out! Her responses are non existent lately and I leave for Cancun in 19 days . . .but I know she's amazing so I hope she's just busy making other weddings perfect and something didn't happen to her. . . .Even though she's not responsive I guess its comforting to know she's giving brides down there full attention.

O I wish I knew that! I spent so much with Deco. I really hate having to waste money on centerpieces but I had no choice. I am not even getting the ones I really want b/c of cost. I need 9 centerpieces. Mocha, with Marvin you said he provided vases to you for your flowers. Did he box the vases up? I ordered like 9 bouquets, 15 bouts, flowers petals. Do you think I'll need a couple of ppl to help me transport it all back to my room?
