  1. Hi Tammy!! Insanity is intense and requires commitment but it is so worth it once you start seeing the results. I LOVE it and would definitely recommend it over P90X any day. No equipment necessary and it will still kick your butt. Check out the website and start with the fit test. Yes you will be dying, sucking wind and wishing you had never considered it by the time your done with the test....or maybe even after the first exercise. But we can all agree that it is so worth it afterwards and you may even begin to look forward to it. It is an exciting new workout that will challenge your body and mind but you can push through it. Just stick with it and DIG DEEPER!! Good Luck. Let us know how it goes.
  2. Hi Abby....and JJ I'm coming up on my 1 yr anniversary in November so any of the info I give you is outdated...especially with all the changes. Hopefully one of the more recent brides can assist more. Also try the search function. That is how I found the info below.
  3. Did you just come on here to advertise? Are you getting married or was this just an option to send ppl to your page? If it's the later I really do not think this is appropriate. This is a destination wedding related board.
  4. Congrats Joanne!!! What a lovely 9 month anniversary present. So happy for you both. Post pics of the adorable angel when you get a chance. Hope you are getting some rest. Hope everyone else is doing great!! We are looking forward to the 1 yr anniversary coming up. Already have our trip down to the Riviera Maya booked. This whole year is just flying by but has brought us so many wonderful blessings. We moved into our new house 2.5 wks ago. It is very exciting and almost everyday we say "can't believe we own a home". I have been tired and exhausted since the move. Can't seem to go to bed early and I have to get up before 5 to hit the road in time. But its worth it everyday when I pull into the garage and walk into the house. Here is a pic of the outside! Have a lovely week ladies!!
  5. HAPPY 7 MONTHS LADIES!!! Wow another month gone. Time is flying. Thank you all so much for the responses to my earlier posts. I am so glad I still have you lovely ladies to talk to and keep in touch with. I am glad we are all in the same happy place and can truly be happy for each other. The haters will be haters and that will never change. So glad everyone is doing great and the pregnancies are going well. Our house is almost done and we should be living in it by the end of next month. So crazy. We are looking at booking our next vacation which will be for our 1 yr anniversary. We originally planned to go back to the same spot but Aventura Palace hasn't been getting the best reviews lately. So I think we are going to stay at another hotel in the same area that we get a discount at. I love having a vacation to look forward to. I have the resort pic as the background on my computer....makes the days go by easier LOL!! Have a fabulous week everyone!!
  6. Hey Jess!! When do you leave? I would really like to know what you think about it when you get back. I think David and I have both decided to go somewhere else for our 1yr anniversary but same area. We are thinking Barcelo since its in the same area and we get a huge discount there. Hope you guys have a fabulous time!!
  7. Shannon - just sent you an email with the template. Let me know if you have additional questions.
  8. I believe it is whatever the nightly rate that was given to you by either Palace Resorts or your TA. You just don't have to pay for those nights when the final bill is due. Maybe it is different if you went thru Palace but we were paying our TA so our final bill was less the complimentary nights.
  9. Same here ladies. The complimentary rooms came off the total we owed to our TA. We never had to pay for them.
  10. Mundaca is huge so with only 18 ppl I would recommend Cove Terrace. There have been some great shots of it on this thread. Search for it. Yes you can bring your own music and anything else you want to bring. It is YOUR WEDDING!!!
  11. Glad to hear the recent brides had lovely weddings and you soon to be Aventura brides are finally getting some responses and getting everything together for your big day. I am so excited for you all. I remember how anxious and excited I felt leading up to it. I hope the weather is great and you don't have any major issues...but be prepared to handle or brush off the minor ones. Steamer: I also brought a portable steamer with me and my sister steamed my dress the night before. Luggage Weight: If you are worried about the weight of the suitcase I can tell you (and past brides would probably agree) that you should eliminate about 1/3 of what you are bringing to wear. You won't end up wearing it and it is just taking up space and adding to the weight. Definitely eliminate unnecessary shoes. You will probably stick to one or two pairs the entire trip. If I remember right they have a hair dryer so you can eliminate yours - even though theirs may take you a few more minutes to dry your hair it is worth it not to lug one around with you. A way to test the weight is to stand on the scale and check the number. Then have someone hand you the suitcase and check the number. Gives you a rough idea how much it weighs. I was so worried about the duffle bags full of the wedding stuff being over weight that I kept weighing them to make sure they were ok but totally forgot to check my actual suitcase. That thing was like 70lbs lol! WHOOPS!!
  12. I am not sure how everyone else feels about being newlyweds but I am going to guess things are still great and wonderful for all of us. So I am wondering....have you guys been getting negative comments from others who have been married for many years or are divorced? All I hear from them is "just wait" or "talk to me in 5 or 10 years" or "those things won't last". I am so happy and on cloud 9 still and I feel like everyone just wants to bring me down. Last week I was in France for work and it happened to be our 3 yr anniversary of being together. David surprised me by sending me a dozen red roses to my hotel room. It was so amazing and he went through so much effort trying to get it done. I was so happy and giddy and it was such a great feeling. And then I had about a handful of people say negative things like what I wrote above. I just don't get it. Even if that is the case and the romance and the spontaneous actions like that will stop as the years go on....why not just shut up and let me enjoy it now instead of telling me how bad it will be in a few years. Geez Sorry ladies...I had to vent. It has been happening to me so much lately and its not like I am going around talking about me and David and how wonderful my marriage is. I am just very happy and when I'm asked how married life is going I seem to just light up and have a big smile on my face and say things are great. I don't understand people sometimes. Maybe they just want others to be miserable if they are. Ok enough of all that negative stuff. Have a wonderful 6th month anniversary everyone!!!!
  13. So sorry to hear about your father Pucca. What a rough thing to have to go through after having such joyous moment not too long before that. Like Joanne said I hope you have wonderful memories of him from your wedding day. Hoping the road ahead is full of only joy and happiness for you and your husband. Enjoy Atlantic City with your mother if you guys end up going!!
  14. I did two days in a row!! YAY FOR ME!!! LOL (Insane Abs & Pure Cardio) That is sad that I get excited over 2 days when I did 60 days straight before. Anyways...I am 5 weeks away from vacay and I have my plan...Pure Cardio, Max Cardio & Conditioning and Insane Abs every week from here on out. I like those 3 dvds the best so I have a better chance at sticking to doing them. Hope everyone else is sticking with it and pushing play. Happy Friday!!!
  15. Thanks hun!! They just poured the foundation this week. It's so fun to watch it go through the whole process. We are all coming up on our 6 mo anniversary!! I actually feel like its been longer than that haha. Anyone have plans to celebrate their 1 yr yet? We are thinking of going back down to Aventura but Palace Resorts seems to be having some major issues with the switch over to Hard Rock so we might need to change that up.
  16. HAVE A BLAST YOU BEAUTIFUL BRIDES!!! Can't wait to see pics and hear all about it.
  17. Great job kellygrrrl!!! You look amazing and you can see how happy you are in every photo!! So glad you made it through the whole thing. You definitely are an inspiration to future brides on here.
  18. Yes we had a bar at the welcome dinner at the Spa Terrace. They just set it up with tables and white clothes but it looked nice. The bar was built in at the Solarium Mundaca for the wedding reception so we didn't need to worry about that. Do you plan on having alcohol at your wedding reception? If so, then a bar is required. Not sure what the price was. Should be on the paperwork somewhere. Sorry my memory sucks and I don't have my usb key that has all my wedding stuff on it. Maybe someone else can comment on the price.
  19. So I decided to throw in Max Cardio and Conditioning last night....thinking I'd be able to do it. Wow what a shock. I was tired during the warm-up lol. But I got through it and felt so good afterwards. YAY ME!! I really need to start doing more of these. Down to 6 wks til vacation for me. HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!!
  20. Welcome!! How has the first week gone so far?
