We visited Adventura for the first time and loved it too! We are planning our wedding for down there next May and are debating between having the wedding at Adventura Cove in the gazebo or at Cancun Palace on the beach. Any opinions/suggestions??? We absolutely love the gazebo and how formal it looks, but are in love with the aqua blue water in Cancun. Would really appreciate hearing from anyone or seeing pictures!!

All I can suggest is flipping thru this thread and looking for past brides photos of Aventura so you can get and idea of what it looks like. I have no comments on Cancun Palace but whatever you pick will be amazing.

Here is a photo of us at the alter in the gazebo on the cove side.  Its gorgeous!!

What we ended up doing was buying huge duffle bags (so big they fit a person...yes I tested it out lol) and stuffed they with the OOT bag stuff and wedding decorations.  I carried on the glass vases, toasting flutes and any of the breakables but all the bags, survival kits, paper products and other goodies for the bags were in boxes or bags inside the duffle bags.  That way I had my suitcase just for clothes/honeymoon stuff.  It worked out great and we brought just about everything with us...centerpieces, vases, lights, sashes, OOT bags, etc.  Yes we paid extra for the extra bag but that was part of the "wedding budget" so I didn't care.

Oh and remember all the crap you are packing for "vacation" you probably wont need, wear or use.  :)

    Hope this helps you ladies.

I can't get over everyones results! sxcT u inspire me! I so want to look like you on my wedding/honeymoon! Shaylaj great job! And congrats to everyone else who has completed or is doing Insanity!

I just ordered my DVD's 2day and can't wait for them get here. I have read through this whole thread 2day and am soooo excited to start, a little scared but excited to start feeling good! I am getting married July 25, 2014 so I still have a good amount of time and I KNOW I can get my sexy body back. I want to lose about 30 lbs so I plan on doing Insanity then maybe Insanity Asylum or turboFire. I want to get in2 a good workout routine and stick with it. I'm tired of feeling the way I do and I went and tried on gowns and there is NO FREAKING WAY I am walking down the isle looking like this! Also my FI is gonna workout with me :) Not sure how that will turn out! HAHA

Thanks Kara!!  As you have seen us all say....its tough but if you stick to it you will get the results.

To this day I still tell myself that the DVDs were made so it is just as hard for me on day 1 as it is for me on day 30 or 60.  So I don't kill myself trying to keep up with the ppl on the video.  I know I am not at that level at the moment but will get there eventually.  It is so funny to look back at the first week from 4 weeks in and laugh at how hard it was for u and how easy it is now.  The Fit Test really helps to show you your progress too.  Just dont get discouraged if you can't keep up with push ups, switch kicks, in n outs and all that crazy shit.  Do what you can, go at your own pace and DON'T GIVE UP!!

Keep checking back in with us once you start.  We all help each other stay motivated and encouraged.

  4. Woohoo way to go girl!!

Please excuse the poor quality of the photos but here are my before and after results from INSANITY! I replaced one meal a day with Shakeology, pressed play everyday and lost a total of 4lbs, 6.75 inches overall and went down two pants sizes. I can't say enough about the program!! It'll work, if you do the work!!

  5. Good Job Ladies!!  Keep at it.  Can't wait to see how you all feel at the end.

Elissae - unfortunately I'm still doing PT for my knee.  I've been on the stationary bike a few times but I am so anxious to start doing more.  I have an obstacle course race in the beginning of April and I am getting nervous that I wont be ready.  Hopefully it's not much longer (fingers crossed)!!

  6. Junelove - you could totally do it on your own.  There can be some struggles along the way.  Printing was not my friend until I figured out a work around and then it was just fine.  I think you should attempt it.  My guests still talk about the invitations to this day.  I am so glad I did it.  If you need help or are even looking for someone to do them for you....just let me know.  Here to assist!!

  7. Good Luck with your workouts ladies.  Keep it up and stay motivated.  Each day your workout gets you one step closer to your goal.

I am nursing a knee injury right now so I cannot do much which is very frustrating.  I am very motivated at the moment and miss Insanity so much.  Just signed myself up for a obstacle course race in April.  Definitely need Insanity to help me get through that.

Have a great weekend, push hard and DIG DEEPER!!

Congrats!  Your wedding was beautiful.  I wanted to ask if ASP set up a separate table for your cake?  I'm wanting to add some something things to the table if they do?  Also, did you bring any of your own decorations...we are planning on doing that but can't seem to get an answer if they charge or if its a no, no.

    Thanks and congratulations!

I'm not Abby but I can answer your questions.

Yes they had a separate table for the cake so you can bring things to decorate it with.

Here is a pic of my cake table.

I brought all my own decorations.  Can't remember what they charged....think it was $65 to setup.

Here is a pic of my table.

  9. Hi Iberostar Paraiso brides!!  I didn't get married here but celebrated my 1 yr anniversary here.  What an amazing resort!!  You will all have an amazing time and an absolutely beautiful wedding.  We saw a few weddings being set up as we walked along the beach...gorgeous!!  The entire complex is amazing and your guests will have so much fun and be entertained the whole time with so many things to do.  I've heard great things about the WCs there...especially Jessica at the Grand.

Let me know if you have any questions about the resort.  I can't wait to hear how everyone's wedding goes!

Vote for Jessica and Salvatore's Aventura Spa, Mexico Wedding!!

    Woohoo!!  Good Luck girl!

  11. Hey MyTye2B!!  I agree with Kelly.  You can totally lose the weight and get into the best shape of your life (I sound like the infomercial haha) if you stick with it, stay disciplined and determined.  I guarantee you will feel so much better in just 3 wks when you head down to PC.  I know everyone makes excuses but there really is a work around for everything.

Live in an apt? - take your laptop and go to the gym or any outdoor area or advise your neighbor below that one hour out of everyday you will be making some noise but it will be temporary.

Dirty roommates? - clean the kitchen so you can use the things you need, put their dirty plates to the side or back in their rooms until it grows mold and they finally do something about it, designate an area of the fridge that is only yours and your groceries are not to be touched by others.

Traveling? - bring the DVDs with you and do it in your hotel room or hotel gym.

Nutrition/Bored with food? switch it up, try new recipes, make enough for leftovers, get a good protein powder to help you get your necessary protein intake, drink lots of water

Sore? - stretch, warm baths, glutamine/BCAAs, push through it, the soreness goes away eventually

Stick with it girl, check back in with us everyday if you need to.  We will keep you motivated and encouraged.  You can do it and you will be so happy you did.

Trust us....It is worth the pain, sweat and tears...we have all done it already. :)
