  1. Lisa, What dress did you decide to go with? I ordered dress number three from Babyonline about 3 weeks ago. I fell in love with an oscar de la renta and figured why not give Babyonline a shot after seeing the details on another bride's dress. Ordered a Cathedral length veil as well. I have to say, they are very different to deal with comparing them to Monica Bridal. There is definitely more attention and communication from Monica Bridal but I guess the end result is the most important factor. I was told a week ago they need several more days to complete. Not that I'm in a hurry, I'm just anxious to see it. G
  2. Angel 366 So sorry to hear about your sizing issues. Can you post up some pics? Do you have time to have them refund/remake your dress? If you ordered a stock size then maybe send it back get your refund and go with your custom measures. I would try that before I have a seamstress alter it. Too short could be an issue for any accomplished seamstress to adjust. Ginger
  3. and judging from Gracimurano's dress pix, Babyonline look to do very well in the lace/beading department as well. That dress is very detailed.
  4. Primavera: It's actually a Sandals dress and if you go to the bestbridal prices .com site - most of the dress are around 300-350 dollars with free delivery in the united states.
  5. Privarera There is a dress on the Dessy website that looks similar to this and is only a few hundred dollars if I recall. If you are running out of time and money is an issue, I'm pretty sure the Dessy dresses are very affordable. G
  6. Does anyone know of where to get knock off shoes? I'm in love with a pair of oscar de la renta but I'm not paying 800 dollars for em! We have knock of gowns, there must be shoes? thanks landies
  7. Karen Your dress is beautiful. I'm so glad it turned out for you and it fits to perfection with the exception of the length. Easily adjusted though. G
  8. Thanks a lot. I just really want it to be worn by someone.
  9. Hi ladies I'm selling my ruffled wedding dress if anyone is interested. I had it made by Monica Bridal out of China and is a knock off version of a Dere Kane. I paid 160.00 for it and is what I'm asking for it. Buyer is responsible for shipping. I have three dresses and the only reason I am selling is that my wedding plans have changed. The dress is very well made and is absolutely gorgeous. Almost identical to the original. I'm a street size 4 but this dress would fit up to a 6 possibly even an 8. It has a lace up back.
  10. Beachy - I love dress number 3. They are all very nice but 3 is my fav. Brandy - your dress turned out gorgeous. I love the flower details. They did a phenominal job.
  11. Magirl Your dress turned out beautiful! I love it. It's very feminine and flowy and girly. If I didn't have three already, I'd consider buying it. What's the size? I am thinking about selling my ruffled dress again, so one never knows. I am so bad, there is no controlling me when it comes to dresses.
  12. Because the title of this particular thread is "Post all knock off wedding dress questions/comments here". Just sayin'.
  13. aussie-2 The dress is beautiful. I've only ordered from Monica Bridal. Two wedding dresses and a veil. The two dresses are in my profile album. The ruffled dress and the pink dress. The veil hasn't arrived yet for the pink dress. The other is a sample pronovias. I think the only complaints that were ever posted about Monica Bridal on here was about sizing. I'm sure some others will chime in. My ruffled dress was a little big but that was my fault for not having my measurements taken by a pro. I had pro measurements taken to provide to the rep for the pink dress and you can see from the pics that it fit like a glove. They are fantasic with detailing ie beads, embroidery and appliques etc etc. The rep is a sweetheart to deal with and is very accommodating. Just make sure you have lots of conversation with her before you order. Good luck. Ginger
  14. That's great! care to share pics of the dress you ordered? Which seller did you go with...
  15. I wish there had been a David's Bridal in my area when I went shopping for my dress. Although I did get mine at a great price.
  16. I'm offended when someone gives me the finger, drives in the outside lane, cuts in line at the grocery store, stands too close to me in a bank line, etc etc...I am not offended when someone expresses an opinion in an open and public forum about the cost of one clothing item. Keep in mind Msjulie this is a thread about Knock Off Dresses and the particular poster you are offended for or felt the need to defend, was advertising a 6,000 dollar dress in the same forum. It was about the dollars, nothing more. Prettypig did explain herself and I believe somewhat apologyzed if she offended you a posts back. Let's get back to the subject at hand...Cheap ol knockoff wedding dress...
  17. Thanks Magirl. I love it! PrettyPig : interesting choice of tv watching...kinda dark...why am I not suprised? I do not mean that as an insult - just so's ya know.
  18. um... I meant what I said...does that count...is that what you mean? I think maybe the issue is "the interpretation of what was said" hehehehe pass the popcorn...this is better than the TV tonight...ahahahahaha
  19. Oh I think we all know Miss Pretty Pig did not mean her comments as an insult. I'm sure it was all about the price tag associated with the dress. Let's not forget this is a Knockoff thread where we spend on average 200 dollars. And by the way, how many times have we all joked on this thread about our "big poofie dresses". I'll be the first to say that mine looks like a lace doily or a tablecloth but I love it just the same. I mean c'mon really ladies, we dress up in these big white dresses, adorn our heads with tiaras, flowers, veils, jewels etc etc, and what? expect that we can't poke fun at ourselves and each other. None of us are queens, or princesses. Except for me that is...lol We need to have a sense of humor. That's all. I for one love snarky comments. I add them to my data base and use them at a later date. hehehe.
  20. Magirl, I opted to remove the straps too . The Pronovias dresses are made so smartly. Simple buttons on the inside of the bodice to use the straps or not and the built in corsett is amazing. No extra girl control necessary.
  21. Magirl, my Pronovias by Atelier Diagnonal is almost identical to this dress. I bought it as a sample in the summer. The dress is absolutely gorgeous. I have photos of it in my album here on the forum.
