Hey Ladies - I am without E-Ring as well - I left mine in Toronto on Dec 23rd and still have no idea when it will be done I had my bridal shower without it on!!! First week of Feb works good for me as well, but only on the 2nd, my Daddy is coming in the night of the 3rd for the weekend and we are going skiing in Lake Louise and staying at the Banff Springs! I am so excited - totally a Daddy's girl. Let me know if Wednesday the 2nd works for you all - we could do it at O again? I really enjoyed it there, and parking is perfect! Natalie

Hey Ladies - Happy New Years! Good news - I have 20 guests booked so far and I hit my group requirement!!!!! I am sooo excited! On another note, our weddings are coming so closer - mine is 3 months out today and I know a couple of you are getting married next month!!!! Is anyone having massive stress? I AM I don't even know why as I am pretty much on the ball with everything. How are you ladies all doing? I do need to create a wedding website and was wondering if you guys have any suggestions of which site to use? Also, I need to go see Connie to do all my dress fittings. I need them to be finalized by April 1st! When should I contact her to start the process? Are we getting together soon - we need to see the FEB brides before they leave! Natalie

Hi maplesugar! I am going there in April from Toronto and I got 1800 per person, and you had to book a min. of 5 rooms to get that rate. You see it lower on website because it is based on whatever seats are left on a flight, so the rates will continue to increase closer to the wedding. If all your guests wanted to book today for your wedding in Nov. they could, but the costs you are seeing on websites are not neccessarily going to have 30 seats on the plane at that price. As ppl start booking tickets on websites, the price start adjusting, that is why prices can change from minute to minute. What a travel agent can do is ensure a fair rate for all your guests that will never go up. You simply have to put a deposit down and then you have to pay in full closer to the wedding date. For example, I put my deposits down in October, and my guests must book by Jan 10th to get the group rate. Currently on-line because it is getting closer to the wedding date the cheapest week flight to PPr is 1950, so $150 more per person. I also got a waive on all departure taxes, we get premium seating and also get to go to the VIP section at the airport. I hope this helps!

Megs - I have an ongoing list of pictures and things I have seen from different sites so I just keep on posting them to a word file!!! I am so excited - when are you getting married? I am April 13th - it would be soo neat if we are down there around the same time. Maybe we can help each other plan along the way!!!! I wish I had thirty ppl booked so far lol! I am assuming I will have about 20-25 ppl there, but you never know. The booking deadline is Jan 10th - so hopefully we have a good idea of how many ppl will be there by then. I agree with you about a cheesy DJ vibe..but my family really likes to dance, and I like the idea of a dance floor with some chinese lanterns around it on the beach. I guess it will depend on how many ppl come. We are also having a cigar roller if enough ppl come! But I am all about a non cheesy wedding! Nat

Ohhh fun! I am getting married at the Jellyfish too!!! Megs - I would love to see the info you sent to Mayte just to get some ideas. I really want a bonfire as well! What r your colours? Mine are very subtle, mostly white and then accents of green, lilac, gray! I really wanted a unique feel for the wedding and I know Jellyfish will give us this. Who are you using for a DJ? How many ppl do you have going? So many questions!!! Natalie

Hey Sandy - I am pumped about the Jellyfish, but still totally scared about getting married on the 13th. My mom says that 13 is a lucky number in Italy, so it can't be that bad. However, I am still having nightmares about it. I am not doing "change the dates", just because it is only a day difference, and really no one has booked yet, so it shouldn't be a huge deal. I am going to send an email out though to let everyone know. How r things with you and planning? Are we doing a get together anytime soon? Proti - Thanks for the update on prices...I think $1000 is okay...kinda expensive, but really we are not going to find anything crazy cheap. Cookie - I also wanted to bring down stuff, and saw another bride on here say she just paid extra to have additional luggage and all in all it still worked out to be way cheaper than buying the decorations from the resort. I think as long as you don't go crazy, and pack everything well, you should be okay. It is so hard to decide without being able to see the finished set up at our venue.

I just booked my wedding for Jellyfish on April 13th. I am so excited to have a more intimate wedding ceremony and also free range to decorate anywhere I want without crazy costs. Mayte is great to work with, and based on other brides reviews, I know our wedding is going to be amazing and not just an "resort wedding". I hope I can chat wedding plans with some of the other Jellyfish brides out there. Natalie

Proti - I love those suits, that is exactly the idea I have in mind for my FI and his GM's. Where are those suits from? Please let me know if you end up finding a reasonable price for an outfit like that, as I would love to find something on the less expensive side. We have four GM's to buy for...eeek! Some bad news happened to me a few weeks ago and I was going to come on here and rant then, but I was so angry I decided to calm down first. Sunquest decided to cancel the flight my group was flying on, and the only option was to leave four days earlier. It really wasn't a huge deal, but I have sent out my save the dates, and now our wedding date has to be changed, because we were leaving on April 11th and the wedding was on the 14th, but now we have to leave on the 8th, and there is no way I am having my wedding the day before we leave. The only other night available to have the wedding is on the 13th, which I am slightly superstitious about. I just hate the fact that all my STD's went out with the wrong wedding date. Makes me furious. Apparently after all of this, I asked my TA if there was any chance things could get changed again, and she said YES...not very likely, but still, how can they expect us to pay all these deposits and then just switch our flights. I am actually excited though, and turned this negative into a positive buy switching my wedding venue completely. We are now getting married April 13th at the Jellyfish restaurant in Punta Cana, and I am soooooo excited about it. I get to plan everything, and Mayte (the coordinator at the restaurant) said she will decorate however I want. I like the idea that we are going to be taking our guests away from the resort for the night and having a more intimate wedding offsite. I hope it all works out! Also, does anyone have ideas on their table setups? I want a really contemporary feel. My colours are lilac, slate gray and green. I do want white table clothes and lots of candles, with a few hints of my colours. Let me know what you guys are doing. Natalie

I am free...also kinda off topic, but does anyone have a nail spa they could recommend to me. In Toronto there are several spots that cost 40-50 for both mani and pedi and they are great places. Just wondering if there are any around here like that. I live downtown, but I work in the south. Also, how about a waxing place...going to a wedding in Cabo actually so I need a clean up? The jellyfish is a resturant just 5 min away from the PPR and it is beautiful...I am debating having my wedding and reception there, or just the reception. There is no time limit on how long you party for, and the food is apparently much better.
