I stayed at the melia caribe last march. We stayed in the romantic suite. I have pics if you are interested! it was very modern and beautiful. We did tour about the royal service and it was just as nice as well but larger, like with living area and kitchen etc. I know we didnt need all that so the romance suite was perfect for us, but it is your wedding and the extra room may be nice to have in terms of getting ready etc .If you want to see pics let me know. Plans are slow. I have been busy standing in weddings that planning is slow but so far pretty easy. I think we have chosen the white gazebo on the beach however not 100%. Garden grill private reception and we will be married by Pastor Rick York (english speaking) civil ceremony. I have chosen flowers I like and a cake so I am sending pictures today to Ana Lida. Cannot decide on colors, have you??? What did you decide for photography? resort?

Hey guys, I am just curious as to whether any of you getting married on or the week of April 8-15th, 2011 and wanna share a photographer. I can give you more details about him if your interested. Even if your not interested in sharing him, let me know if you are going that week, curious to know who will be around for brides that week so excited!

I am in the same boat ladies.. I have tons of my girlfriends coming to the wedding but have yet to ask many of them as my FI doesnt have anyone booked yet. If we end up only have a MOH and best man, they my girls that I Would have had stand for me will get other special tasks like reading at the ceremony etc. You can always have more on one side then the other and just have the walk in alone with the best man at the front already and when they walk out just put two on the arm of one, or whatever. It is a destination wedding remember and they are usually less tradional, and well its your wedding so whatever you want have... so what with traditions! thats just how I feel. best of luck ladies

I am still confused about the surcharge........so if the photographer is not a resort photographer than the fee applies If we bring our own from home, or its a family member, does it apply?? HELP

I have heard wonderful things from the girls on here who married there and also from family/friends who have travelled there. I too will be a Bahia Principe Bride on April 13th, 2011!!! So far I have found the WC amazing! very accommodating!

Our date is now April 13th, 2011 at 4pm, had to change it once we booked our travel as our moncton and halifax departures were on different days... and everyone needed to be there for the wedding, so after some phone calls and convincing, the WC changed my date!!! SO EXCITED, feels more real now.. We also booked with Sunquest on the Bavaro side, love hearing great things about it, keep em coming.

Just wanted to share my excitement with all of you. Received confirmation from my WC today for our wedding - Arpril 15th, 2011 at 4:00pm at the Bahia Prinicipe Punta Cana, DR!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm on a wedding high!!

Looking for advice on this resort, past or present brides or even those who have been on vacation there can speak to the calibre of this resort. Any information would be helpeful. Thanks

Natasha, how many people did you have at your wedding? I love the packages they offer just the extra per person rates are not that appealing... did you get any sort of deal?
