  1. Just got the wedding booked, still working on getting the TA stuff squared away and deposit to resort... Ok, everyone else can laugh wildly and be thankful by how much further along they are!! Dress shopping this Saturday, working on STD's today. Yes, it will be simple - thank goodness! Good luck to you all, too. Here's to keeping down the stress and remembering what's important throughout all the planning and preparation!
  2. I've seen a few posts here and there about some ideas, but no place to consolidate for those with kids already. I have five kids - 3 biological, 2-step from ages 1 - 9. It's important to us to have them involved in the ceremony. I've heard that some include them in a sand ceremony or as the wedding party. Does anyone have any other ideas or seen anything neat to help them be a part? Also, we are really having trouble with the rooms. Not sure how to book rooms with so many! Any advice from TA's would be appreciated. We are sending all of them back with family for a few days after the wedding so we can have a honeymoon! Yay!! Love to hear thoughts, ideas, and suggestions from others who have or are doing DW's with kids in tow! So glad to have a kids' club!!
  3. I have five kids, so I know there's nothing like hoping YOUR child doesn't take away from the special moments of the bride and groom. It can be mortifying for the parent (been there!!!!) when your child is stealing the limelight from the bride! That being said, I've been way more worried about it than anyone in the room, and it does make for great pics later! Interestingly, I think I'll be less worried about their behavior during MY wedding that I was for anyone else's!
  4. Both second: he lost his wife after 16 yrs. My husband ran off after 12 years. Together, we have five kids - any threads on how to incorporate kids in a DW? I may start one, since I haven't found it... Praying, believing this is it forever.
  5. This is tough! We are a blended family with five young kids, so BD gifts are out of the question, mainly because I already have the stretch marks!! I really want to do something kind of personal that will signify our future together. (I guess that's the idea of the watch...) I liked one of the first ideas of giving a handmade box with fifty places you can travel to together. If anyone has any ideas along these lines, I'd love to know!
  6. Chair sashes: Ok, looking at the pictures, I assumed these were part of the package, but I see it says "white covers". In the picture, I see wood chairs, no cover and a bow - anyone know what the "standard" actually looks like? Is the website what it looks like as standard? Thanks!
  7. For those of you that got a good deal, would you mind sharing your TA or where you found them?

  9. I'm a newbie, and trying to get my posts up, but my wedding is coming so soon, I'm not sure I'll have enough time. Anyway, I'd appreciate anyone with any documents from Ana to email me - [email protected]. I'm going to book the ultimate package and need gold menu, cakes, pictures - basically everything since I'm just getting started. Thanks sooooo much!
  10. I am trying to get my wedding set for this July - I know it's not much time, but such is life... Anyway, the only times left are for 10 AM - Does anyone know how the lighting will be for a morning wedding? And how will they do the reception? I'm sorry if this has already been asked - I read about 40 pages and tried a search, but didn't find anything. Thanks for your input! Sure hope that post about Ana getting an assistant really happens soon!
