Hey Girls!! With 10 days left till my wedding and 7 days until i travel to Le Blanc i am excited and stressed at the same time!! I found out yesterday that there is someone getting married the day before me, lol! i am so curious to know if she is a BDW bride!! So if you are fess up so we can maybe meet up!! Is the Le Blanc bride who is getting married on May 13th here?!

i'm in northern jersey, bergen county. however, i would be willing to meet somewhere in the middle if anyone else would be willing. this way maybe we could get more bdw brides together in one place? any suggestions, ideas, etc?

Does anyone know if Le Blanc makes you wear the usual "resort bracelet" and if so, do you have to wear them on the wedding day?

I am still having trouble changing my profile picture. Am I the only one having this issue? Does anyone have any help or tips they can pass on?

Is anyone else having trouble changing their profile picture? I have attempted to change it several times using a pic from my computer or the same pic uploaded to photobucket and I keep getting the same response as follows: "unknown object to create image association with" The pic is a JPEG and I resized to make sure it wasn't too large. I don't understand why I am having such trouble changing my profile picture. Can anyone help?

With four months left till my big day at Le Blanc, I have to say I have been beyond excited since after the new year!! For some reason since then my upcoming wedding has become something more real!! Every day I get butterflies in my stomach, my heart races and my thoughts constantly wander to wedding, beaches, pools, food, etc. I get so damn giddy at times it is nearly silly!!

As of last Friday future hubby and I booked our stay at Le Blanc!! We are both super excited and couldn't be more happy about our decision to marry at Le Blanc!!

Why would you not recommend your photographer? Did she get drunk during your wedding or something unprofessional?

oh my goodness!! your hair looks fabulous!! i am impressed that the curls held till the next day. every bride i have ever seen usually had their curls fall before their reception, lol. your dress is very gorgeous and you look beautiful in it!! love the pic where you can see your loubies!!

My confession may run a little long. I write like I speak which can end up very long winded. Sorry in advance if you read it. I won’t be offended if you skip it, lol! I am the oldest of 5 and the middle child is the only boy. My sisters and I were always very close. When I was 21, I was awarded custody of my two youngest sisters and my sister after me helped me with the expenses of “raising†our two (at that time) high school aged sisters. We all lived together in an apartment that I ended up shouldering a large chunk of the cost of aside from food, clothes, etc. expenses for the two youngest. I worked two jobs, one full and one part-time, 7 days a week. Because of our situation we had always been close and put each other first before friends. When my sister after me got married, I threw her a bridal shower. It was hard since she doesn’t like garlic and a lot of types of food and worked on weekends. It ended up being a brunch. I had to deal with her future MIL and SistersIL who wanted a lot of say but were putting in NO money whatsoever and didn’t even help with set up at the venue or anything. Her future MIL even bought them a suitcase set after I told her I was going to buy them one!! My two youngest sisters never made it to a single appointment to look at dresses. In fact, one never showed up since she “over sleptâ€. Thank goodness my FMIL was there or I would have ended up there by myself feeling a like a looser. My married sister made it to a dress hunting appointment and was really nice about the whole thing which surprised me since she HATED shopping for her own dress. I had a wine and cheese party because my sisters wanted to help me with my save the dates. I wanted to just let them stuff the envelopes and enjoy each other’s company instead of doing any actual work. My married sister and her husband came on time and were so helpful. My two youngest sisters showed up over 3 hours late and didn’t even tell me they were going to be late. They apparently were “running errands†before the party and “got stuck in trafficâ€. They then left early so one of them could go to another party. I was completely disappointed. I asked my sister who is married about a bridal shower for me and she told me she didn’t think it would be appropriate since I was asking people to spend money on traveling to my wedding. Again, I was greatly disappointed. I feel like I’ve done so much for my sisters and I have never asked for anything in return. However, I can’t help but feel like they are unappreciative of all I have done and continue to do for them and take me for granted. I hate saying anything negative about them but this has really been bothering me. I am just going to keep in mind that I can’t lean on them for any sort of support during my wedding planning and I won’t be disappointed. I guess I just wanted to get my feelings “out thereâ€.

I have trouble getting people to RSVP if I am having a party or get together at my house or a restaurant. I am already waaay prepared to have to "gently" remind people (aka harass/stalk, lol) to find out if they intend to travel for the wedding. what is it with people these days and their inability to rsvp for anything?! it's like they assume that you know what their intentions are.

Let me try this again, lol! Any girls from NJ looking to have another meet up?

I am going to say #1 and #3. I am only saying #3 cause I bought it and it is the dress I am going to wear in May!! However, they all look fabulous on you but like everyone else said #1 seems to be screaming for you. It just fits and compliments your figure so well. good luck and keep us posted on which one you decide!!

I really like a lot of aspects about the show. The writing and acting is very good. The editing and cinematography is excellent. As mentioned before the costumes are awesome. I [LOVE] the music in the show. It's humorous and true to the period. What i was initially upset over and then got over was the fact that it is filmed in brooklyn and not atlantic city. The scenes with the ocean is fake. The ocean is computerized, lol!! Â I haven't been able to get into any HBO shows in a long time. I think Rome and Luckie Louie was the last 2 I liked. They really dropped off. I hope this show doesn't lose it's way by not having anywhere to go story wise.
