I finally signed up and I am using them as well, and my specialist said that if the price goes down in the future before the travel date, they will be able to get the adjustment for the price. It is a little hard to believe but I specifically asked and she said yes. So, you can ask your wedding specialist about that as well, you have a lot of time till December so the price might get cheaper? I am also doing the preferred room with the free wedding package. The upgrade only cost like $400, so it is a good deal:) Plus, it will be closer to the beach! BTW, That's great you get to stay 10 days!!

I am now trying to book my room/flight with my TA, and the price is about $3500 for 7 nights including air and airport transfers and preferred club ocean view room. Is that price reasonable compared to yours? We are going there late September so it is the off peak season so should have the lowest price out of the year. I am wondering if the price is going to be lower once it gets closer to the date because of lower demand, but I don't want to take chances either....

Because I'm wondering more guests you have, more rooms to book, therefore more discounts? I will only have 10 guests or so, so I'm wondering if discounts won't be much with booking through TA. Hi Ladies!! I have decided to have my wedding at SMB and now filling out the Q&A form!!! Questions to all of you ladies - are you using travel agency or just directly booking your rooms? I am trying to find a good TA and if there is one you can recommend, pleaaase share!!! I hear direct booking is cheaper but using TA if something happens (flight cancel, hotel change at last minute etc), TA can handle all the crises. I'm looking into Destinationweddings.com since that has lots of testimonials on their website, and seems like they are widely used. Or is there a website that has reviews on DW TA?? Thanks!!

Thank you TA Jill for the insightful info. So do I have to pay a fee to TA for booking all the guests room/airfare? I just don't know how the whole thing works and how can I find a good trusted TA? My parents are in overseas (Japan) so they have to come all the way from there and does a TA take care of that too and try to find the best rate of airfare etc? My clarifying questions to everyone is, is the hotel rooms and flights actually cheaper by booking with a TA? Or is booking through Orbitz or CheapCarribean.com cheaper?? Happy Update! I've tried another e-mail address and 3 hours later, I got a reply from the new wedding coordinator!! She sent over the wedding brochures and my date is available for now, so it is a relief! Anyone who wants to contact them about wedding, the e-mail address is [email protected].

Thank you Josietoms!! I found another e-mail address and I e-mailed today. I heard from a nice lady who's visited CRT for 19 times that there is a new wedding coordinator whose name is Jaquiline. But that's as much information I have so far for CRT wedding.... If I still have trouble communicating with them, I will have to switch to Secrets Maroma Beach Resort. I love the resort also but it's the cost issue that I'm hung up on.. Anyway, good luck on your wedding at Catalonia Riviera Maya!!!

Hi Ladies!! I am a newbie and I've been reading this entire thread because I'm still in the process of finding the hotel for my wedding. But I am now leaning towards EPM after reading all your posts. I am also looking at Excellence Riviera Cancun since that is further away from the Cancun and I prefer more intimate relaxed, but EPM seems to have better outdoor areas for the wedding such as X-lounge and the restaurants. I am an ultimate indecisive person, and there are so many resorts to choose from. I will keep reading your posts and since I don't have enough posts, I might ask you individually to send me the attachments you posted here, just a heads-up Anyway thank you so much for the helpful info, I really appreciate it!!!
