I booked through a travel agent and it was fine... I think most people do! I think this refers to anyone booking outside of your group booking ie sell off sites and last minute deals!!

I also had one more thing to share... I officially hit 25 people booked this weekend and 92 room nights... WOOT WOOT! Thankfully for me everyone is staying at least 7 nights and a couple couples are staying 14 nights... yayyyyyyy!

I know right? One thing down... 8 million to go... haha! I am thinking about sending out MIB thank yous to people who have booked - is that cheesy?? I couldnt afford to send them to everyone i was inviting cuz the invite list was huge but we will only have 30 - 35 people come so it will be more reasonable! What do you guys think? And what could I write on the message in a bottle besides thanks for booking!

To my canadian brides I just found an awesome deal at Shoppers Drug Mart... Passport covers for 2.99 & matching luggage tags for $1.49. They only had metallic pink & silver when I went but I bought them for all my bridesmaids! Too Cute!!

I am planning on doing things for my photographers... I think I will do a modified OOT bag - something not so expensive as the others! And I will definitly invite them to the rehearsal dinner! Mine will be taking photos I'm sure but I also hope they stop and eat with us. The more you get to know them before the wedding the better your photos will be!

Hey ladies, I am almost at my one year to go mark... whoo! Save the dates/invites are gone and people are starting to book this week! I found out my BFF is pregnant though so she is going to have a 4 month old at the wedding - not ideal but as long as she comes I'm happy! I have 2 little kids anyways so it's a very family friendly wedding! I havent gone dress shopping yet either... I wanted to lose some weigh first but so far I havent done anything to start losing weight lol! I think I am going to go to the US to dress shop because prices are SO much more reasonable!! I am starting to make a DIY list so that I can start working on stuff but its hard when I have NO idea how many people are going to come!!

Yes - I only had one friend help me and we still finished them all in one evening so it really wasnt that bad. And i was surprised that it didnt take my very long to design them in photoshop either! This site has so many helpful templates so that helps!

From a bride who just finished my DIY boarding passes I will say this... I save ALOT of money... I made an envelope for the boarding passes and I did 3 boarding passes per invite and it cost me just over $1 per invite and I did 60 as well. For what I wanted I was looking at $5 per invite from anyone on etsy or elsewhere. I saved over $200! I am happy about that now obviously however while I was cutting them I was wishing that I had paid someone else to do it. Also, I have looked at them SO much that I am not in love with them anymore.... Moral of the story I guess is if you can squeeze it in your budget to have them done I would but if you have a tight budget DIY will work out to save you money

Agreed! I don't know how brides plan destination weddings without this site - honestly! Once you get your date & time locked in (which I just did last week so don't feel behind) you are set - we can help you with everything else!!!
