  1. Hey JA Brides, How many days before your wedding do you plan to arrive in JA? My Fiance and I are in the process of booking our time off for our wedding and I would like to know how many days do you suggest us arriving in Jamaica before our wedding day. Our wedding is on a Saturday and we were thinking to arrive in JA on the Wed. Is 3 days enough time prior to our wedding, for any last minute planning?
  2. Firefly, Port Maria is where we will have our wedding.

  7. Hi Brides-to-be, Since our wedding will be a destination wedding I thought given our guest passport holders as a wedding favour would be a great idea. I would like to know if any of you ladies know where I can get great looking passport holders. Your help is much appreciated.
  8. My Colours are Red Rose and Navy. Should my BMs wear silver shoes or champagne? What about their bouquets? Your suggestions are greatly appreciated.
  9. I ran into the same problem and decided to have our wedding off the resort. We picked an exotic location through Tropical Weddings Jamaica. Trust me going this route is less expensive and Almarie has so far been awesome!!! I've heard nothing but great reviews about Almarie and Tropical Weddings Jamaica.
  10. I started planning my wedding at the beginning of this year and our wedding is Nov 2010.
  11. Thanks for the great ideas! I'm liking the Blue Mountain coffee and Jerk Seasoning idea!!!
  12. I am using Tropical Wedding Jamaica for my wedding this coming November, Almarie is fantastic. I’ve heard nothing but great reviews about her. Any questions you have she replies promptly. My wedding will be at the Firefly in Port Maria.
  13. Hello Brides, I would like to know what wedding favors will you ladies be having at your upcoming wedding, for your guests? Are you purchasing at home and having it shipped to Jamaica or will you be ordering your favors in Jamaica? If so please provide any links you may have. I’m open to any ideas you brides may have. I’m looking for gift ideas that will be memorable, unique and not too expensive.
  14. I also recommend that you contact Almarie Walters from Tropical Weddings Jamaica. She is also coordinating my wedding and she's been FABULOUS, she answers all your questions thoroughly and replies quickly. I have not heard any negative feedback about Almarie and so far I have no complaints. I highly recommend you check it out.
  15. I also would love to hear more about TWJ and their services. I haven’t booked anywhere yet, I’m exploring my options. Whatever information anyone could provide it would be much appreciated, also does anyone know how much the Always & Forever Package cost?
  16. Hello Brides-to-be, I am from Canada as well, living in the Toronto area. I’m looking to get married at GBP in Nov of this year. I have not booked yet, I’m still waiting for questions to be answered by Beverly. Since many of you will be getting married at GBP before me I would love to lean on your wisdom for ideas. We are looking at 75-100 guests and would like to have a private reception. Beverly provide a prepaid party package one for $60per person and the other for $100per person. Is anyone out there doing the prepaid party package, which consist of Special Decoration with Tikki Torches, welcome cocktail with coconut water, Steel Band or Live band, Night “Show†of 45 minutes, Special typical dresses (not sure what this is) and buffet menu. Does GBP do custom wedding packages? There are many items on the list of packages that we will not be needing, because we are getting an offsite photographer, our own minister and if we go with the prepaid party package I don’t know if the sit down reception that is included in the package is relevant. If any of you plan to do a private reception can you let me know what your plans are? I’m trying to find ways to bring down the cost.
