They said other brides have done this before so they are comfortable shooting TTD. I wanted an example but didn't get one. Hope that helps! Awesome! I'm going with the free package because I have very few guest coming so anything I choose to do will cost $. Claudia's TTD session is $1000 and Juan is $700. Do you mind sharing the resort photographers email with me so I can see what they charge? I've already hired Claudia for my pics so I don't want to shell out too much more money but I know it will be soooo worth it! Thanks!
  3. Ok, so random question about ttd sessions...do u wear light makeup and just waterproof eyeliner and mascara? Or no makeup at all? I could just see all my TTD pics coming out with racoon eyes and runny makeup. Brides who have done ttd...what did you wear for makeup?
  4. Is anyone planning on doing a TTD session while in Mexico? I am going back and forth about it and can't decide! If I do it, I don't know what photographer to go with. I already have Claudia booked for the wedding and I think another session with her is just too pricey. Anyone have any advice?
  5. VistaPrint is amazing! I don't know why alot of people get scammed but I love their website!!!

We are doing statium cups with a "Dreams Riviera Cancun 2010" and a tropical logo. The man is designing a few options for us right now and I can email them to you when I get it if you are interested. I read the reviews that said alot of people didn't use them at the resorts but for the price I figured it was a good item they could take home and re-use and a cute souvenir. I mean who couldn't use extra cups? I might be interested in going in on bags if they were a good price. I'm trying to stay within $3-$5 for the bags and I figured the closer we get to fall, the more they will be clearanced.
  7. Hey there! I am wanting to put cups in my OOT bags but don't need the 50 required to place the order. I only need about 25. If any bride out there is interested in splitting an order, please let me know. We could just do something like Cancun or Riviera Maya 2010 or something like that. I'm not picky and I'm pretty open to the design and cup selection.
  8. Ok, I know that there is another post that I could put this under, but I figured I'ld post here too. I am wanting to put some cups in our OOT bags but I only need 20 or 25 of them. I was wondering if any of you brides would like to split an order of cups? I'm getting married in Oct but we could just do something like 2010 and Riviera Maya or something like that. Please let me know if you are interested. Thanks!
  9. Ok, I know I'm a little late to the game but I would love to make a logo for our destination wedding. I don't have enough posts to open the files so is there another place where I can get directions? I am kinda good on the computer but some directions would help out amazingly! Can anyone out there please help me
  10. Hey Laura! Have u received ur pics yet from Claudia and did she actually do your shoot? Did you tell her any special poses or pics from her website that you liked so they could recreate them? Any info you can pass on to make sure my pics are the best? Also, what package did u get? How long did you have her? Thanks for all the info!
  11. Ha! Ha! So I had my first cancun wedding dream and Ana was in it. She was showing me around the property and I was telling her how bad she needed an assistant! LOL! Woke up before I made it down the isle but it was a good dream!

Anyone else going to be down there around Oct 24?? I know I have asked this before- but what are you guys doing for your rehearsal dinners? We will be arriving on the 24th. Our wedding is the 26th. What time is your wedding and are u having it on the beach or at the gazebo? If I am there in time, I may have to sneak peak at yours. Ours will be very small, just family and a few friends so we will not be having a rehearsal dinner. How long will you be at dreams?

Nobody used them...the drinks at the resort come in nice big glasses so there wasn't really a need for them. They took up a lot of room in the suitcase to get them there and probably, if I had to do it all over, I might not have gotten them. Everyone really liked them though and I've seen them being used since we got home. Girl, you did an amazing review and totally put my heart at ease! I can not wait for my wedding and I can not wait to see your pics. I just send Claudia my deposit! Thank you for all the info and passing it along. Enjoy being married!!!!

I also will have a small group coming with me and don't see the need in paying for a packag at an all-inclusive resort. What package are you going with? My TA asked Ana about the resturant ordeal, and she said since we are having our pics taken after the wedding, someone could go put in a reservation and we would possibly all get to sit together...no guarentee though. Since your wedding is a little before mine, maybe you can fill me in on everything! Also, another question for brides with small parties...are you getting the microphone package and what do u do about music as you walk down the isle? Just not have any?

But it is an exception that she'd have to make and I don't know what her reasoning is for granting exceptions. I'm sorry it's frustrating but seriously consider getting your TA involved. IF you don't have a TA - I used Berman Travel and they do a great job and have a good relationship with Dreams. Yeah, my TA has been involved from the get go. She is a personal friend so she is taking this as serious as can be. She has gotten emails back from Ana but they don't answer all the questions. She has said it was ok to bring an outside photographer but if they were eating, I would have to buy a day pass. I'm only going to have a short photo session so eating is not needed. When I went to book my photographer, she sent me an email and told me to double check with Ana about the outside photographer fees because she has heard different from other brides I guess. When we sent an email to double check, we've gotten back a different answer so my TA is trying to get it all figured out. I just don't understand why so many ppl are getting so many different responces from Ana. I'm having a very small simple wedding so my main goal is to get amazing pics. I couldn't imagine booking a huge wedding with the limited answers and confussion. I have a TON of respect for all you brides booking a large wedding and reception at Dreams because I would be going crazy! LOL! I know everyone's wedding will be amazing, but when your dealing with sooo many people and decisions...I can see how it is WAY more stressful.
  19. Laura- enjoy your wedding and be sure to fill all us anxious brides in when you get back. I'm sure your day will go amazing and your wedding will be beautiful! Congrats!

I know people say rest assured everything will be fine and work out and etc etc but when you are the paying bride you dont feel like that AT ALL! Its not about being a bridezilla, its about we are paying a lot of money and just want to know what is going on. I agree! What is upsetting is the fact that we (well some of us) are trying to book outside vendors and not getting a straight answer is driving me nuts!!! I don't want to send a deposit to the photographer if we aren't able to use her or if we have to pay a high fee to use her. I do need an answer to this question soon because if I don't send the deposit and book her, she may possibly be booked for my day. I don't understand why Ana tells everyone a different answer and with the resort being new, it seems that as time goes along, rules and fees begin to change. I would feel more comfortable if I saw everyone getting somewhat of the same answers to their questions and concerns but it seems as though everyday 2 and 3 people are getting different answers from Ana. What gives?
  21. So, as it seems everyone is having a difficult time getting an answer from Ana. I am also planning on booking Claudia for my photographer and I am about to send her a deposit, so has anyone gotten a straight answer on having an outside photographer? As for the Plan B location if it rains...has Ana told any of you where or what it is?

I just booked a garden view room. We had to book the honeymoon suite. There are only like 3 on the property is what my TA told me. I wonder what the rooms are next to the suite...maybe some of my guest can book them so at least we'll be next to ppl we know? Also, was the suite spacious? I've heard it's just a little bigger than the regular rooms and I'm worried about getting ready on the big day and having enough room for everyone to fit in. We looked into upgrading to the Master Suite but the difference in price was large and I'ld rather it go towards my photographer. Did u happen to take any pics of the room when you stayed there?
  23. Pictures were beautiful! Makes me so excited for my day!!! I loved her flower arrangement also. Since Ana is sooo busy, I don't want to bother her with little things so can anyone tell me what the weather is like the end of October and when the sunset is? Ana has still not let me pick my time. Also, any other October brides out there...what colors are yall doing? And, is anyone having a gazebo wedding?
